Usually I don't do reviews, but if I'm here it's because I've been extremely disappointed. Whoever owns this place has the most unhelpful staff I've come across in a long time. I came in for a chamoy apple an hour before closing, I called and asked for a manzana loca. They said that they had it. So when I came in I assumed they could prepare my apple with chamoy and ect. Apparently they don't do that there, so fyi don't go here if you want that. I was okay with just walking away with a regular apple, but the guy helping me didn't even bother to be a pleasant energy. The least he could have done was be helpful, respectful, or apologetic. Even maybe just offer to cut it. He looked like he hated his life, and I get it that he probably had a long day, or maybe he's too out of shape to keep up. I've been there and done fast food, and I'm okay with people not wanting anything to do with me. But to just simply fuck me off like that, was crazy work. There was an older lady working and helping other customers, and he had me ask about the Apple. Instead of trying to solve the problem himself! That lady deserves a better team, and this place deserves better service. I'm always disappointed when my people let me down for no good reason. I stopped by this La Michoacana location to get some nachos. This location is close to where I live but there another one that's closer to me. I found parking easily in the plaza this store is in. When I came, they were a little busy but not so bad. I got the large nachos with for extra cheese and jalapenos. The price was the same as other location and they don't charge a credit card fee here. They took a while to make my nachos, the saw I think the owner kids making their own nachos with the chip bags. I asked for extra cheese and jalapenos in my nachos which they said was fine. When it was ready, I saw they didn't put a lot of jalapenos but they did put a lot of cheese. They also don't have to go container for the nachos either, so they just put another plate on top of it. The nachos were delicious especially with the extra cheese. The customer service was fine for me but just slow. read more

I enjoyed this place is a Mexican style ice cream parlor. It has popsicles, Agua Fresca, elotes and so much more. They offer a huge variety of food items and the price was great! The inside is very colorful and sitting is available. I had a cucumber lime Agua Fresca and it was so yummy! Definitely stop by if you are in the area. ***BEWARE*** We ordered several items from this location including paletas and fresas con crema! My son was eating his chicle paleta when he complained it had a bad bitter taste & then he complained about having a tingling/ numb feeling in his mouth. My husband and myself tried it for ourselves and experienced the same thing. The ice cream was extremely bitter & gave off a chemical taste almost like nail polish remover . Immediately threw it in the trash and Called the store to advise them and all they said was sorry. The strawberries in the fresas con crema were almost rancid! Sad that they give customers poor quality items but charge high prices..extremely disappointed in this location as it used to be our go to. They will no longer be getting our business. After ordering mini pancakes she goes "do you still want the pancakes because the batter is watery? Or do you want crepes?" We got the crepe, which was terrible. Advertisement said it came with powdered sugar and whipped cream which it did not. It was very bland and tough. They still made the pancakes and gave it to us which was terrible as well, very flat and flavorless, good thing they gave it to us for free because I would not pay for that. Out of all of their locations, this one probably has the worst customer service. My visit here consisted of fairly slow service due to the fact that the person attending us preferred talking to and impressing their coworkers. At one point they called them over to show them how they scooped the ice cream - it was very awkward and uncomfortable for me and my colleagues. Out of the five or six of the employees behind the counter only two of them were assisting people, the others were chatting - which seemed odd and inefficient (compared to how quickly and smoothly the service is at other locations). One of the employees seems a little out of it, does their job, but doesn't seem enthusiastic or attempt to be friendly. Another, pretty proactive and sociable. When I got my 2scoops, the employee put them in the smallest styrofoam bowl, covering one flavor with another. So enjoying takes a little time and gets messy as this ice cream stays pretty stuck together aside from little melt away from the edges. Not a big deal. So because I'm lactose intolerant I can't enjoy everybody's ice cream but there is something about this place and certain flavors they make that I can enjoy. For example the fruit flavored ice cream like lime, pineapple and mango almost taste like sorbet. Delicious, fresh and still creamy but it doesn't seem like they use milk. They have a lot of Mexican style ice cream made with Tahin (seasoning salt) and the tamarind candies etc. (I don't have a lot of knowledge in this area of food so I won't elaborate. Lol) They sell more than ice cream here, I believe I took a pic of their menu posted on the wall. When you walk in, it smells like Elote (Mexican corn) which is delicious if you like that sort of thing. I love the smell. The place is super clean and they have places for you to sit inside or you can take it to go. It was a long line the day I went but the staff was pleasant and helpful. I've been a few time and I'm going back. My one complaint would be that the spoons in the cup on the counters were dirty - maybe they should put them in another area or buy plastic covered spoons. read more

The ice cream flavors are delicious. No complaints. The formula is kept consistent (an outside ice cream maker stops every evening to prepare the recipe). Here is my DISAPPOINTMENT. Every Michioacana has a different way of preparing their other menu offerings. The Milkshake was done poorly. It's too fluid and liquid. Can't taste the richness of the ice cream. Also, their basic fruit salad ($6) is not well prepared. You are better off buying at the fruit stand in front of Vallarta. I'll be back, but skipping buying the Milkshake until their employees get better training how to prepare it. Don't forget to ask for a rewards card. read more

I always get the helado flotante and they just make it so perfect with the right amount of chamoy :) I recommend the esquite with extra lime and also the aguas frescas. So as I was getting closer I kept seeing the workers more even the male yes they did have gloves on but even with gloves on they would pick up items off the floor. That's gross your contaminating. As he was serving fresh drinks he would spill and leave it as it is on floor and counter. He got closer to serving corn he literally see all the juice falling into the floor nor the bottles of mayo. Omg and all with the same gloves. Idk if they know the concept of wearing gloves. Another employee was sick and sneezing with her gloves on She told a customer in front of me sorry , I had called out but they made me come in . Like really .
