I had lots of good times and talks with friends at this place. The bartender was always friendly and she knew us since we came in so much. It's probably one of the better bars in the area, especially since Chino and Chino Hills doesn't have as much of a nightlife as Pasadena, Rowland Heights, Fullerton, or any place like that. Place is about as hard core as it gets ! Being here is a hideaway from REALITY! This joint is really old, everything is busted up, has not been cleaned since they first opened. Definitely a locals place but not in a negative way. Heres the positives: Super friendly local crowd and bartender. Made you feel welcomed even though it was my 1st time. Music was great, not too loud and I sat at the bar table just enjoying my beer. Negative: since it is a straight dive bar and local, they haven't invested in a draft system. Everything is bottled but the prices were a little steep. I may be prejudice but if I get a draft IPA 22 oz for $7.00 at a nearby bar but pay $5.00 for a 12 oz bottle beer at the Hideaway, there really isn't a comparison. That truly is the only negative. If they had a draft system there or charged $3.50 for a bottled beer, I would be there twice a week. read more

Great dive bar. Some of the regulars get a little drunk and aggressive, but they are harmless. The staff will take care of them as long as you ignore them. Sometimes this place will suprise you and get some ladies walk in. Beware of cage fighter dudes every now and then. Other than that pretty laid back. The set up is pretty cool. It holds up to it's name... a hideaway. Definitely awesome potential; however the bartender was extremely unfriendly to the point of almost scaring all the people we were with lol I also was not keen on the clientele but that's just my opinion. Dive bars are always a hit or miss for each individual, I won't be returning but I did hear they make very strong drinks and you pay next to nothing. This bar is great especially Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. The service is great the Bartenders always have a smile on their face. The price is right & your drinks are served quickly. Nearly a dive. No draft beers, but I got my PBR in the 20+ oz cans. A full bar, but I rarely order anything beyond beer. They have a few microbrews, but many of the usual suspects of domestic beer. This is a cozy place to sit with my beer. They have a decent variety of food which I have yet to try. They have 2 pool tables, the usual L-shape bar counter, a small stage for karaoke, which seems to take place more than one night a week. On one of the big screens I was watching Jeopardy, while other bar attendees were watching football on any of the smaller TVs. They have small round tables with tall bar stools and that strip counter set along the wall. I initially try to find this place on bike, but was unsuccessful. About 2 weeks later, I called and found that I must of missed it; it was hard to find, but with directions it was easily found. They have interesting ceiling tiles, which depict old business promotions, and memories of bar attendees. The tiles seemed to be 25 years old. Typical loyal customers seemed welcoming to newcomers. For this type of establishment, the average age seems a little younger than what I would consider normal. When I first got there, there were a little more than 50% women, but by the time I left it was about even. read more

This is a nice neighborhood bar. There are regulars there every day. If someone doesn't show up for a day or two the other customers check to make sure that person is o.k. The food is excellent. Home made soups daily and daily lunch specials. The pork tacos and burritos are to die for. The drinks are strong and the bartenders are the best in town. This place was pretty cool! Went there last night for the first time. It was past midnight and I made the last minute decision that I wanted to go out for a drink but I didn't feel like dressing up so we did a local search for a bar and came across this one. It turned out to be just what I was looking for! Nice, chill atmosphere, karaoke, a nice cute bartender. Pretty cool people minus the drunk guy who rudely took my seat at the bar and acted like i didnt exist when confronted. I just had two beers so you can't really go wrong there but my friend ordered a Jameson and coke and said the coke wasn't good. Also, the bathrooms were apparently dirty as my friend made me take her home to use her own. I couldn't be bothered to go in and check myself as I have nasty-bathroom-phobia. In the rush of getting her home, I forgot to close out my tab and get my card. Panicked I called at 158 not expecting an answer but they sure did! The girl was really sweet about it and was waiting outside for me when I got there with my card and receipt. Excellent service! Will definitely be going back there again. read more

This place is an unwiped hole! So dirty! The people are cool but yeah very unclean unwiped hole.
