These guys are great! First of all, I got an immediate response from Jim who was able to squeeze me in for an appt the same week, a free estimate. And then when the technician, Tom came he had me walk him around the property and showed me what to look for, ways critters could get into vents etc, and so I learned a bit. Don't bother calling this place for an estimate: they just might come out, inspect your space, and then vanish, never to be heard from again. Maybe because they don't care enough about your project or you to even give you an estimate? I had them come out and inspect my place, which really needs cleanup and rodent proofing service. They NEVER FOLLOWED UP WITH EVEN AN ESTIMATE. I politely called them FOUR TIMES in the following month to get a quote, just asking them what was up. They couldn't even be bothered to return my phone calls. Maybe they thought my project was a waste of their time. But taking time out of work to meet them at my house was a waste of mine, apparently. I had my new house inspected by a competitor and they concluded that there might be a rodent infestation, but there isn't "conclusive evidence" (paid for by the seller). I noticed that the competitor never even opened the attic door and when I lifted up the crawlspace door there was fresh poo and the HVAC was chewed through. I'm not sure how there could be any doubt. Clean and Green came out and got down and dirty right away. We were able to schedule a date the same week to come back to get everything taken care of. They proposed a good solution, but I had to keep nudging them for an estimate. The amount they quoted seemed high and I asked via email if they could tell me how they arrived at it. No answer. I had a handyman look at it, and he said it was actually complicated because of pipes and wires, so I contact Clean and Green again. I have called, texted, and emailed repeatedly, and had no response at all. Rats are eating at my tiny house insulation which is not super accessible, so Im worried about being able to fix the damage. Jim provided us a very expensive quote and stated that we had a big rodent infestation in our home. He gave us a long list of reasons: droppings, torn insulation, etc. One if his competitors, visited, inspected the same areas and concluded there were no rodents, and probably never were any. There were no droppings, no torn insulation (apparently like a rat would do), and no proposal for thousands of dollars. Apparently, there is a good likelihood that it was a raccoon (versus rats). I can't find any record that this business is licensed to perform pest work. He recently came to my house and quoted such an exorbitant sum of $5,500 to perform rodent mitigation that I had a licensed pest inspector come out and inspect. The licensed inspector who has been in business for many years and is highly recommended found NO issues. He did see some old traps that were there and in the same condition as the last time he inspected the house. The licensed inspector found no rodent activity and no voids where the animals could gain access to the house. Total cost $100. I strongly suggest caution and getting a second opinion from a licensed inspector before hiring this company to provide pest control/mitigation services. read more

I had a terrible rat infestation in a rental unit. Jim at Clean & Green was the only company I spoke to that really understood the scope of the problem and could take care of it at a reasonable cost. The rats had an encampment in the attic! Plus, they had gotten into the heating ducts, etc. YUCK!! Here's how Jim handled it: 1. Identify and repair every possible place that pests can get into the structure. 2. Trap and remove all pests. 3. Remove and replace all attic insulation; have HVAC ductwork cleaned. 4. Set traps and monitor closely for another couple of months to check his work. Jim did a great job on all. He also did a fantastic job communicating with my tenants so they would feel comfortable that we were doing everything necessary to insure a safe and sanitary environment. We saw some rats congregating outside right next to our house and under our patio furniture one night, and I freaked out--I do not like rats! After doing some research, I decided to contact Clean & Green because I liked their philosophy and environmentally-friendly approach. I left a message when I called and Jim called me back shortly thereafter. He was incredibly friendly and helpful on the phone. We scheduled the inspection for noon a few days later and he said either he or Tom would be the one to do the inspection. Tom arrived right on time, which is always a nice way to start. We showed him where we had seen the rats and our areas of concern. Tom took the time to explain things to us as he did his inspection. He gave us simple suggestions we could do ourselves to address the problem now and prevent it in the future. He was helpful and honest and had a sense of humor, which we appreciated. Tom made sure that there were no points of entry for the rats and helpfully pointed out to us ways we could continue to prevent them from gaining points of entry. We had one small point, by the water heater drainage, that could have been a problem, but Tom explained to us how to fix it and even put some mesh in for us (for free!) so we could make sure to have the job done right. After his inspection, Tom let us know that, despite my fears, we didn't have anything to worry about at this time, but gave us the information we needed to address the potential concerns. He had a lot of integrity, which is always appreciated, and we really felt like we had someone looking out for our best interests.
