Every time I walked in, I was greeted right away and asked if there was anything specific I was looking for, which made the whole experience feel welcoming rather than feeling rushed or like I was being pressured to buy something I didn't want. I went in on a very busy Saturday to make my purchase, and the team still took their time with me. They adjusted the seats on the bikes I was test riding to make sure it was going to be comfortable, let me wander the store as long as I needed to make my decision, and answered every question thoroughly when I asked. Mark, Mason, and Tyler were the sales staff I worked with that day, and they took great care of me and everyone else in the store. Once I chose my bike, checkout was quick and easy. They sent it to the service area to mount my new seat and water bottle holder while I ran a few errands, and I got a text when everything was ready. When I came back to pick up the bike, Tyler walked me through all the features, helped me set up the app, and made sure I left with no unanswered questions. From start to finish I felt like the team was there to help me, not pressure me. A few days later, I noticed a small vibration in the bike--nothing major, just something I wasn't used to as a first‑time e‑bike owner. I brought it back in, and Nate in the service area checked it over right away. He test rode it, made sure nothing was wrong, and explained what I was feeling (just the motor revving up). He was patient, thorough, and never made me feel silly for asking. I would recommend this shop to anyone. They know what they're doing, they take care of their customers, and they make the whole process easy and enjoyable.

I walked into the store and was immediately helped. I tried on one pair of lens adjusting glasses and he told me to go outside and see how they darken. He was knowledgeable about how and when they darken. He checked into glasses similar to what I had at other stores. In the end I bought a different style from what I had and am happy with my choice. I then walked around the store. They have tons of bikes but also many clothes and accessories. I liked all the Mn themed bike shirts they had available. I'll definitely be back to shop some more. I loved to hang out there when I was a teen. I went back a few times this past year to escape Covid boredom and look at gear. Very disappointing. The gear selection on the floor is decent, mostly mid- and upper lines. Prices are not too far out of line for brick and mortar. I think Scuba Center has a significant online presence and no longer puts emphasis on its storefront, like many other businesses. I don't think they run trips anymore, either due to Covid or internet travel now being the way to go. The pool looks to be the same as I remember it, which brought a smile to my face. From what I understand, Jerry is gone and retired. A guy named Avary now runs the place and seems to think he knows everything about everything. I know my dive gear and therefore know when someone is blowing smoke up my dress. If this guy was even half as good as he thinks he is, he'd be UDT or EOD. Another guy came out of the back who I think is an instructor despite his obesity. I didn't listen to a word he said due to lack of credibility. I did not see any other employees during my two visits. Or any other customers. I miss the days of Jerry, Reece, and particularly RJ, who was my inspiration to get into professional diving. Now, the place is run by fat and balding gooey dudes. I sure miss the old days. I'm sure business is down a lot, but it's not all due to Covid. Employees trying to act knowledgeable and impress customers will drive away business, too. But what would I know? I'm only a recently retired United States Navy diver of 23 years, so my experience obviously pales in comparison to Mr. Avary's.

They treat their customers with disrespect, the instructor we had was always rude and crabby. He treats people as if he is teaching them rocket science and they are just dumb idiots. Scuba diving is a recreational sport and yet this person makes people feel like they have to compete in the olympics. He is very standoffish and made us dread scuba diving. I have never written a bad interview about any place but this one really deserves it. Response: I was not offered free sessions. In fact, I paid for the extra sessions. I still have the receipts and the information are still on the bank statements. We also paid over $1000 for pool sessions and open water, and we were not able to do anything. My boyfriend refused to continue the sessions as well because he thought that the people are rude and doesn't want to deal with them. I posted my review 7 months later because I had called twice in the past weeks and both people who have answered the phone were rude. I generally don't post negative reviews about businesses and I'm sure there are so many people who have had great experiences at the center. However, we weren't one of those people and we felt that's necessary to share our personal opinion.

I took a nut and safety washer in to see if they had parts for purchase. The gentleman went in the back, brought me a safety washer and spent time with two other guys searching for a locking nut that matched the one I had. They spent about 8 minutes huddled back there searching. He came back and was so apologetic about not being able to find one to GIVE me. They didn't charge me for the part they did give me and were going to give me the other for free too. Now, these are tiny parts and don't expect this obviously.. but the fact that these guys went above and beyond for something so small was amazing and the best customer service I've had anywhere in a long time. If I didn't have babies and I did ride, I'd be buying my bike and bringing my bike in to this place for service. Thanks guys.

I was absolutely shocked when I went in to pick them up and my total was almost $1500.00! I said there must be a mistak, was just looking for 3 tune ups... The mechanic (without any communication to me) decided that my 13 year old son's bike needed a top of the line performance mountain bike derailer that cost more than what I paid for the bike! To be clear, these are not Walmart bikes, but we like to buy used and take care of them. Then, many hours of 'labor' were also added to my bill. I showed up expecting $300-$500 in tune ups and I actually had to leave 2 of the bikes there because I didn't have enough $$ to pay for them. Pretry disappointing for kids who were looking forward to a bike ride with Dad that day. I talked to someone who was the mechanic and she said, "...yeah, he shouldn't have not called you...so will this be cash or card?" If your Tour de France team needs bike maintenance and has an unlimited budget, this is your place! If not, go somewhere else.
