Glasses have still not arrived, and it's been 4 business days and I'm traveling. Customer service claims they need processing time too which is bull shit because they offer 5 days shipping no charge and I could have bought the sunglasses in store at Target absent of issues. They have a no return policy unless the order is incorrect. Buyer beware of their deceptive practices. I cannot imagine what it will be like to get them fixed under an additional warranty I purchased for 50.00. They will probably tell me they don't make them anymore and to buy something else.

The glasses are a little pricier (than say Warby Parker), but really nice looking and high quality. The service is the best of any optical shop I have been to in 3 decades of wearing glasses.

My heart was set on these Barton Perreira frames, which I hadn't heard of before, but I learned are handmade in Japan. ****Buyer be aware ! ***…read more Worst experience ever !! Purchased glasses and contacts . This was the first week of October. I was told my glasses were ready, went to pick it up only for it to be the wrong prescription. I was told it would be sent out to be corrected. I waited 3 weeks , no one called there was no text message. I called to check if my glasses had arrived and was told they had arrived . I went again to target , only to be told by O'Neal the manager that the glasses actually had never been sent out at all. He assured me that it would be sent out and the correct prescription would be done . I waited again another two weeks . Called target optical , they said the glasses were there . Again I went down to the store only to be told the glasses could not be found in the store . O'Neal searched the store and could not locate the glasses in store . Again I was told to come back . After waiting another two weeks he called saying the glasses were in. To my excitement I went down to target again. Only to be disappointed again! The prescription still did not match the lenses that were made . At this point I sent an email to corporate. The district manager Joe called me after three weeks . He did not introduce himself or even look at the email. I had to explain to him what the problem was . Joe's response was very nonchalant. We can refund you $50 for the incompetence of our company! I came back one more time hoping they got the prescription right . Yet again they did not ! I was told I need time for my eyes to adjust to the prescription. The prescription I kept getting from target was made weaker than the glasses I currently wear and much weaker than what my prescription calls for . I asked if I could get a second opinion on the lenses . So I went to another optical store and they confirmed the lenses are weaker and do not match my current glasses or prescription . So far I'm being told just wear the glasses with a weak prescription on it . When I refused to do that and weaken my eyes . I opted to get a full refund . We are in the last week of the year and my only option is to get a refund !! The fact that they cannot make the lenses to the correct prescription several times and had a we don't care attitude is enough for me to NEVER get lenses from here ever again !! *** Do not buy from here ***

There were two other customers in the shop but he still took the time to make me feel welcome. He even got all three of us customers talking. The store itself is beautifully curated -- incredible selection, gorgeous packaging, even the lovely scent of the shop feels intentional. You can tell Ahmed puts genuine care into every detail. I originally stopped in because the tiny screws had fallen out of a pair of my sunglasses (that I didn't even buy there), and Ahmed kindly offered to fix them for me. He had to specially order the screws from abroad and even reinforced both sides so I wouldn't keep having the same issue. He refused to charge me for it, which was such an unexpectedly kind gesture. While I was there, I bought a pair of sunglasses and later realized I preferred another pair I had tried on instead. Even though it was entirely my indecision, Ahmed happily exchanged them for me without hesitation (I hadn't worn them). He was honest, helpful, and genuinely fun throughout the whole process -- the kind of person you instantly want to be friends with. I called to make an appointment so I could have my eyes checked, and they were so gracious on the telephone. I even got an appointment for the next day. When I went into the shop, it was so clean and tidy, and I didn't get a feeling of being rushed, unlike that mall shop. The doctor was really nice, and spend a ton of time trying making sure i had the right prescription. (I have an astigmatism so it can be tricky to get the settings just right). Ordering new glasses was a breeze. Optica Brasil has a wide selection of different styles and frames, all from different manufacturers! Plus many good looking frames were AFFORDABLE. I actually saved enough money that I was able to buy a pair of prescription sunglasses too! Carolina made the entire process so easy, and she was so friendly and personable. She definitely made me want to come back! And I definitely will.
