My team consisted of Alex, the owner, who honored their 5 % discount if booked 3 weeks before moving, and my movers, Eugene and Serge. Eugene contacted me the day before to confirm & ask some questions about my contents, and he kept me informed all along as to their arrival time. All went well but it took longer than expected with only 2 men. They were careful and followed my instructions re: delicate or previously damaged furniture. I asked if they would tell me when the heavy furniture was coming inside because I wanted to put padding on the legs to protect the wooden floors. This slowed them up but it helped me because I might have forgotten about doing that later. Also, I asked them to carry many boxes to the basement, and that I appreciated so much. I was very concerned about one piece, an antique rocker that had 2 breaks in one leg. Much to my surprise, Eugene placed a reinforced bandage on the leg and I am still using it until I take it to get repaired. While packing the month before, I had forgotten where I had hid some valuable jewelry. Well, low and behold, when my bedroom was already emptied, I saw my 2 stashes of gold and silver on the window sill. When I went to Eugene, I commented that I would never have known if they had kept it, and thanked him profusely. His response, "My parents taught me right, I guess." As far as Albo's rates and overall value go....You can't put a price on this kind of integrity and work ethic. The fact that I used them twice in 2 years speaks for itself. Packing for a move is one of the worst stresses in life. But having a moving company that is reliable and trustworthy will free up your mind to concentrate on other important things during your move.

The communication prior to the move from Joe was proactive and clear so I knew exactly what to expect. Jose and his team arrived on time and I loved the text message telling me when they were en route. They packed up my apartment so quickly and they were also careful, making sure to pack everything well. Even with stairs, they unpacked at my new location very fast and even made sure we were happy with where everything was placed. Jose was easy to talk to and very professional about making sure we had a good experience. The team also worked quickly and finished the job in under the 6 hours quoted. If the job was something they didn't/couldn't do, the least they could do is tell you instead of ignoring you. Nate sent me numbers and said everything had to be packed up and ready to go for his team. I asked if they could do one thing - wrap my furniture in blankets - and he answered "no, it's our policy not to wrap the furniture with pads prior to putting them in the truck, as it makes it very difficult to carry the items. I apologize that we won't be able to meet your specific needs and we will not be able to move you." I emailed him back, said I'd be OK with that (even though it wasn't ideal for me), and I haven't heard back. This was 4 days ago. Being a business owner myself, this is not how you treat a repeat customer. Based on this poor experience I would not recommend Smooth Moving Pros.

On the day of the move, they brought everything we needed (moving blankets etc.) We boxed everything else ourselves before they arrived. The three movers assigned were cheerful and helpful and did their job very, very well. We've moved a lot over the years and this was one of the best experiences we had. They even helped us pick up a Facebook marketplace patio set on our way! Remember to tip your movers - it's hard work!!

I will say they were prompt and polite, and Sway really tried to make up for what he could tell was not the smoothest move. It was not an inexpensive move, but the price matched with other companies I got quotes from. *I'd recommend not asking them to move plants because almost all of the plants they handled lost limbs. In an effort to not cause a huge issue, we only contacted them about two items, our 65" Samsung living room TV, and our $1,627 entertainment center. Our TV is dented at the top and effects the top half of the screen, and our entertainment has large shards of wood missing. We just received a letter stating, that due to depreciation, they own us $0. We are responsible for replacing our TV, entertainment center, along without dining room furniture and everything else they ruined. This company has been nothing short of a nightmare.
