Took forever to get food, and once it came out two of the three meals where cold. No apologies or concern for how long it took. No refills offered. Food took the longest I've ever seen to come out at any McAlister's. One of us got a baked potato and from what we could tell they must not have not had any ready and where waiting on it because it was super hot when it finally came... the problem was I'm pretty sure all the other food sat on the counter for over 20 min while they finished a potato... the ultimate nachos were cold, soggy, and full of disappointment. The soup was warm at best and the sandwich (hot according to the menu) was slightly above room temp. I hope this was a one time occurrence because I genuinely like McAlister's but tonight was not the place I know and have come to expect. This was my first time trying this restaurant, and most likely last. I ordered the BLT+A which was mostly just lettuce. There was only a couple slices of overly cooked crunchy bacon, and one tiny slice of tomato. The salad was just ok. For this meal plus a soda it was $20. Definitely NOT worth it in my opinion. This was the store in West Chester near the UC Hospital. We stopped in for lunch and ordered the French Dip that came with a side of potato salad ($12.19) and the Turkey Ranch BLT that came with a bag of chips ($10.69). A soft drink was $3.79 so with tax our bill came to $28.40 without adding a tip. Both sandwiches had generous portions but the Turkey came on soft bread which simply fell apart while trying to eat it. The French Dip was on a more substantial roll and was easier to eat. The potato salad was OK but nothing special. All in all we felt the prices were a little higher than one would pay in a fast food restaurant but the atmosphere was more upscale than most fast food places. You order your food at the counter, pay for it and then find a table. You food is delivered to your table in under 5 minutes. They have a good selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, and stuffed baked potatoes. No alcohol. Free parking in the outdoor parking lot. read more

This is one of my mom's favorite places to go for lunch because she loves their soups and chili. Between the four of us we had a club sandwich with potato salad, a blt & a grilled cheese along with a broccoli cheese soup and a chili. The grilled cheese was not really grilled and didn't have much cheese (see pic) but she dipped it in the soup and she said that made up for it. Called and asked for a manager to review my order. This was for a delivery order on a Saturday afternoon. The woman who answered my call stated she was a manager and could help. In the midst of me explaining the situation and what I should do she was audibly upset/angry. She then proceeded to hang up on me. I got the French dip sandwich, and absolutely housed it. It was pretty tasty, but McAlister's is always on the pricier side, especially when coming in a large group of people. Every single time I go to this McAlister's they make my food wrong. I can order it for pick up or I can order it inside it doesn't matter they can't read a ticket for their life. Unless your get the exact sandwich(even then they still have given me the wrong sandwich) with no changes good lucky getting the right sandwich. Worst part about it is ever time I go back in to get my food correct I am met with attitude by the workers for their mistakes. I love the food it's wonderful but if you can't just make cold cut and a couple hot sandwiches I'll just start making them at home price is not worth this service. read more

The service is always good and the staff are very friendly. Typically, I'm a sandwich guy. Every sandwich I've had here has been great. I have had the spuds as well, and they too are very, very good. Is There are many different combos of soups, salads, sandwiches, and other items you can put together. Normally they I have some kind of cookie, brownie, Rice Krispy treat, or some other kind of dessert available. I haven't found one that I didn't like. Would I go back? Yes, absolutely. Rough night for McAlister's Deli... the poor staff were swamped with a HUGE crowd of people overrunning the staff and kitchen. So before I get into the food, just know I'm jaded after waiting 30min for soup and salad have to run back up to the counter to correct the order. The party had a split delivery of food for about 10min so a bit awkward. Onto the food - the Seasonal Squash topped with almonds was warm, creamy and good, I could eat more! The Savanna salad with chicken, cranberries, Gorgonzola was yummy as well. The place could be more tidy but I'm sure it was a result of a rush and not normal. Overall it was not an experience that would make me want to return, despite the wonderful food. This was our first time at this particular location. We ate inside and my wife got a booth while I paid for our order. I started to sit down with her but notice that the seat had some crud on it from a previous diner. We moved to a different booth. While waiting for our food we noticed that there was a lot of food scraps and litter on the floor. A lady