Edited to provide more information. Two visits (spray outside and bait traps inside) reduced but did not completely resolve my Odorous Ant problem. They returned a couple of weeks after 2nd visit. Also, during last visit, technician placed a small amount of unsheilded left-over bait on a corner of my kitchen window sill (I have pets that might access). I resolved the ant problem myself (at least for now) by purchasing and placing another commercial product's bait traps around the outside perimeter of my house. read more

Nature Science Pest Control rocks! We've only ever had to use their service for odorous house ants, which apparently are very common (and overpopulated?) in our area. We're on a semi-annual plan. They visited recently and sprayed around the perimeter of our house, and used some localized treatment in a tree where they saw ants. We appreciate their eco/friendly and pet-safe practices (we let the spray dry and then our yard is safe for our dogs again). Also appreciate their responsiveness in setting up the visit by text, and then texting again when the tech is on the way to us. This company is extraordinary. The owner, Jerrod, is hands on and all the staff is amazing, both office and field. We had a very positive experience with them in 2018 and have gone on to find ourselves with different pests, such as carpenter ants. Tom from Nature Science came by our home for an inspection as we've been hearing what appeared to be rodent sounds in the walls. After doing a serious 'crawl' under our house and in the attic, he showed us that the problem was not actually in the house but on the outside, where the rats are scampering along some wiring. Tom gave us guidance on how we need to clear away earth and brush from the exterior (let alone moving the bird feeder far away!) Truly great service. I shopped around for several Pest Control companies here in Central Marin(Larkspur), and these guys are the best. They wound up being one of the most well-priced, they have great service, and the techs are super friendly, personable, and the product itself is super effective, while also being pet and kid-friendly. Our house is surrounded by trees, so spiders are a problem--I don't mind the spiders themselves, but the webs drive me nuts! I finally caved in after having a recurring ant problem and admitted I needed a professional to help. They responded quickly and I was able to make an appointment within the week to have them drop by. Arvin was friendly and I especially liked that they had an option for an ongoing service of twice a year. He didn't try and pressure me into a more frequent service, which I very much appreciate. We had a great experience with Nature Science Pest Control last week. They came out to help us with some yellowjackets building a nest in the eave of our house. I liked how they followed up with service for one area of my yard for treatment of a type of outdoor cockroach that I've never heard of before. We are currently using them to get rid of our flea issue in our downtown property. They've made one visit but it hasn't really helped so they are making a second visit this week. Unfortunately they only guarantee their work for 30 days which is dicey at best for $250. I don't mind paying as long as they can rid my home of fleas. read more

We initally found mice feces in our cars which promted us to call an exterminator. I did catch one mouse using a tomcat mouse trap. I first contacted another pest control company and they did NOT do a complete inspection and wanted to do exclusion and no trapping. They told us we had mouse feces, and moisture in our crawl space and needed a moisture blanket in the crawl space and wanted over $1000!! We should have had them take pictures to show us!... We were shocked at what they wanted to charge us and decided to call a different pest firm, one that my neighbor was using. We then called NatureScience and they did a very thorough inspection and said we had a very dry crawl space and no signs if infestation of mice or rats in the crawl space, or in our attic and no need for a moisture barrier. They said the problem was in our garage as they found spacing under our side door and around the garage door. In order to stop the mice from entering our garage we needed a new threshold for the door and concrete was used to close several gaps on either side of the garage door. They recommended we set traps for several days to ensure we caught all the mice before doing the exclusion work. They also told us they do NOT use harmful products, if needed as we have a cat! The work was done and we were only charged $250 for the exclusion and we were not charged for trapping as we used our own traps. They are also doing other work in the area and will keep tabs with us to ensure their work. We are completely satisfied with the job they did! read more

I appreciated the company being able to spray eco-friendly inside (we have a dog and we're humans!) and the stronger stuff outside. So far so good! We knew there had been a past rodent problem in our crawl space and I wanted to set up ongoing surveillance to make sure it didn't arise again. Just before Thanksgiving, Matt came to take a look and give us an estimate. He was very knowledgeable and was not at all pushy. For the insect spraying he shared exactly what products he would use (we only wanted botanical sprays). We ended up signing up for the rodent and insect ongoing service. He sprayed, laid traps, and later came back to seal the likely entry point. The day after Christmas, I noticed that the traps had caught two rodents-- I called and Matt came the very next day to remove them. Additionally the number of spiders we find in the house has significantly decreased, probably by 90+%. Like Matt, the office staff is also super friendly and responsive. I had dropped by to make an inquiry about service, the receptionist was real patient in answering my questions about Paper Wasp, Rodents, and their all natural process. I love these guys. 1. Super responsive. They came out diligently until problem was resolved. 2. Super good at communicating. They regularly updated me on status and visits. 3. Super ethical. Rather than selling me all sorts of remediation services for our rodent problem, they provided me exactly what I needed: trapping of rodents; sealing the points of entry; and providing me information on how to sanitize the area so that they won't come in again. This place use to be good. They jacked up their rates from $250 to $900 in one year. Things have gone up but not three-fold. Ridiculous. To top it off they made me wait a week with fleas biting me to tell me this rate even after I asked them on phone when making the appointment. Highway robbery. read more
