Reminds me of pizza we would get at Lake St. Mary's but they don't make they crust at the lake. I was assured here they do. The amount of cheese was perfect without having to order extra. The salad was fresh. You pick your dressing. I had the house which I thought was ok but again it was a nice salad. The pizza sauce was good. Not to sweet or bitter. I prefer canned mushrooms but this time of year they are serving fresh according to Donna and Ally. The front counter person Ally rocks and I had the pleasure to meet Donna Raymond's sister. We visited the area from Dayton and wanted to try a new pizza place. Based on so many favorable reviews and such an extensive menu we selected Raymond's. We picked up our order ahead of schedule and it was ready for us without waiting. My wife and I, both in our 40's and having sampled dozens and dozens of pizzas around the world absolutely LOVED the pizza and wings we ordered. We got the Grandpa's Combo pizza and garlic parmesan wings. The sauce on the wings was so perfect and flavorful and the chicken was super tasty. And the pizza, WOW. Everything about it was stellar. I'm not a big crust guy, but this was the best crust I've ever eaten, and I was glad to eat all of it. The bread, sauce, cheese, seasoning, veggies, meats, all of it stunned me and my wife to say the least. My wife just said, "It was really, really, really, really, really good." The dining area looked clean, orderly and very nice. We would have dined in had we not had other plans. Full disclosure, I have a friend who works here. I was dropping off my friend for work. On the drive I was asking about different pizza recommendation as she has worked here a few months now. I decided on the Pizza Loaf. The Pizza loaf was not only filling it was very good, this is the second time I have eaten here that I remember, the first was right after she started working here, and I really enjoyed the pizza then as well. I tend to be a little picky about pizza and have had it all over the world (literally). I would give the pizza here a solid 8 out of 10. The cheese is a very good mix, the dough has good flavor (this is majorly important) and the sauce isn't just watered down tomatoes nor is is full of just spices to cover up bad sauce. This is very good pizza. I should eat here more often, but as with most yelpers I am a foodie and just love to try new places... so you can't just eat at one place or have one item on the menu when you come back or how can you consider yourself a foodie? My son wanted pizza and thanks again to Yelp we found this neat little place in a plaza near the hotel. I had a meatball sandwich which was about the size of a 1/2 sub (6"). It had enough meatballs to cover the whole roll and not too much sauce which was very tasty. My only complaint, and it could be my own fault, is that I don't like, nor was I expecting, onions on my sandwich (I may not have seen it on the menu tho). My son killed almost an entire medium pizza by himself, he did let me sample a slice so I can say that it too was good, and that's coming from a pizza guy from Buffalo, NY! This was a first time visit for us as we did a google search for food around the area as we're going down I-75. Excellent pies at this location and the customer service and friendliness of every staff member was on point. We started with the mozzarella sticks and had an order of breadsticks, we went with the 5 option rather than the 10. We had a large Pepperoni & Cheese and the sauce and cheese were excellent. I ordered our usual large pizza with their delicious deluxe Italian salad. order arrived with a regular salad. HOLY COW. This is amazing pizza! This place is cozy and warm -- the wonderful smell of their pizza hits you as soon as you walk in the door. The owner is always in a fantastic mood, and just one of those people that makes you feel good. The pizza itself is right in that middle thickness between traditional hand tossed and pan. I ordered a personal pizza and a beer. Great local selections by the way. I think the server did not know what to do with a person eating alone. I attached a photo of how my pizza was served. First time I went to Raymond pizza. Very good pizza, good flavor, could have put on a bit more topping. It was $2 for each topping and I hate when they skimp on cheap toppings like banana pepper. I just moved to Cincinnati and they often have a stupid way to cut pizza into little squares not the new York or rest of the world way to cut pizza into pie slices. When I got home Raymond's cut the pizza into the silly squares. I would get this pizza again but I'll ask them to cut it the correct way. Still can't beat Centerville pizza closer to Dayton and no one comes close to the best pizza I have ever found, Bella pizza in Lackawanna New York. Bella's is worth the seven hour drive from cincy....honest. read more
