His team came out and - wow! - they set up scaffolding, covered our grill and outdoor furniture (to protect from mortar dust), ground out the old mortar, meticulously re-mortared the top section (yes, I climbed up to inspect closely), re-sealed the flu and cleaned up all in one day. The finished product looks great and, most important, no more backdraft! We couldn't be happier with the quality and pricing. Great job!!!

I recently moved into a flip and, to both of our surprise, discovered feet of concrete and bricks stuffed in the middle of my chimney -- meaning my hot water heater and gas line weren't venting properly. Oscar and his team quite literally saved my life. When you buy a new home, you never know what surprises are waiting behind the walls. Oscar went above and beyond to make sure I was safe, that the job was done correctly, and that they'd leave with absolutely no trace they were ever there. Mid-project, they had to open a wall, and not only did they patch the drywall, but they painted it, too -- you'd never know it was touched. He took the time to explain everything in detail so I could actually understand the process, documented every step, and made me feel like a true partner in the project. One thing he said that really stuck with me was: "I know you own the house, but it's our fireplace now." That level of care and pride in his work says it all. Oscar is the definition of integrity, skill, and kindness. If you're lucky enough to get on his schedule, you're in the best hands possible. I can't recommend him highly enough.

He is one of the nicest, most genuine people you could ever work with. He really went out of his way to make sure we were happy and comfortable throughout the whole process. His Forman Frankie and the entire crew were just as amazing--hardworking, respectful, and unbelievably skilled. Even when we had hiccups (which had nothing to do with their work), Marty and his team worked around our schedule without a single complaint. They delivered everything they promised and so much more. The finished project came out better than we ever dreamed, and I can honestly say we couldn't be happier. It's rare these days to find a company that cares this much about their customers, but Marty and his team truly do. We will 100% use MJD Construction again for future projects. If you're thinking of hiring someone, stop looking--this is the company you want. HIGHLY recommend!

There is no better compliment to a Craftsman than repeat business and referrals. I start here…read morebecause we recently brought MJD back in for our second job. We met Marty by a referral when looking to update the front of our home. Our original pavers were 40+ years old. We loved the unique shape and style but needed a refresh. From start to finish, Marty was punctual, communicated well, delivered beautiful stone work and offered very competitive pricing. We used a combination of bluestone, cobblestone, culturestone and Cambridge cobalt pavers. MJD nailed the half moon shape and retained the look we adored and even added a planters box to highlight tree we have out front. We loved it so much, fast forward one year later we brought back MJD for our back patio. Work included steppingstones, full "figure 8" pool coping and pavers including plumbing (which MJD coordinated), columns to our bar, and a planters box. MJD also took down two trees, graded and seeded to get us ready for next year. The results speak for them themselves. In short, give Marty a call, he does it all! Best, Myles

Everyone one we spoke to on the phone seemed too "busy" for our business or didn't think we were "real". Until we meet Gary Z from Ambassador Home and Improvement. Not only did Gary come to our house a day after we called his office. He actually completed 2 houses on our block where we could see first hand how amazing him and his companies work actually is. As any couple would do, we had a few other contractors entertain us with their offers and services but didn't feel the way we did when we met with Gary. Gary had set up an appointment for us to meet his team, we were not committed to Ambassador at this point. This appointment, in my eyes, was another way to try to close us. But Gary didn't even talk about the project, it was more of a comfort level check and I 100% appreciated this. A project of this size, the amount of money behind it. It's not something easy. He allowed us ask any questions and emailed us all responses, we had A LOT OF QUESTIONS, but he was able to answer it all. On December of 2021, We were down 2 contractors, Gary's company and the other (wont mention their name). We went to see Gary, meet the team again, mostly all family, which I thought was amazing. After our 6th meeting we finally committed to using Gary and Ambassador Home and Improvement. He then introduce us to Lou T, our architect, another amazing guy in this whole process he was pretty much side by side with us the whole time CAN NOT THANK LOU T. enough for all his efforts and hard work! Doug F. our project manager, Doug was with us the whole ride. Step by step, piece by piece, tile by tile. He would constantly text us with updates or when items would arrive. He even went out of his way several times to meet delivery people at our front door if we weren't available. Great guy, after 6 months of being in our house. We still stay in contact. He answers a lot of my dumb questions. Thanks Doug. Kudos to you. All is all, I rarely write out reviews. But the work and the customer service that Ambassador, Gary, Doug and Lou provide myself and my family was world class and wanted to share this with the public. I have recommended them to all my friends and family and will always do so in the future. If you're looking for any work to be done. Contact Gary at Ambassador Home Improvement. Thank you.

I remember Sal coming over and recommending a landscape designer to see what was possible, this delayed the process but it was absolutely the right call. They were in the middle for pricing but sals local knowledge and no nonsense attitude were key factors for me. I got stacci confirmed and sal and his team got to work. The staff is top notch and did an amazing job, not just for the main driveway expansion job, but also with reconfiguring my steps (towards the top) to be wider and more welcoming (which I didn't even have specs for!). Sal is full of good ideas and executes beyond expectations, he has a critical eye and will have his guys redo it if he doesn't like it. I highly recommend Stasi and can see why others do as well. I called and spoke to Erin and Kelly about the issue and they sent Sal to look at the crack. To my surprise all the nice things I said about Sal went out the window when he rudely said 'cant do anything, let me me know when it gets bigger'. Everything I googled on cracks in Cement state "if it's a headline crack it can be fixed easily and Not to wait till it gets larger" ...more or larger cracks are more difficult to repair" and more costly. I know that this was not the Sal I knew. He sounded more like his uncle Joe, arrogant and disrespectful. In the mean time Joe, do the right thing and let YOUR workers come and seal the crack. This is your fault. I told Sal when they poured the cement that the root of the tree needed to be cut out but you and your men said it didn't matter. I only redid the block of cement because they were lifting a little. The old cement was there for 30 years and had NO cracks. Just a little lift at seam. You are a business you need to take care of your customers. Btw sand that was put between nicklock pavers is still missing and you charged me over 11,000 for the work that has overspilled cement on pavers. I didn't even complain about that last October. If you want me to update this review I recommend that Joe tells Sal to fix this issue.
