The office staff are warm and welcoming as well as their very clean and tidy waiting room. While you wait you're welcome to help yourself to a refreshment or coffee/tea should you wish. My 15 yr old front crowns had drifted apart into an ugly gap which I felt very self conscious about.. One of them had to be replaced with an implant. She came up with a brilliant plan to correct it without needing braces. Nobody else had suggested that. it turned out beautiful and cost less than braces. I could not be more happy. All I gotta say is THANK GOD for my insurance change that I found this practice! I came across this dental office just doing my research online. Not to be biased but I love my Persian Doctors, there is something about their attention to details & aesthetics (Mahmoodi is a Persian name thats how I figured). I mean this is on top of her credentials as well so do your research for sure. Decided to contact them & give it a try so I made my appointment. We are all still in a pandemic so all appointments were like a couple weeks out. As a new patient they email you new patient forms to fill out prior to your appointment. Super easy! I did it on my phone took me like not even 10 mins. Also they text you to confirm your appointment ahead of time & ask you to call when you get into the parking lot due to COVID. I like an organized system for sure. The office is located in a professional office plaza next to the Petaluma Hospital so there is plenty of parking & easy access. Upon arrival to the practice I immediately noticed the cleanliness. All staff were very professional & friendly. I did not have to wait at all and they walked me over to take my X-rays right away. X-rays are never fun to take but they were very gentle & efficient about it. After that they walked me to the next room so that the Doctor could go over my X-rays & see me. It was a very quick & easy session with Doctor Mahmoodi. I could tell she is experienced because as she looked at my teeth she explained everything to me, usually dentists dont say anything until they are done & Im like ok now what?! :)) She talked to me about the full treatment plan & what needs to be done. I mean it didnt hurt that we both bonded over being Persian & spoke some Farsi too :3 Loved her! very easy going & friendly. So I made all my appointments afterwards & today I had my cleaning with the dental hygienist. As I expected she was ready for me right on time when I walked in & she walked me over to my room. Very professional again & she introduced herself but Of course I don't remember her name. The hygienist also explained everything to me step by step & I definitely noticed how experienced she was because I have never had a smoother cleaning. At some point I was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep :)) she was like you doing ok? Im like Im about to take a nap here :)) I ABSOLUTELY loved the experience! I have always had good experiences from here but today (Friday) afternoon. Prescriptions were ordered. I dropped it off and came back at the required time. Putin's out it had the wrong birthday on the script now I'm waiting and waiting with novacaine wearing off I'm also VERY tired my appt was at 11 it's now 230 I getting annoyed because I want to go home and rest. I'm editing my review because I was crabby when I wrote it. Dr. Mahmoudi is very good. She is gentle and the novacaine shots don't hurt. I hate going to the dentist always have. So glad to have finally found a great dentist in my town! Thanks to Yelp reviews, I was able to meet Dr. Mona and her amazing team. I have visited three times during COVID, once for an overdue cleaning and exam and a second/third time for a new crown. I felt completely safe and noticed the environment was impeccably clean and well sanitized. The staff were very conscientious, even limiting access to new arrivals until just when we were welcome back to the treatment area. Dr. Mona and her team are extremely friendly and excellent communicators. The crown process went very smoothly and efficiently with absolutely no pain. The temporary even was very solid and I had no issues. Since the permanent has been in, I have felt better than ever as my bite is more balanced then it was with my original tooth. I went here and it was a fine cleaning and check-up experience EXCEPT they told me that my insurance doesn't cover the type of cavity filling they use -- and it would cost me $1k+ vs the $200 it would be for me to go through insurance. I have excellent dental insurance and composites (white fillings) are absolutely covered. I have a feeling they don't want to go through insurance because they get more in the end/insurance doesn't pay them enough. So now I need to have another intro appointment with a dentist (I only have 2/year) before I can get any of my cavities fixed. Going here was a giant waste of time. Why can't dental offices be upfront about what they cover and don't cover when you ask to be a new patient? Such horrible service. read more

