This gas station Indian food is way underrated, but I understand why people have their reservations. We make a couple of road trips a year to DC and this is on our route. We saw the billboards several times before finally making the stop and we weren't disappointed! The gas station itself is not clean or organized in the slightest. They really need to step it up. And ordering was challenging because of the language barrier. We waited maybe 20 mins, which we were fine with as there were several others waiting as well. But the food made it all worth it. I'm thinking 3, my partner says 4, so let's call it 3.5. TLDR: This is far from the best Indian food I've ever had but it's a damn sight better than it has any right to be. This is a counter service restaurant at a truck stop in southern Indiana. You're not expecting a white tablecloth experience and you're not going to get it. The service was polite enough and I could have done with fewer flies but otherwise it's okay. We ordered chicken curry (medium heat), goat saag (very spicy), keema naan, and chapatis. The curry was much spicier than medium but had a very good flavor. However, there wasn't that much chicken and what there was was dry and stringy despite it being dark meat. Also, I asked for no cilantro - repeated it more than once - but as you can see in the photo there was still cilantro all through the dish. Big problem. The goat was very well liked but there also wasn't much meat in it. The "spicy" heat level was significantly milder than my "medium" chicken but the flavor was very good. The keema naan was also well liked but I couldn't taste it myself due to the cilantro. Each entree comes with a full pint of basmati rice so if you like your sauce you may have a nice bonus meal. read more

She barely looked at me and when concluded kind of just stood there with the receipt in her hand while looking elsewhere waiting for me to reach over and take it. After waiting 10 mins for preparation I decided to eat in the Tesla because all those exhausted sleepy truckers were making me sleepy as well. It was piping hot...and delicious. I was real excited for this place, I see the signs on 70 all the time, but didnt get to stop till 9/13, they had nice special of free mango lassi for following them on IG, it was decent, I got butter/tikka masala chicken, like a lot of restaurants do they they cut up old tandoori chicken you can tell buy the color of the meat. But this was very tough, the sauce was good, very little chicken though. They told me they have wifi, I looked, they only had xfinity and you need an acct for that, they had couple of their own wifi channels but stated they did not know the password for those accounts. But the biggest point losers was the flies, and having 12 hanging tape fly traps hanging from the ceiling, that had yellow tape covred in flies hanging 2 feet down from each one, I understand why they had the traps up, though the rest of the area looked clean it makes you wonder with that many traps and flies buzzing around, fix the fly problem and I will be back read more

Great food with relatively quick service. They have places to sit down and it's mostly take out being tied in with a gas station. Big menu with many options I've never seen before. I had the lamb biryani and a mango lassi. I never thought some of the best Indian food I have had would be from a gas station l. Will definitely stop again on my travels through route 70. read more

This is my second time at this place. The people are always so nice. And while we were waiting for our food she brought us some Jalebi for free to try while we waited without us even asking. It is soooo much food. I recommend that whatever you're going to order, you only order half. Everything on the menu is enough to feed two or more people. Great Dhaba food!!!! It's worth the road trip if living in Indy... not just for novelty or those from India a harken back to Indian truck stops. Their fresh made Jalebi is out of this world. And food is delicious. A friend who knows this food said supposedly the rice is also like that found in Dhaba and not basmati... meaning they have tried to make it all authentic. read more

I was driving to the east coast, with my family, and we'd skipped dinner earlier. As the am hours started adding up we were starving. I took an exit that signs showed fast food options but all were closed (3:30 am). I happened to pull over at this truck stop for a bathroom break, and noticed it mentioned Indian food (which I am a huge fan of...especially curry). I asked the person at the counter if they were still serving food and he said yes, went in the back to alert the staff and I placed my order. I had no expectations other than having some form of sustenance. I ordered 2 types of Naan and a lamb curry...they were SO good! the lamb was cooked nicely, succulent and tender and the curry was delish. The naan as well. Yes, we ate Indian food in a truck stop. We liked it! Our son has been here many times to eat and he wanted us to go out with him for his birthday so we went and the place is not much to look at as it is part of a truck stop and it seems a little rundown. My husband had the chicken biryani and the goat korma. I ordered the aloo gobi and we ordered a variety of naan. I do not remember everything the kid ordered but everything came out hot and fresh to the table and they double checked our check to make sure that we received everything. We did eat in the truck stop we did not carry it out. While we were in there, there were a lot of truck drivers of Indian descent stopping to order meals to go, so that seemed to be a good signal to me that the food would be good. We had a very good meal and would certainly entertain stopping there again. For dessert we ordered the galub jumun and it was delish! read more
