Update on 6/4: There was another Venmo conflict but Tim has acknowledged the communication breakdowns and apologized for his initial response. I'm amending this review to 3 stars to reflect this accountability. He is certainly a capable specialist and does do good quality work. Going forward I hope he will be as proactive and diligent as he was in the responses tonight. I have attached screenshots to show the new change. The screenshots will speak for itself. I made this update same day late afternoon. This should had been the end of this particular review: short and concise. Then mere hours after posting this update a second stream of Venmo rants began in rapid succession at 10:30 PM. This time he finally remembered me as a client when this was not so in his original statement. He sneakily revised his original rebuttal to saying he remembers me but still attempted to defame me a 2ND time. I did check this page after dinner around 8-9pm. At the time it was still the original derogatory and dismissive comment. By the time I came back to update the second Venmo rant, the comment thread had grown from the original 13 posts to the even more aggressive 87 messages. Tim. I paid you close to 5k for all the jobs done, tipped you for the work (which you acknowledged and was not part of the 5k I already counted for. +tip that would inflate the actually payment to 5.5k before Venmo because I tipped you twice for two separate jobs), got you lunch & dinner, and paid all the jobs done UPFRONT. And the $500 Venmo advance payment towards that future job for your tough time was apparently worth nothing judging by your Venmo posts. I can't say any other professionals I hired ever got this level of consideration. I did everything I could as a good client, but you were the one who chose not to act until Yelp gave you trouble. I made multiple attempts to work with you on scheduling but you did nothing. So I exercised my right as a client to post this factual, genuine review about your business practices. In response, you feigned ignorance, called me fake, and tried to ruin my credibility not just once, but twice. Then you escalated to threats and insults against me and my family members in the Venmo thread, with two separate outbursts (one in the morning and one at night). Absolutely fantastic service! Our 4 story house was infested with mice, from the basement all the way to the attic. We got quotes for three different providers and settled on Rat Proof. From the very first contact, Tim was professional, friendly and clearly knowledgeable. He conducted a thorough inspection of the interior and exterior of the house, explained the mouse proofing process in detail, and provided us with a written plan that specified each step he would take to remediate the problem. This plan detailed how many times he would come onsite to work, the period of time it would take for him to remediate the problem (it took weeks and many many visits), and, most importantly, what actions he expected us to take in order to head off future infestations. Tim located and sealed every entry point into the house and made sure that the traps were strategically placed. He removed and eliminated mouse droppings around food packages, in drawers or under cabinets, cupboards, and under the sink. He located nesting material such as shredded paper and fabric, and signs of chewing on food packaging. Most importantly, Tim disinfected every surface with the appropriate disinfectant or bleach and steam cleaned or shampooed upholstered furniture and carpets with evidence of rodent exposure. After trying several different providers and getting some outrageous quotes for a lot of unnecessary work, we found Tim and he was amazing. This review is long overdue but I wanted to make sure that our problem was indeed solved. Tim knows his stuff and his methods are right on. He is also extremely thorough in his work and was able to patch up certain areas the previous provider missed. I have had a rat problem under my patio which is causing the patio to sink. I tried so many different ways to get them out by myself and then I tried many different exterminators for help but no one seemed to be able to give me a solution UNTIL I contacted Tim. Our Complex used Tim Vialli 2 years ago with rodent infestation involving multiple units. 2 years later, rodents returned to our Complex. Highly recommend working with Tim for any rodent issues! He is honest, hard working, and knowledgable. Before I worked with Tim, I contacted a national rodent service after I heard rodent movement in my walls. That company provided a very basic inspection and couldn't find anything. After that inspection, I heard more movement and even noticed a hole in my kitchen wall. That's when I reached out to Tim. He did a thorough inspection and noticed a small infestation. He put together a proposal that was fairly priced. After I accepted his proposal, he disinfected and cleaned my entire kitchen, sealed all holes, and placed mouse traps throughout my basement. His goal was to keep the mice away from my kitchen and only in the basement where all the traps are located. After two week, we caught 2 mice! He immediately came and helped me dispose of the trap. On Christmas Day, we found a dead rat inside my house. We panicked. I contacted Tim who was heavily booked about our problem. Tim told me that he was very busy, but would fit us in. He came and did a thorough inspection for free. He picked up the dead rat and placed it in his vehicle. He showed us how the rats were coming into my house. The foundation of my home had rat feces. The rats were also camping under my deck. Underneath my deck was full of rat feces. The next day, Tim went to work. He thoroughly cleaned up and disinfected all the areas. He used sheet metal to prevent that rats from entering my property. He protected my deck with metal fencing. His pricing is fair and reasonable. His service is exceptional. After discovering we had mice who had been very comfortably living in our downstairs storage room / garage, I immediately went on Yelp to find an expert. The first company I called seemed well established, but I found that I wasn't able to get many answers out of the operator whose sole job was to schedule the inspection. I kept searching and came across Rat Proof. The profile immediately made me feel like