Lanson is awesome! The first time he came out was to treat for spiders and ants. He was clearly very knowledgeable about his work. He doesn't try to push any extra services on you or try to get you to sign up for regular services (when we only need them seasonally). We then discovered a rodent issue in our backyard about a month later and he brought traps free of charge! We recently started getting ants coming back with a vengeance and he was able to come within days! With companies I have used in the past it usually took weeks if not more. WOW. We were facing an unusual influx of cockroaches and reached out to see if Wildt Pest Control could help. Lanson responded in *minutes*, educated us via text on the type of roaches (thankfully an outdoor species that was just making its way in after such heavy seasonal rains), and was out first thing the next day to treat them. Not only did he eradicate our pest issue (taking care of the spiders at the same time!), he was a fount of informative knowledge about the various types of pests, how and why we were seeing more than usual, and a delight to chat with, as well. When you find a vendor you wish was also a neighbor, you know you've got a keeper. First off, I did not use Wildt Pest Control. But that's why I'm writing my review. I messaged the owner Randall on a Sunday after hearing something knocking on the roof above my head at 7am and then again on the roof above my bathroom later in the day. He was very responsive. Unfortunately he couldn't get out until Wednesday. No worries, I'd make the appointment and then call around. The other companies could only come a day sooner but the quotes they gave were $$$$. Wednesday cane and Larson texted me in advance of coming by. He was very thorough- walked all along the house identifying potential points of entry. He climbed into our attic and searched for signs of intrusion. I had to jump on a conference call so he grabbed my husband, showed him the same spots, recommended we spend $15 on mesh wire and then left on his way. He could have made something up or tried to quote some services we didn't need. But he was a nice sweet honest person. If I hear things again, I will definitely call them again. read more

I cannot recommend Lanson and Wildt Pest Control highly enough! I purchased a 122 year old craftsman in Downtown Santa Rosa a couple of years ago and one of the things that turned up in the home inspection was that rodents had been an issue in the past and that the previous owner had done little to nothing to correct the issue. Sure enough, to my horror within 5-months of moving in, a rat found its way into the laundry room! I had 4 pest control companies out to assess the issue and provide estimates. All 4 estimates were in the same ballpark and while Lanson's was the most competitive, what set him apart by a mile was his thoroughness, attention to detail and customer service. Out of the 4 companies that came out, he was the only one to climb under the house and into the attic to inspect the house wall-to-wall. It was clear that his dedication to his craft was above and beyond his competitors, making the choice to go with him obvious. Our ants are GONE! Lanson and Wildt Pest Control have helped us reclaim our time and regain a piece of our sanity with just one visit. We had a serious ant problem. I tried those terro liquid ant baits. They brought out hundreds (thousands?) or ants. After going through an entire box of baits (and another box or generic liquid baits), our ants were not going away. It was disgusting, and it was taking time out of every day to try to fix the problem. Then came Lanson. I called, and I told him the problem. He gave me so much information about ants and "creepy crawlies" and told me all about his processes and pricing. Everything he said was helpful and true. He showed up to the appointment on time. He set out more powerful baits and applied some botanical insect repellent along the outside/entrypoints of our home. And those long, seemingly endless trails of ants are GONE! We have a few stragglers, but it seems they are taking that gel back to the colony and/or not coming in because of the repellent. Definitely would recommend to anyone and everyone! read more

This is one of those reviews where I wish I could leave 6 stars. A few months ago, my wife and I began to hear some noises in our attic that sounded like an animal. We called Wildt earlier this week to come take a look, and they were able to schedule some time for an inspection very promptly. Upon arriving, Randall was very courteous and professional, and used disposable boot covers before entering our home. He performed an inspection of the attic, determined there were rat droppings, and then examined the exterior of the house for possible entry points. Once he completed the walk around, he spent the time to talk me through all the different aspects of the problem and how to handle it. All in all, he probably spent the better part of an hour at our home, and didn't charge us anything since it was all considered part of the free inspection. Lanson is the best! He has come out to my house twice now for ants. The first time, the ants were all over the kitchen and he sprayed the whole outside of the house. The ants disappeared very quickly after that. This last time, I had found them in a new location (in a closet?!) and he came out and sprayed the inside of the house. He was very professional and described how the ants are most likely getting in and told me two ways to fix the issue. During his first visit, he had answered all of my roommate's questions on products to use and ways to do pest control on our own. I contacted Wildt Pest Control based on the reviews and wasn't disappointed. Landon responded quickly and came out the next day. We had a pretty bad ant infestation where they had trails going into our crawl space. We couldn't even open any of our windows or sliding doors because they would come in through the screens. Landon was very thorough, friendly and knowledgeable and explained everything. Since the pest control application just happened today I can't yet say whether the problem is completely resolved but Landon gave us a 30 day guarantee. We live in what is considered a rural area of Sonoma County and I assumed bugs would just be our new way of life since moving seven months ago. Flash forward to Monday and I found my third spider in my coffee and reached my breaking point. We were looking for a local company with an owner who was involved in their business. Lancon, the owner, was professional and very quick to respond. We discussed pricing and he gave me an array of dates and times week of that he could come out. The pricing was very fair and he came the following morning to treat for pests. We have an infant and two dogs and he was able to use the appropriate spray. He took his time removing webs, spraying, asked appropriate questions and answered all my questions. We reached out to several local companies and felt we were getting the run around or disregarded by everyone else we reached out to. I inquired about monthly service but Lancon recommended bi-monthly. I really appreciate a business that isn't just after your money and instead makes knowledgeable suggestions. I bought a couch second hand and started to find little bugs around my house. With two small children I immediately panicked but on a Sunday there was no one to call. Being one of the few open places I called and left a voicemail. I was called back in only a few minutes. I explained that I couldn't describe the bugs as they were too tiny and that I was panicking with a baby in the house with unidentified bugs. The man on the phone was SO SO KIND.
