Review is only based on he raspados (shaved ice) . Had a couple different ones and they were the best I have had.. of course compared to people in carts on the street. Since I don't know any other location that sells shaved ice like this place. Location is not the best. Poor air conditioning, small, gets crowded. And why would the put a TV inside is beyond me. Why because people sit inside waiting for longer periods eating their raspado and over crowd the small location. They should have invested in more sitting/tables than a TV. To add to injury the TV volume is turned so hi you have to shout at the person at the register to order (part is the crowd inside talking over the TV). read more

I called this location like 5 times and the call couldn't go through, I finally got through to someone and right off the bat the guy sounded like he did NOT want to be there, I was in the middle of placing my order when the call disconnected AGAIN! I called back and I let the gentleman know "hi, sorry I had just called and the call dropped in the middle of my order" with the most annoying unapologetic tone the guy simply said, "ok well what size?" If you didn't feel like working buddy you should have kept yourself at home, so rude! Called the Sun Valley location, completely different customer services, going forward even if I have to drive a little further I much rather go to the sun valley location. I give it one star because although the raspados and foodie are delicious, I just got a charge on my debit card for a ten dollar purchase yesterday 1-17-17, but once my bank looked it up, informed me that it was from November 2016. The only problem is: is that I have not been to this location in over nine months since I do not live in the area. Crazy! Debit card users beware!!! This place is pretty popular, I'm surprised there's not a lot of reviews. When I went today, it was so crowded! The wait was quite long but it's okay because their raspados are the best! Here are the best mixes: 1) Chamango (just ask for mild on the spice) 2) Strawberry & Mango 3) Strawberry, Mango & Pineapple Well, anything with Fresca (strawberry) is BOMB to me! The Chamango (mango puree & chamoy, which is I think a spicy apricot or plum paste?) is an acquired taste, but still really refreshing. I most specially love strawberry & mango with a LOT of condensed milk! The esquitos (?), which is corn with butter, chili and cheese, is not bad either. It's a great snack to pair with the raspados! I also like their bionicos, the fruits are fresh and sweet. The crema in the bionico is sweet and has a good consistency to it. Not thick nor watered down. I'm not really a fan of dried shredded coconut, so I ask them to put very little, and more granolas. Overall, this place is worth the try when you're in the area. It's a great place for a small snack and a refreshing drink! read more

Solid place to get a raspado on a hot day in the San Fernando Valley. I opt for the coconut and strawberry. Real fruit. Don't forget the lechera! It's sticky and messy, but tastes oh-so-good! They also sell crepes! Parking is usually pretty easy to find. read more

Went in today and was asked for my order, the lady at the register walked away and said nothing. Then the lady came back and took the register out to start counting the money with another lady there while there line grew. Neither lady said excused themselves, instead continued to count money. They also took out cash from underneath the register that was in a bag and plastic container. They counted the money as everyone just waited. The lady came back and I thought my order was going to be taken but nope, she walked away again. I walked out because of the lack of customer service. I love these raspados specially the spicy Chamoyada with the tamarindo candy it's soooo bomb. But the only thing is they need to hire more workers. Sometimes when I go there's legit only one worker and she's trynna make raspados cook some crapes take the line of customers and I bet it's a pain in the ass not only for her but for the customers that have to wait. The drinks and desserts here are fantastic. My favorite is the Besa Fresa. It's basically a strawberry and lime smoothie with spicy seasoning. I love it! The team members are all friendly, most are bi-lingual and will give you samples of the some of the desserts if you don't know what they are. I have one word to describe the dessert here: BOLD. The drinks were large with strong bold taste, just the way I like it. I got the pineapple strawberry and it lasted me throughout my whole drive back to norcal-- though I do babysit my drinks. The area that this shop is located is a bit shady and I felt extra cautious while walking from my car to the store that late evening. The cashiers were nice enough and even allowed me to use their restroom inside of the kitchen. Some drink places are more rigid with their bathroom policy if they don't already have a customer restroom built so brownie points to them! Visited RaspadoXpress for the first time tonight. Place was empty. Was speaking English and the cashier was speaking Spanish...I asked if she spoke English and she said no and if there was a problem? Continue with placing two orders...BAD idea...we should have left and gone somewhere else. Our drinks tasted nasty and I got a stomachache from it. We didn't finish them that's how BAD they were. I will never go back there again. That person has no idea on how to treat customers and doesn't care about her negative service. I watched the video of how RaspadoXpress came to be. Worst place for raspados. You get chunks of ice instead of slush for the raspados. Their mangoneada is pure chamoy, so nothing but syrup. The mangos that are placed on top are not even ripe. Not worth the money. I honestly wish I can give this place a 0 star. read more
