The price of the haircut was $35 at the time of booking. I unfortunately needed to reschedule and the process for that was semi-easy. Once I arrived at my appointment Miss Rose greeted me warmly, making me feel like family. The shop is cozy, with products for purchase in the middle aisle, hair for styling along the entry wall, with hooded blow dryers and wash bowls toward the back. My appointment was scheduled for 4p and I arrived around 3:50p and my appointment started at 4:10ish. Not too bad a wait. My stylist was Mist. She was professional and informative. I wanted to retain my length but trim off what was dead/split. Mist understood and showed me how much she thought was appropriate before starting. She blew my hair out straighter to assist with accurately pin pointing of what needed to be trimmed and worked efficiently but carefully as she completed my service. My total at the end of my service was $45 minus the $25 deposit. I guess the necessary blow dry was an additional $10. Matter of fact every one is good. But I love the way she cuts my hair and if I say I am going to let it grow, she said ok, knowing you you will be back in a month or two telling me to cut your hair. But not this time ,I am going to let it grow, as when it is a little long , I don't have to fuss every day and let my hair dresser done it once aweek. I just love them all.

They sat her in the chair for under 30 seconds and said "ok" but, there is an $80 deposit. I went in, gave them the $80 deposit for a $250 treatment, made an appointment, got a receipt and left. I called and left a voicemail the day before her appointment to cancel. Never received a call back. We are now requesting a refund for the $80 deposit and being denied being told there is a 48 hour notice for cancellations. Nowhere on the receipt or in plain viewing is there any notice of a 48 cancellation notice. My wife called to see if maybe they could apply the $80 for a simple haircut for my daughter, they said no. To think they won't refund us is unfathomable.

She listened VERY well. I had about 5 pictures saved on my phone to show her what elements I liked from them and she did everything I asked. I also really liked the line of products that she used on me. I have sensitive skin and high end natural products seem to do the trick. Go visit her Vassar students! I have tried ALL of the local salons and THIS is the one I'll make my appointments at from now on.