I've always had terrible experiences at the dentist and started going to the dentist in Mexico. I was referred to Park Dental Plaza by my colleague, who also goes there. We share similar fears when it comes to the dentist, and assured me that THIS was the place and scheduled my appointment right away. My drive was about 1.5-2 hours, and when I got there, I started to fight the urge to leave, but decided to stick it out and wow I am SO happy I did, I would've lost out on something so good had I left. Maria and Dr. G are the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I'm never looking back. I actually can't wait to go back!! They checked in, and made sure I was okay through it all, showed me how my crown was being made, (so cool!) and even fed me a protein shake because it had been a few hours and my stomach was singing the song of its people. My experience was similar to that of Yelper Vanessa B. (3/9/2022). This business doesn't seem happy with the compensation they receive from the insurance company (which they freely contracted with). So, they tell you that the materials the insurance company covers are substandard. Then try to extract exorbitant additional fees for what they claim are acceptable materials. Total BS. What a mistake it was coming to this dentist. Now I have to look again for a dentist I can hopefully trust. Do not fall for these 5-star reviews either. Something smells here. read more

I switch over from my dentist to this one for the reviews. I called and told them that I had x-rays done fairly recent (a few months ago) and stated that I just wanted a routine checkup and asked if they could review my X-rays from my previous so that I wouldn't need x-rays done again. They did the x-rays and charged my insurance again, saying that they needed more recent ones. This place just cares about money. read more

While in the dentist chair yesterday having work done, and listening to the background conversations and music, I was actually thinking that I was happy to be there (that just doesn't happen)! I wanted to switch dentists because my dentist was not a delta dentist anymore. Did a search and found Dr. Mahmoodi was a delta dentist. I had a tooth need a root canal and they gave me a referral. Came back for the crown. After the first prep appt, the front desk tells me I owe money. I said I have 100% coverage. She said there is a 250$ materials upgrade and a two year guarantee on the crown and this is not billed to the insurance. 1. I did not agree for any upgrade. 2.a professional dentist should always guarantee their work and not charge extra for it. 3. There was no upgraded materials to a crown that was sent to a lab. I felt pressured to pay. I did not agree to pay extra money, there was NO pretreatment plan given to me. I also learned that a patient must pay additional 125$ for every filling. I paid the 250$, but I will never go back. They charge the patient more because they feel Delta does not pay enough. If Delta doesn't pay enough then don't be a delta dentist. Delta dentists AGREE to take the accepted fees by the insurance co. HIDING FEES UNTIL CHECK OUT IS DISHONEST. Tbh the staff were nice, I have nothing bad to say about the dental work. JUST BEWARE OF CHARGES YOU DON'T AGREE TO, SNEAKY HIDDEN SURCHARGES SO THAT THEY DON'T LOSE MONEY. read more

Just an update, I had previously showed up for an emergency procedure while my dentist was unavailable, and that was how I first came to dr Mahmoodi. I was very pleased with the work, so at that time I felt compelled to share my experience. So I changed dentists at that time eventhough she is not a preffered provider with my insurance. That doesn't matter at all, dr Mahmoodi takes the same payment as if she is a preffered provider. So check with the office no matter what insurance you have, they will work with you, and even if you have no insurance I'm sure they will work with you. So now I have had many many procedures with dr Mahmoodi and I am blown away with the results. I actually don't mind going to the dentist now, she is that good. So glad I found her, when you find a dentist you can trust, never let them go. She is moving to east side Petaluma which is great, there is better parking over there. So thanks to dr Mahmoodi for providing dental care with no pain. She has even changed a crown that caused me horrific pain at the time it was first done with another dentist and I was worried about that, but her work was pain free which really makes me wonder about the other dentist. This was the reason for my update, I got the old bad dental work the heck out of my mouth and my mind. Her staff is also incredible, just a great dental experience all around. I'm getting to be an old man and I've been around, I have never been this happy about my dental work and know I can afford it and that there will be no pain. So rare! read more

The color she selected for the new caps 100% matched my teeth AND upper front teeth caps from 10 years ago. I'm 57 and off course drink coffee...so....matching color would seen very hard to do.
