Why the 3 stars you ask? The seats are absolutely horrific. Its a metal bench seat with a bar across your shoulder blades. Even worse the bar is reclined. So you're in this weird position with absolutely no back support while your butt goes numb. You are not allowed to bring in a bleacher seat and if you could it wouldn't fit in the tiny numbered space alloted per person. It would be better to remove the seats and have people sit on the ground kind of Red Rocks style.

Now if u want free parking you may have to walk a bit. Parking will run you $10 during special events, $5 during regular days. The stadium is a nice size with plenty seating. We had paid for VIP access and there are several VIP areas upstairs with plenty of seating. We came for beer festival n felt it was a great venue.

We got great seats next to the dug out which was prime viewing for all the action. Although we didn't get any baseballs :(. I do wish their other screen was up and running as the only one on I had to keep looking over to look at. Their Fourth of July fireworks show on the 3rd was epic! I'd seen the visiting team -- the Saint Paul Saints -- but it was back in their Northern League Days when Mike Veeck owned the team. Either way, this was outstanding baseball in a wonderful environment. As I've mentioned in other ballpark reviews, I'm a former broadcaster who has seen hundreds of baseball games at all levels across the country. Though I've been to plenty of MLB games (dating back to the days of Arlington Stadium, Veterans Stadium, Shea Stadium and the former Yankees Stadium), I'm still partial to minor league baseball. Sure, I enjoyed seeing the likes of Juan Gonzalez smashing balls into the parking lot and Curt Schilling striking out 16 Yankees (that was in 1997, and I loved it with all my heart), but seeing players who are trying to make it to the show -- or trying to make it back, such as so many players on the Mud Hens -- brings me greater joy. Seeing a game in Toledo was a bucket list thing for me, if only because of Jamie Farr's character on MASH. With such a nice little stadium and wonderful baseball to boot, I wish I'd come sooner. A couple of caveats though. First, I've paid less for parking at a Coldplay concert. Further, at least those lots took cards. (These guys only take cash, but I'm sure the parking lot owners report their earnings to the IRS -- NOT!) Secondly, the hot dogs at this park are saltier than the Black Sea. Thank God I took a double dose of Amlodipine! But seriously, I'd come back here in a second.

One of my stops while in Toledo was the Toledo Art Museum. Part of the art museum, but still sort…read moreof separate is the Glass Pavillion. It is across the street from the rest of the museum and houses a large collection of exquisite glass art. So many of the pieces are absolutely beautiful and showcase the versatility of this material in art. The pieces look so delicate and breathtaking. Like the Chandelier Campiello Del Remer #2 by Dale Chihuly, which you see upon first entering the Glass Pavillion. It was one of my favorite pieces of the entire collection. Two other ones that really caught my eye were The Counterman-Diner by Emily Brock, the details capturing an American Diner all in glass must have taken so much time and care. But in regard to detail, I was floored by The Chasidim-Franciscan Chess Set by Gianni Toso. It is an intricately detailed features on each chess piece is amazing. One side are Catholics and the other of the Jewish faith. Its an incredible piece of art! I spent quite some time just looking at it in awe, especially because I love Chess so much. While at the Glass Pavillion, I was also treated to watching someone create a glass vase. That is pretty cool! I would definitely recommend spending an hour or two just in the Glass Pavilion, it is so worth it!

The history is rich and the preservation is phenomenal. Definitely check out the museum which is huge and has so many cool things. Also, I give an entire day to go through the place. There are so many things to read through and explore. Still I don't think you could see everything in one day. It's kid and accessibility friendly although definitely bring good shoes as some of the sidewalks are rocky and may be muddy if it has just rained as it did when we went. I'm so glad they had their 50th and had so many crafts to offer. Their gift shop also has super neat gifts and knickknacks made right there at the site. We will absolutely be back very soon! I also want to add that their staff were all so friendly and knowledgeable and their office building had bathrooms for all people.
