So disappointed in our family's experience here. This was our second visit for our child. Our first visit was complimentary due to a promotion. At that time, I went over our insurance information in detail with the front desk staff. I was told that although our insurance was out of network, it would fully cover cleanings and basic visits. We returned on 2/11/26 for our 16-month-old's appointment. The staff brought us back, asked a few questions, and the dentist examined and counted my child's teeth. That was the entirety of the visit, which was fine and expected for their age. However, when we were leaving, the front desk charged my husband $97. I was surprised by the cost given the brief nature of the visit and confused about why our insurance hadn't covered it. Since we hadn't been in since August 2025, I assumed perhaps our coverage had changed in the new year. Something didn't sit right, so I called the office the next day. I was told they had not run our insurance and had charged us directly instead. They were aware of the mistake. While I understand mistakes happen, what concerns me most is that the office was aware of the error but did not reverse the charge, notify us, or apologize. I can't help but wonder whether we would have ever received a refund had I not called. Mistakes happen in any business, but how they are handled matters. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling uneasy about the office's transparency and communication. I have requested that any future appointments be canceled, as we no longer feel our values align. read more

I have been bringing my sons to see Dr Ramos for 4 years.(Both boys had their first visits at 18months old and then every 6 months - they are now 3 and 6). I have always paid a significant portion of the bill (80% of the charges) at the time of their visits as the office is out of network with my dental insurance. I was happy to pay my portion as I felt that Dr Ramos and Tricia (the RDA that did a majority of their cleanings) treated my sons well and provided a fun environment to promote healthy oral habits and regular dental care. I was shocked when I went to pay after their visit this morning to be told that billing had added a note to collect payment in full. I was not provided with a receipt or any documentation of the charges. My credit card was simply charged for a VERY high amount considering the amount of time we spent in the office and the services rendered. I left the office very upset that I was not informed of the need to pay in full after years of paying 80% and that I was not provided with any documentation even though I asked for an emailed copy. I returned to the office to ask for the contact information for the billing department and was told they could not provide a number and someone would reach out to me!. About 20mins later I received a call from Brenda. She admitted that a mistake had been made and proceeded to start spitting out a bunch of numbers concerning charges and insurance payments. I told her to email me the ledger and that I would call back after a meeting. I called back an hour and a half later as I still had not received the ledger. She finally emailed it over. I vented my frustration about the way I was treated and the amount charged. I told her I wanted to be refunded the 20% I was charged that insurance would likely cover. She refused to refund my credit card even though it had only been a matter of hours since they had charged it and insisted she needed to issue and mail a physical check. She also laughed at my frustration and when I called her out for laughing she denied it and didn't offer an apology. I will NEVER take my kids back! I feel incredibly disrespected by the front office staff, billing and Brenda. Even if you are treated well by the front office staff, beware that they charge large fees for basic services - $131 for a kid's cleaning, which is only a quick polishing and flossing and $47 to apply fluoride varnish. read more

I took my grandsons to see Dr Ray and what a lovely experience. Everyone in the office was so friendly and helpful. They made the kids feel so comfortable to be there. Highly recommend them. read more

Nothing but great things to say about Dr. Ramos and his staff! My boys love the assistants, and we've always had great experiences here. The office environment is lovely, and super kid-friendly... Kinda makes me jealous. lol! I like Dr. Ramos because he's good with the kids, and informative with the parents. I highly recommend. read more

This office is amazing!!!! Everyone is so friendly. The front desk girls were pleasant and very professional. The dental hygienists were also amazing. My kids had X-rays done, which is no easy task. But they were very patient. My oldest son has special needs and they ALWAYS take exceptional care of him. If they ask him questions, they wait for an answer, no matter how long it takes. His eyes are sensitive to the light, so they gave him sunglasses to wear. This might not seem like much, but to a parent with a special needs child, it means a lot. Dr. Nunez is our dentist. He is so amazing with the kids! He is patient, gentle, and just an overall great dentist. The kids actually get excited about going to the dentist! A very happy mom! read more

This office is wonderful! My kids love going to the dentist and it is because of how great the staff and doctors are. We have seen both Dr. Ramos and Dr. Nunez and we have had nothing but great experiences with their chairside manner and the trustworthiness of work that is being proposed and done. We have referred all our family and friends to this office and will continue to do so. Also, I'm pretty sure the lady that worked upfront that's mentioned in several reviews no longer works for them anymore. read more

- Recommended -exclusively- a number of unnecessary (and very expensive) procedures while other alternatives were readily available. - Interested in running the practice instead of being focused on the patient. - Inflexible and not a personable office- Poor customer service With year-end coming & associated insurance benefits ending with 2011, our 9 year old girl had some immediate dental need. We were referred to Dr. Ramos and had a horrible experience. To keep this short I'll say that it was clear that Ramos and his staff were not at all focused on accommodating a new patient. They were completely in-flexible and my wife left their in tears not knowing what we were going to do both financially and for our daughters immediate dental needs. We ended back at a trusted dentist that worked us in to their totally booked schedule. When we showed the trusted dentist what Dr. Ramos said was required he did not agree at all with what Ramos was requiring to be done- and we ended up feeling taken care of and used as much insurance benefit that was available. In the end the Ramos staff treated my wife poorly when she asked about flexibility (like asking if our daughter could be worked in before the new year and asking about a payment plan in consideration of all the expensive work Ramos said she needed). She left in tears based on the horrible verbal and non-verbal communication she got from the Ramos staff. A flat screen TV and kid-flavored tooth polish does not warrant a trip to this rip off artist. If you have been to Ramos, or you plan to go I mostly suggest two words for you "Second Opinion". I would not be at all surprised if you're getting ripped off. read more

