Everything about this place is amazing! The girls are all amazing they greet you with so much hospitality and kindness. I recommend the ham and cheese croissant it's that most amazing and tasteful pastry ever. I also love the fact that they have music on but at the perfect level because I've gone to other coffee shops and they have music super loud that I can't even talk to other people but at Lilly's the music is at a perfect level and calm. I usually only buy matcha in K-Town because it is the only place where I have consistently found high-quality matcha. However, I decided to give this café a try because East LA cafés are rare, and I wanted to support this particular business. I ordered a matcha, a coffee for my sister, and a few baked goods. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The matcha was poor quality, the coffee was mediocre, and the baked goods tasted like items from Ralphs or Costco. They seemed almost stale, were clearly not baked in-house, and lacked everything you'd expect from a baked item from a café. What was especially frustrating was that the matcha et al. is priced as if it were ceremonial grade, despite the quality being far below that standard. The bakery items are prepackaged products arranged to fit the café's aesthetic rather than freshly made offerings. The space itself is cute, and the woman who helped us was very kind. However, the quality of the food and drinks simply does not justify the prices. This place is cute, the decore is all pink, with a bit of nostalgic old world bakery charm. I was coming home after a long day of trainings at conference and I drove right past it and decided to do a u turn and go take a look. I quickly realized I had seen this on my social media feed and had put it on my "want to try " list. The parking .... They only have street parking from what I noticed and it's a main street ...Cesar Chavez so I had to park about a block away. I looked on yelp and their individual cakes looked delish and I really wanted a coffee. I chose to get the coffee cake, the tiramisu, each $7 and a slice of cheesecake $5 and their new coco puffs cold brew cafe de olla with vanilla cold foam 20oz. = $7. Unfortunately, the coffee cake and tiramisu were too dry and didn't have much flavor.... The whipped cream was soft and fluffy, but also not much flavor.... Both of them had whipped cream.... Unfortunately, I was really excited. I wanted to have a nice coffee cake, but this is not it. At least not the slices I got. The cheese cheesecake was good and tasty, but not out of this world. So I wouldn't go back to this bakery just for these cakes. The iced coffee, though that was delicious.!!! really tasty not too sweet and my only complaint is that my cup was too small. I should've ordered the bigger size~ they have 3 sizes and I got the 20oz (med). I felt like there was more ice and coco puffs than coffee and I wanted more coffee. lol I really like the amount of cocoa puffs and ice was the normal amount so I'm not complaining about that lol but I just wanted more coffee! The service was nice Sorry I forgot to take pics I would say to try this place out for yourselves.... I noticed that before I got there, two ladies had walked about a block to get there. Not a good coffee place. It's not real coffee other than powdered sugar mixed with hot water. They charge extra if u want a espresso shot and charge extra for milk of choice so u end up spending more than 8$ a coffee. Pastries are literally Costco or Ralph's and super nasty and old. This place does not sell real coffee. They're menu shows latte but then a seperate charge for milk and espresso other wise they will use just the powdered quick coffee and sugary. I'm a bit perplexed on what rating I should give this "bakery". Clearly the pastries are not made in house. I saw cakes from Ralphs and Costco. Their macarons were in the box came they from. Which really made me wonder are any of the baked goods baked there? The upcharge for the cakes...eepp. The fancier baked goods like the croissants are most likely from Bakers Kneaded. Since they look almost identical to Bastion Bakery. The service was none. No greeting, just basically what do you want. Maybe because I was Asian? Or are they like these to all patrons? I purchased a few pastries and thought they were mediocre. The drink however was good. That earned a star for the review, saving it from 1 star. The store is small, enough for 5-7 people to line up length and width wise. It's true that some things are aesthetically pleasing. Their little knick knacks are things I would purchase. I regret not getting the teas on the shelf because I won't be going back there. I really wish the customer service was better. This would have made everything better. Nice people working, but I ordered a matcha latte, a biscotti latte and a cupcake and each item was not good at all. The matcha had a weird perfume taste to it and was undrinkable. The iced latte was so watered down with just a hint of coffee. The cupcake had clearly been sitting a while and the icing had a distinct taste from sitting in the display case for so long. Their matcha doesn't really taste like matcha and when i