We used this company about five years ago to remove rats from our garage and house, and the price was memorably reasonable and the results highly satisfactory as we saw and heard no signs of rats until just recently. I couldn't for the life of me remember which company I had used in the past but by some random graciousness in the universe, I found this company again and sent in an email request for service. The office staff was responsive and their company is busy right now so the appointment was a little ways out! However, she quoted me a super reasonable price and I accepted it and sort of crossed my fingers that it is the same company we were so satisfied with from the past. At the company's first visit to our house, the exact same worker showed up and cheerfully inventoried the situation, set traps, and will be back later this week. While rats are completely undesirable (ewwwww!), it is important to us that their removal not involve poisons or other methods that could put wildlife at risk or result in corpses rotting in the walls of our house. Rats to Roaches' technique, involving multiple weeks of trapping and then once the traps are clean, sealing up holes the size of a quarter or smaller and advising us about other steps we can take to reduce openings, worked very well five years ago and we're pleased to have found the same company twice. read more

These guys are amazing! We recommend them highly. We had a rat problem. The tech, John, is incredibly informative and found where the rats were entering our crawl space (foundation and garage beam). He even delayed placing traps so we could hire a company to do some minor modifications. We asked and got a recommendation that also turned out perfectly (Know Howl). Another company we recommend and would hire again in a minute. Anyway, the traps were set and after a week with no rodents we knew we were set. Super reasonable fee. We will call them without a moment's hesitation for any pest issue. We tried another company a year earlier that was expensive and did not solve our problem. Rats to Roaches is the BEST. read more

We use to rent and Jon came out to deal with our wasp and mice/rat issue. He is so nice and explain everything he was doing. We bought a house and after 3yrs I found a mouse in the house, I called Jon, he came out, he remembered me from the other house, he did a thorough check of the house and found no way of entry he did set a few traps in the garage but felt the original 4 visits for 275$ wasn't needed, and it was a no charge!! I was soo happy I called them. Hopefully i won't have to call them again. Jon is the nicest person I have ever met and the office girl (forgot her name sorry) was just as nice and helpful. Jon from rats to roaches came to help us out. We had a unknown critter in an outside wall. He was professional and courteous, always wore shoe covers in the house and explained what he was doing. He did a home inspection and checked under the house and in the attic. By the time he returned the next week to check the traps, the critter had been caught. A good sized rat (about to have a litter any day). He checked the traps weekly for two weeks to be sure the problem was solved. He also gave some ideas about future prevention. Exasperated, I hired another company who came out and identified holes and boarded the entry. Why was Jon not doing this? Complete waste of money. ANTS ERADICATED!! 2 year review. I couldn't possibly be happier with what was done here. We've had an ant problem for about 7 years. Every year they come back up the pipes and into the house. We bait and trap and spray-nothing works well enough. I had enough and decided to call local exterminators in santa rosa and was shocked at the price tag! Finally I called rats to roaches who quoted me 120 to exterminate the ants. I was skeptical but didn't have much money so I went with the lowest price and I'm so glad I did. The guy came out the next day, he was very professional, personable, trained me on how to kill my own ants And he religiously wore his bootys every time he stepped in my house. He even held my check until payday, that was really nice. He sprayed and I haven seen an ant since. GONE!!! If I ever need an exterminator again I'm calling rats to roaches like I did 2 years ago. read more

Notoriously late without a phone call; two hours plus, not just 10 minutes. It appears the company is understaffed (two field reps) for the volume of business they have. I find this frustrating that they're saving a buck but not able to effectively serve the public. It's difficult to communicate with the field rep as he talks so much and so quickly. I just had Jon from Rats to Roaches out to my home to take care of a wasps nest in my attic/roof area. He was so nice and professional! He has a lot of knowledge about his field and was very efficient. The whole appointment took about 30 minutes and the wasps are gone! He ended up needing to work from inside the attic and was courteous enough to wear shoe covers anytime he walked through the house. I chose RtoR based on the other yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. Jon was thorough, professional and courteous. We were having rat troubles and he gave the exterior a good inspection. He found two places of ingress and told us how to seal them up. I elected to do my own trapping and he was fine with that, did not try to talk me into services I did not want. They were awesome! We were having a rodent problem, but I wanted a pest control company that was eco-friendly. Rats to Roaches was listed online as a sustainable pest contol operator in Sonoma County, so I gave them a call. Our pest control guy, John, was really courteous and knowledgeable. He always called before he showed up, to let us know he was on his way, and wore booties inside our house. I loved that they don't use rodenticides just willy nilly. A week before I was due to move into my new condo, I discovered a yellow-jacket swarm outside the front door! Concerned, especially for the movers, I called and spoke Jennifer (at the HOA/property management company's recommendation). She told me someone would be able to come out on Friday. John showed up in the time window given and was great. Firstly, he was so knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He gave us excellent and interesting information about yellow-jackets, answered all our questions, explained everything he'd be doing, and was confident all would be well by the following day for my move (if not, he told us he'd come back out, no problem). He was right! The next day, the wasps were totally gone. John was just so nice - he even expressed compassion for the pests he was dealing with, which was awfully impressive. He also was very helpful in noting in detail where the yellow-jackets were located on his invoice to help me with getting reimbursement from my HOA. I had a bad experience with this company. I scheduled a Saturday appointment but had to reschedule that morning due to an urgent conflict. I called early Saturday morning but no one was in the office. I left a message, but I imagined no one would get it until Monday. Jon called on his way to my house, and I was then able to tell him that I couldn't make the appointment. He was very kind and said he even appreciated the cancellation because he said he had another emergency to address. He said the office would call me back Monday to reschedule. When no one called on Monday, I called them on Tuesday. I spoke with Jamie who complained that I had cancelled without 24 hours notice. I told her I was unaware that 24 hours notice was required (this was the first I had heard about it at all) and that Jon had been grateful for the cancellation regardless. She said they had no appointments for the next couple of days, so I said I would call back after returning from an imminent trip. Jamie overall was unfriendly and even rude, completely unlike Jon. Then, when I called back after my trip, the gentleman that answered said there was a "no-service" policy attached to my address. The fact that I had cancelled without 24 hours notice (even though I was both unaware of the policy and had an emergency) was cited. Goodness. I would highly encourage Rats to Roaches to let your customers know that you have a 24 hour cancellation policy that includes emergencies in the future. Regardless, there are other companies out there whose employees communicate much better and who actually want business. read more