The dental hygienists were incredibly kind and patient with my two nervous children. They took the time to explain each procedure and even demonstrated the x-ray machine on themselves to put my kids at ease. We have seen and like both Dr. Ramos and Dr. Nunéz, but the hygienists are the real stars of the show for our family! read more

I would give a 0 if I could! This office still owes us money, never returns our calls. Told us my daughter had all these cavities. Got a second opinion and there are no cavities. The same thing happened to a family friend. Would not recommend this office to anyone! read more

I am currently looking for a new pediatric dentist for my daughters. I've had several experiences at this office where I felt like the staff and/or dentist were condescending and borderline rude. At our most recent visit, I was not allowed in the room during my daughter's cavity filling. It was her first cavity and it made me uncomfortable to be banished from the room while they worked on my six year old using laughing gas. I asked around and was told this is not standard procedure. As we left, the billing woman was, again, condescending and rude when I asked a question (this was not my first upsetting encounter with her). Dr. Nunez has always been pleasant, but if it wasn't for him, I would give one star. They get one star for the clean environment and one star for Dr. Nunez. read more

Dr. Ramos has a friendly and accommodating staff. He is easy to talk to and to work with. My daughter and I are very happy with this Doc!

If I could give Dr. Ramos a zero, I would. My daughter saw him at the Santa Rosa office. My daughter went in for her very first filling (8 years old) and she was extremely nervous and scared, she cried. She asked me if I would hold her hand and not leave her side. I said of course! The staff made me feel like an over protective mother and were obviously annoyed I was with my daughter during her filling. They told me they prefer parents wait in the waiting room. What??!! This is a pediatric dental office! The child's comfort should be a priority. My daughter went back a second time for another filling and I reminded them we wanted composite and they were extremely annoyed and rude. Dr. Ramos prefers amalgam (silver) and said in a condescending tone, "I don't know what to tell you. I won't know until I get in there if I can use composite" and stared at me with laser eyes. Awkward! I was so uncomfortable. My daughter and I left, without getting the filling. read more

Assistants were sweet and doctor was good. Billing staff is rude and atrocious. Could not get insurance info correct and would not work with me on the phone. Was told "If we called everyone that we had a problem with I wouldn't have time to do anything" when asked why I didn't get a phone call telling me insurance didn't pay for something that IS covered before receiving an invoice WITH finance charges from them. Hard to get communication back from and ended up just paying. Insurance said it should be fine if they submitted properly. read more

My daughters, now 16 and 12, have been patients of Dr Ramos for many years, and have only terrific reports. He is patient and kind and answers every question. The office staff are also very helpful, and the waiting room has video games! They really understand children, and provide careful service time and time again. read more

Everyone in the office is very friendly and kind. We get lots of reminders about upcoming appointments. The office is kid friendly and welcoming. I notice if Children's aren't ready for something (cleaning teeth or using the suction) they don't push it on the child and wait for the next appointment to try (this last appointment my daughter agreed to both!). Both Dr Ramos and Dr Austin are great with my daughter and always ask if I have any questions or concerns. read more

I called into this office about a week ago to make my daughter a long overdue appointment for a checkup. I was extremely nervous about what they would say after looking back and seeing we hadn't been there in several years but my mind was put at ease immediately. The woman I spoke to on the phone was so kind and compassionate - she assured me that it would all be ok and got me an appointment quickly. Our experience at the office today was fantastic. My daughter and I both felt comfortable from the second we walked in the door. The front desk staff is so helpful and talkative and when we were called into the back, the dental assistant gave us a tour of the office and took lots of time answering questions and gave my daughter lots of tips about proper oral hygiene. Dr. Ramos was patient, knowledgeable and kind and I just can't say enough good things about the entire experience. read more

Changed dentists from this dentist. Now I'm really upset. My daughter is 14 and Ramos' office never offered sealants which would've been covered by your insurance until she was 13. Now I have to pay out-of-pocket for them. I am not impressed by their care for my daughter's teeth. So glad we've moved to the new dentist. read more

Our son had his tooth broken in half at school yesterday. We called Dr. Ramos' office and they fit us in for an emergency appointment. Everyone at the office was amazing! They not only fit us in on short notice but they took a lot of time to examine him and walk us through the options. While they recommended the first, least expensive option they told us that if it does not work out they stand behind their work and will credit us toward the additional possible costs. The piece of tooth that they glued back in might come out and they made sure we knew how to get a hold of them after hours and what to do if it happens while we are on vacation. Everyone that we interacted with was awesome. They cared about us, how our son was feeling and went out of their way to provide us excellent care on short notice! read more

Did a great job taking care of our 2 year old when she had to have three of her top front teeth worked on. She had unusually early tooth decay and needed to have general anesthesia to get it fixed. The whole office was supportive and caring. We also really appreciated their anesthesiologist Dr Jen who showed a lot of compassion and patience with our concerns. read more

My children have always gone to this office. With changes to living situations and a change at my job there was confusion on coverage for my boys. The office staff did not put in the insurance information appropriately. At nearly a year later I received a rude phone call from Marnie, the manager regarding a bill that she had sent for the past few months. Well the bill never came to my house as she did not have the correct address. I was told that they make the person who physically brings the children to the appointment the responsible party even though their Dad has never carried the insurance. Marnie was rude and we will no longer be going to this office. read more

We absolutely love this office for a children's dentist. Everything is designed around kids being comfortable and at ease with the dentist. The staff is warm and cheerful, the space is beautiful and clean and they are so sweet with children. My daughter actually asks to go to the dentist and wants to know when her next appointment is.