this was a trustworthy professional, and when I spoke to Tim over the phone, I was reassured that Tim was going to be my guy. Tim did not hesitate to ask me questions about my mouse problem and was quick to share his knowledge/ insight. When he came to do the inspection, he was punctual, professional and friendly. He came up with a plan right away, which included cleaning out, sanitizing and organizing all the junk in my storage room. I'm ashamed to admit it, but my storage room looked like it could have been in an episode of hoarders. But Tim came back the next day and within a matter of hours, single handedly organized and cleaned everything in that room, all by himself. I let him make the call on whatever he thought had to go into the dumpster pile, and he was incredibly thorough and thoughtful, asking me about certain items before tossing them out (because I had stored many of my kids toys/gear/clothes in that room). He even found someone who came and hauled away all that mountain of junk the very next day! I would have totally understood if Tim had told me I needed to clear that room out before he could do his job, but he happily did it as part of HIS job. I doubt there are many other pest control professionals who would roll up their sleeves and do this kind of work! Once the room was cleared, Tim set traps and helped mouse proof holes he found around the garage and the room. The traps and proofing were effective in catching the mice, and Tim was always ready to come over to dispose of the mice and reset the traps as soon as I called. I am happy to report that my storage room is the cleanest it's been in years and there have been no sign of mice for the last week! Tim is seriously the epitome of your friendly neighborhood mouse (or rat) guy - professional, trustworthy, and an all around friendly guy who feels like he's your next door neighbor who popped by to say hi while giving you a huge helping hand with your mouse problem. Excellent job, great service! Tim knows what he's doing. We live in an old Victorian with oh so many holes for the rodents to enter. Tim sealed every possible entry with metal flashing and cement. The activity in our garage stopped that night. He's since been back and double checked everywhere, adding a few layers of screen or extra barrier just to be cautious. He fit us into his busy schedule, was very communicative prior to our appointment, and arrived promptly. We woke up one morning and saw alarming evidence of rat(s) in our garage. They chewed at the bottom of 5 doors, leaving wood chips and droppings all over. We called and called to get same-day help. Most could not come in several days and one offerred to come the next day for over $1000. Tim was the only one who agreed to provide a free inspection on the same day. He arrived at 8:30PM. Before knocking on our door, he already inspected the front of the house and saw evidence of rats. After inspecting all over the garage and the backyard on his hands and knees, he told us that our house was well sealed and most likely we accidentally trapped a rat in the garage and he tried to chew his way out. He gave us tips on how to avoid having the rat die inside and stink up the house and how to facilitate his exit. What was completely unexpected was that he did not charge us. He told us that we could solve the problem ourselves with the advice he provided and he could come back to help us if the problem persisted. We followed Tim's advice and it looks like Mr. Rat indeed has left our house as Tim predicted. Tim really knows rodents!! Tim is the professional you want on your side if you need rodent exclusion work done right the first time. Before Tim started on my project we had been battling rodents in various structures around our property for almost 5 years. My general contractor and two pest specialists helped me wage war over this time to get things in order, but they resorted to poison and traps instead of doing the actual work required to truly rodent proof. Over the course of a couple if weeks, Tim carefully worked to locate and seal many points of entry and many trouble spots across 4 different, complicated structures. He also said he would honor our original contract even after he needed to do more work when he found additional issues. Even the best exclusion work can't stop rodents from finding new and interesting ways into where they want to go but it's great to have Rat Proof on my side when these inevitable issues pop up. Tim did a phenomenal job! I have been hearing noises at night in the attic and it was obvious there was some kind of a rat up there. I called a few companies but they wouldn't come over for a quote for at least 10 days. I found rat proof on Yelp and Tim was able to come and take a look the same evening. Last Thursday we had very unwelcoming visitors. They chewed off corner of the wall and got in which was alerted to us by our dog. We then began to call local companies to come in and found Tim. He was so kind to stop by our home on the same day although he was so busy from his previous job site and provided us with recommendations until his available to come in. Following his tips, we actually got the one that came in on our own and while we were living in fear without knowing how many actually made it in to the house, we followed his recommendation of vacuuming daily and checking for the drops. We didn't see any so we were sure that only one got in. In few days, he came and did the job very efficiently to seal the house inside and out and set traps. End result, know your enemies, we learned so much about rats and their behaviors from Tim and we caught 3! If I could give 10 stars, I would! We were horrified to find that a rat had gotten in our garage and 5 baby rats were in our kitchen. We called Tim and he came over within 15 minutes! He expertly rodent proofed our house, top to bottom. We had the house rodent proofed with we bought the house 3 years ago, though Tim found 5 entry points the last rodent proofer missed. We have a 1920's Spanish style house and Tim was very particular about the quality of the proofing that he did, where you do not even notice the proofing was done. He loves what he does and you can tell he takes immense pride in his work. A job that he should have taken him 3 hours, he spent 5 hours, and did a lot of extra work for us.