took a couple sips, it felt like i drank the powder which wasn't even blended right and i think I also got a taste of the sugar. First time coming here for my girlfriend's birthday and it was a great experience! One of the best mocha latte's we've ever had! I grabbed the oatmilk one and my girlfriend got the almond one, both were so good I got to try both and very delicious! They were gone within minutes, that's how good they were made. My coworker ordered the horchata latte with oat milk and she said it was really good. We also tried their superseed cookie. This is nothing like you'll ever think would taste. It's got all the seeds you can think of: flax, chia, sunflower, nuts, and dried cranberries. It was DELICIOUS! Looks like it wouldn't be good, but you need to try it for yourself to know what I'm talking about. We met the owner and staff. Everyone was very friendly and ready to help us with our selections. I wanted to support a local business but sadly was very disappointed. Ordered the mazapan latte, matcha with strawberry cold foam and a pistachio bun. Everything was expensive, which wasn't surprising. I went in expecting to pay small buisness prices and I was okay with that. I ordered the smallest sized drinks and one pastry and paid over 20bucks. Both drinks tasted like watered down coffee. My mazapan had zero mazapan flavor. We threw away both drinks and took a bite of the $6 pistachio bun and spat it out. We love Tamales Liliana! When we found out they had a cafe we had to try it! Atmosphere was super cute! Service was great. Pastries look amazing, but taste was not good. Not to be confused with Tamales Liliana's next door, Lilly's Bakery is a local instagrammable cafe. My friend shared with me this cafe via Instagram and we happened to pass by on the way from running errands. They were open on Easter Sunday and street parking was surprisingly easy to find. It's a small cafe with a lovely pastel pink interior, mainly for pick up and go. The glass display is filled with a wide variety of pastries. They consistently restock the display but since they're made in house daily, they have limited supply. I wanted to try the Pistachio Croissant but they were out so I got a French Napoleon and a Mocha Iced Latte. My friend got the horchata latte and a capirotada. The mocha latte was okay, tasted like your average mocha, they did ask if I wanted chocolate in the cup which was a nice touch. Ultimately it ended up tasted like a chocolate milk. I must say, I would come back for the horchata latte, it was a winner and had much stronger flavor. The Napoleon was very decadent with a generous thick layer of cream. It was beautifully presented with the strawberry and blackberry topping and a drizzle of dulce de leche but it was much sweeter than other Mille Feuille. The three ladies working were very nice and welcoming, making sure we got our correct orders. A line formed out the door as we waited for our drinks but our patience paid off. read more

Please do not waste your time visiting this establishment! This is one of those "aesthetically pleasing" places and that's as far as it goes! The coffee is so sweet it's as if you're drinking coffee creamer and the pastries are just over priced Ralph's and Costco bakery items that taste stale. Also, BEWARE OF THE LABUBU'S BEHIND THE COUNTER THEY ARE CLAIMING TO BE AUTHENTIC! We asked multiple times before purchasing if they were legit because it seemed kind of off for a random little cafe to be selling LABUBU'S but the owner swore up and down they were authentic! We ended up purchasing 2 and after opening 1 it was OBVIOUS that they were FAKE! We took both back trying to get a refund for the false advertisement and the owner said no she could only refund us for one because the other one was opened and there was "nothing she can do with it"! After going back and forth for about 10 mins they finally gave us our refund. Personally if this was my business and I was selling something I was told was authentic then a customer returned it telling me it wasn't, I would be extremely apologetic and embarrassed and I would've gave them their money back with no hesitation! Where are all my pink girlies at? Lillys Cafe is so IG worthy and so is their coffee! New cafe that opened up in January. The cafe ambience is decorated pink and white, so cute but the real star is they're delicious baked items that put Starbies to shame and the prices are just as comparable. I posted a biscotti iced latte for around $6.50 (venti size). I was blown away, it tasted just like a biscotti. I also ordered a pistachio cream filled bun warmed. All I can say is that I wanted to make a u turn and go back, ha. They definitely have more of a variety and those other guys plus they have keto options including donuts that will entice your belly to try. The girls are friendly and will answer any questions you may have. On the plus size, they have all kinds of cute accessories & cups you can buy for yourself or as gifts. This is definitely my new spot. I need to try some other delicious pastries and other coffee flavors. Lillys cafe has cute little bistro tables outside of you prefer to just chill and people watch.
