We have eaten here many times. Their lunch menu is pretty good. Today we stopped in and they had their brunch menu going. The BEST biscuits and gravy in AZ! It was hard to find the biscuit for all the sausage and gravy. Will make their brunch a regular stop. read more

What a gem of a find in a small town. My expectations were low but wow! If I lived here I'd be here all the time! Late Saturday night the live music can be heard down the block. 8 people jazz band?! Amazing. What a fun historic building utilized so well! We had our meal on the patio upstairs which was adorable. The heat lamps were helpful, flower pots made me feel like I'm in Europe, and the music was very much part of our dinner but we could talk and have more privacy. I just placed an order, sat on the side aisle where the food line was in sight. I watched everyone elses's food go out but mine- waited for 30 minutes before I asked the server to check if the plate on the end was mine. Annoyingly they checked- then served it to me colder than the day outside. At this point I had it, so I asked for a refund. The counter girl cut me off and said"we're really busy, I'm sorry it didn't get to you in time. You'll see your refund in several days.". It is a "go up and order" place with excellent food and if you are again lucky there will be musicians who truly enjoy what they are doing. You must try the appetizer Duck wings with Raven dust. Delectable! They have a great selection of food items, think tacos, caprese flatbread, bountiful beet salad, bowls...pork, lentils and avo. or how 'bout fresh salmon bowl w/ rice and vegetables? Service was horrible. I was just there and the staff cared more about there friends that came in then customers. This place used to be awesome so I don't know what happened. I was sitting at the bar and waited 20 minutes just for a beer poor twice. Apparently there's one guy at the bar just doing only walk ups and the other guy was organizing tables for customers. I don't get this place, but then, I'm not a vegan, a vegetarian, and organic-only snob, or a foodie. I mean, really, who makes ice cream out of goats milk, FCOL! On the plus side, sorta, they bring in outstanding live music acts, touring acts even, and then face them in front of a crowd of people who don't STFU. So, yeah, I eat first, try to find a seat up front, and stick it out for a single set before wandering to a different spot on any given weekend night. Poor service Fair sandwich Had the smoked turkey Reuben Sat at the bar and had 3 different people for all service One took my order, another bought it to me, another handled the transaction. Not one asked how my meal was nor asked to refill my water. One glass of water and using a good named Reuben sandwich with poor quality. I have been to the Raven Cafe twice now. It's a cute place and I liked that many if not most items are organic. I like that they have a varied wine and brew selection although I have not partaken. Next visit. However, I found the food to be average. My first visit I had the Riverhouse salad. Yuck! The chicken was good but there was very little of the other items noted on the menu. And not a homemade balsamic dressing that would have been delightful but instead it was served with a cup of oil and a cup of balsamic vinegar. Again a totally yucky salad for the price too. Expensive and I went home and had a snack. The second time I ordered the mahi mahi tacos. The fish was plentiful but the sauce was not good. It was a tad spicy but not in a Mexican way but more of a Asian way. It just didn't compliment the fish. Too much sauce. And they were messy. I was disappointed. I wanted to like them. I will go again and maybe try an appetizer and a glass of wine but I'm not keen on returning for lunch or dinner. Maybe breakfast - how can that be so bad?? Service was prompt both visits and all of the employees are friendly. But for the money I think I can prepare better salads and tacos at home. read more

We visited this restaurant this past weekend for the first time due to our son having a baseball tournament in Prescott. Sadly, we were extremely disappointed. I ordered the gluten free avocado toast without egg and what came out to me was the SADDEST avocado toast that I have ever seen. I didn't even think it was possibly to screw up something that is so simple. It was one piece of bread with a few tiny avocado slices, few sprigs of arugula and two slices of tomato that were not only unripe but one of them was the top slice of the tomato that still had the core/brown spot. The menu said that it was going to come with guacamole but it did not. When I was finally able to get a waitresses attention to ask where the guacamole was she responded with "oh, all of those menus are outdated.".....WTF, maybe get new menus then. read more

If you are craving a soggy avocado bread.. this is the perfect spot. I ordered an $11.00 avocado toast (fairly easy meal to make) the toast wasn't even toasted. Also there was no seasoning on anything. Coffee and service was nice but that's about it make your food at home then come here for coffee. read more

Just wanted to say that we have had many dinners at the Raven over the last year and they have ALL been excellent. The Raven's food today is positively way better than upon our first visit four years ago. Husband loves their salmon dinner specials and chicken pita; I love the flatbreads, salads are consistently fresh and tasty. The sweet potato fries are amazing. The Raven now offers additional non-alcohol beverages (for me) as well as the stellar beer selection (for hubs). I'm a big fan - keep up the good work. read more

Friendly. One of my besties lives in Prescott and I was up visiting her. We met a bunch of her friends for brunch and celebrating. Raven Cafe exceeded my expectations. I was having a hard time making a brunch decision... (you know when you extra hungry and you want one of everything? Yeah, it was one of those times.) Anyway, the staff suggest I get a savory crepe which was not on the menu. It was stuffed with spinach and eggs and topped with smoked salmon and a dill butter. I subbed my potato side for fresh fruit and it was all I wanted and more! My friend had the burrito, which I tried and that was delicious as well. Not too greasy or cheesy which I find is common in breakfast burritos. Especially important for me as someone who avoids dairy (specifically cheese). Been here a couple times but now you have to order as you walk in, find a table, which isn't bad by any means but.... We sat at our table and my wife's drink was never brought out so she went back down to get it along with a glass for my drink that was never brought either. Then the glass was dirty so I asked a busser to get another which never came so I went and found one myself. Then our food was brought out with no salt/pepper/condiments so again I walk around to find those. Unless normal serving is implemented again we probably won't be back. Why tip when the only thing they did was set our food in front of us and I literally had to do all the leg work otherwise. Even if it is due to staffing shortages which I'm assuming is what will be said the customer shouldn't be doing the work and if that is not expected then pay me for my work..... just no service in sight. read more

The Raven Cafe is tucked away about 1/4 mile from the Main Square park near Whiskey Row. I come here when I'm in town to grab a fresh cup of coffee and take in the local flair of the Prescott lifestyle. The cafe is hipster but that fits all of those older hippies that reside in the Prescott area. The food is good and there is a wide array of offerings. Being a traditionalist at breakfast, I seem to always opt for the eggs, meat and some form of potatoes. So, I really need to break out of my shell; no pun intended. The cafe offers free Wifi. I really enjoy sitting towards the front of the restaurant near the large Bay Glass windows and feeling the sun work it's way up my body and warm me as rises to attention in the eastern skies. For me, I just like to sit back and watch the shuffle of daily business life here. Similar, yet very different in nature to Phoenix. The staff here are super cool and up on the latest happenings and things to check out while you are in the region. Plus they are all pretty hipster themselves. The cafe is filled with intriguing artwork and pictures that always captures my attention. Once your fat belly is loaded, take a walk to the main square and do a few laps with the locals walking their dogs. It really is a good stop. Hands down my favorite spot in Prescott! We live in the Phoenix area and have been to Prescott several times now. Every time were there we end up coming back here! We've been there for breakfast before, coffee is AMAZING! Usually we end up there for an afternoon drink. They have a ton of delicious craft beer on tap.
