Got a Groupon for a mani-pedi, and was quite disappointed that RayBella only had time for me 1.5 weeks from the date I originally requested. Once I was finally able to get a date, I asked to come in at noon and was told that it was ok. Not more than 5 minutes after getting off of the phone did I receive a call from RayBella stating that they actually couldn't accommodate me at the time I requested and told me to come in at 10:30am instead. I reluctantly obliged. When I came for my appointment, I had a bit of a difficult time locating the nail salon. I was at the right address, but nowhere did I see a sign stating 'RayBella Nails'. I called the salon's phone number twice and left a message asking for their exact location, but never received a call back. It wasn't until I entered a random eyebrow threading shop that I realized that RayBella is not an actual nail salon, but just a corner of a threading salon that accommodates 2-3 customers at a time. Despite this inconvenience, the area was clean and organized. The nail technician who took care of me was sweet and friendly, but was a bit disappointed w the mani-pedi that I was given. I noticed RayBella had a very limited selection of nail polish available to choose from, and I felt as though not much effort was placed into my mani-pedi. My hands and feet did not feel much cleaner than when I had come in, which was confirmed when I came home and saw that my toes had a lot of dead skin hanging from the edges of my nail bed bc it was not trimmed during my pedicure; my nails were only filed down and some cuticles trimmed minimally, and not much else. In addition, I requested to have my fingernail gel polish removed, but there was still quite a bit of gel polish remaining after repeatedly asking to have more scraped off. The method that they use in soaking nails in acetone and foil were not efficient, which I believe contributed to this. My nails were never soaked in warm water to soften my cuticles as done in other salons, the hand massage I received was quite minimal, and the way the excess nail polish that got around the nail bed was cleaned up was not very effective. I noticed that because of the excess gel polish, my manicure was a bit uneven and started to chip by the end of the day. As friendly as the service was, I unfortunately will not be returning. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Here are the reasons why I won't be going back: 1. I called several times throughout the day and never got an answer. 2. The first time I called, I did leave a message. She ended up calling me back 4 hours after she "opened" and said she was able to fit me in that day which I was appreciative of. She told me to get there at 645pm. I got there at 640pm and waited until 705pm. That is a long wait... 3. I have been getting no chip manicures for a long time and this was the least amount of care I've ever received- there's no soaking, no cuticle trimming (except for just a couple here and there), no detailed filing, no hand massage, etc. 4. I looked at my nails the next day and realized that the nail polish doesnt even cover the full nail (there are slivers of unpainted nails on the left/right sides of each nail)- which I could have guessed as the polish really wasnt painted on with close attention. 5. My nails are uneven in length because the filing wasn't really done well. Overall it was fine if you just want something really quick and dont care about getting a full treatment manicure, then it's probably fine. I just would never pay full price and go here. read more

Marlo was great. I called last minute looking to get some prior acrylic nails removed and a no chip manicure done. She was able to accomodate my last minute request and squeeze me in 15 minutes later. To take acrylics off typically they use the motorized stone... I expressed my concern that i do NOT want to do that method as it takes off the top epidermis of my natural nails and it just overall wasn't how i wanted to remove them. She patiently took them off using the soaking method and filed them off making sure the healthiness of my natural nails underneath was retained. Once the acrylic was soaked off she took her time making sure that they nails were smooth and shaped to make sure that once she applied the no chip it wouldnt be a bumpy application...she was very personable and polite and the shop was clean, inviting, and centrally located. I will definitely go back and would recommend her to anyone looking to have nail service. read more