came around to bus a table across from us. Noticed after she left that there was an empty water bottle on the table as well as another on the floor. She seemed to be doing the minimum amount of cleaning she could. I love this McAllisters for its customer service. The manager is AWESOME! The staff are friendly and focused on diners experiences. Even under the difficult Covid situations the staff have really stepped up their games. The food is consistently good and I love the club. My wife and I had a great lunch here on this rainy Saturday. It's in the heart of suburbia, so let's start there. Located in a small strip mall, it's convenient when you are out running errands, but don't think fast food. It's a well appointed deli/diner with lots of seating. It's family friendly, so expect to see parents with their kids. The food is brought out to you and they also bus the tables.. I wasn't sure if a tip was appropriate as I didn't notice anyone else leave one, especially since you pay first. I am assuming service is built into the cost of the food since it's not necessarily cheap. The menu is pretty extensive featuring custom sandwiches to delectable creations like their Orange Cranberry Club. I'd like to point out their spuds (huge baked potato) as well. I tried the Spud Max which is Black Forest ham, Butterball smoked turkey, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar-jack cheese, green onions and black olives with sour cream on the side. It was great, especially since I haven't had a baked potato in a long time! Yum! They also have some really tasty looking combos with medium-sized potatoes and different soups and sandwiches and salads. Lots of options! I'd also recommend the Colossal Carrot Cake if you are a fan of carrot cake. It has real pieces of carrot, raisins, and nuts. The icing is rich and creamy, yum! Giving the location another try. Food quality and quantity is good. It used to be McAllisters never asked of tips but now like every place out they ask. Keeping up with table cleaning is poor. Several of the workers are down right rude. If they are running low on ice they give your a warm team with a few pieces of ice. You have to go back and request ice. I had a pleasant experience at McAllister's when I stopped on my trip to Nashville. I was able to order immediately before the 11:30am rush came through the door. Our food was fast, fresh, and good. I got the Sweet Chipotle Chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese. The sandwich was great, but the mac and cheese was very diluted with too much milk. They could have made it better out of a Kraft box. I could eat deli food all day everyday, but maybe not McAlisters all day everyday. They're menu is trying to be classic deli, but has a little too much of a twist, if you ask me. The items to me feel quite random at times and combinations are unique. What I get, I like, but it's not anything special. I got the Savannah Chopped salad and deli turkey sandwich. Nothing too special, but not bad. I recommend the salad, but the sandwich might be tad too bland if you're looking for something special. I'll be honest - I'm not a huge McAlister's fan. Every time I go (not this location, just the restaurant in general), I'm never ~in love~ with my meal. It's just a-okay. However, since I was out-ruled, tonight for dinner we ended up at McAlister's. I tried something new - the McAlister Club with potato salad and their famous ice tea - and actually really enjoyed it. Just an overall "blah" experience. I really had a hankering for a good deli sandwich and was in the area. I've seen McAlister's around town and for the most part heard good things about them. So in I go to see what it's all about. I opted for the Horseradish Roast Beef & Cheddar sandwich which came with a side of which I ordered mac and cheese. I was a little concerned that it was $7.29 but figured that it had to be a delicious and substantial sandwich to priced like this. Boy was I wrong. I've seen more meat on a Subway sandwich than what came on this (see photos). Not only that, but there was a tiny dollop of horseradish on it barely distinguishable. The worst part - it was cold. I really don't know how this happens but I received my meal maybe 5 minutes after I ordered so I'm baffled how this occurred. The cheese was already hardened and the bread was at room temperature. The mac and cheese I feared would be disappointing as well. I was correct. It had obviously been scooped out with an ice cream scooper from a bin that's probably been out all day. If you've ever had Golden Corral mac and cheese then you've had McAlister's mac and cheese. The lone star of the meal was the pickle spear which Vlasic handled. For almost $8 after tax I should be blown away by the sandwich. Otherwise I'll just head over to a sub shop and get a better deli sandwich. It wasn't like they were busy either so I know that had nothing to do with my experience. I'd like to give them another try, and maybe order something else, but my first experience wasn't very encouraging. I'll be heading elsewhere next time for my deli sandwich fix. read more
