We went to Raymonds pizzeria today for the very first time. We ordered a small pizza, a Momma Mia (Italian meat) sub and a meatball sub. Everything was very good. The restaurant is small and very clean. Our waitress was so charming. They are a family run restaurant with the mother, father, kids and cousins all working there. We were so excited to try Raymond's Pizza. I bookmarked it for the next time we would be in that area. A couple days later I found a deal on Cincysavers, and it seemed like this trip was ment to be. My review is split. Pizza: We ordered the veggie. Too thick to be considered think crust, and too thin to be considered traditional crust. A light crispness on the bottom. Sauce tasted a bit watery. Menu states it comes with light cheese. If it came with the same amount of cheese as other pizzas, it may have had the flavor it seemed to be lacking. For this pizza alone 2 stars. Stuffed pizza: kind of similar to a canzone. We got the Mexican with chicken. Lots of flavor. The sour cream was a nice touch. Ours was filled with jalapeños. The crust was brushed with butter or oil and topped with a sprinkling of parm and parsley. Helped quite a bit with the flavor. If we had only ordered this, 4 stars. If Raymond's was closer, we may be willing to try it again. At the distance it was most likely not happen. read more

Walking into Raymond's Pizza is a step back to 1995. Don't get me wrong - It isn't dated. The cups aren't sporting that iconic 1990's geometric abstract pattern. I didn't hear Spicegirls or Backstreet Boys. It isn't attached to a skating rink. It just has that feeling. Yknow when something just reminds you of your childhood but it's hard to pinpoint exactly why...yep. That's Raymond's. As soon as I walked in the door - I felt the same feeling I felt walking into some of the dine-in pizza joints of days gone by. The sounds, the smells, the style of the booths and the chairs - You know when you went to Pizza Hut for a birthday party? This place gives you that feeling but better. They just need to add a few arcades and I'd forget what decade I'm in. Raymond's Pizza is a pizza joint located on Yankee Rd in the same shopping strip mall as the Kroger Marketplace. It's a seat yourself kind of place with comfortable booths (we like the one by the window) and tables in the center for bigger groups. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. Fill your own drink at the fountain machine. A couple of TV hang from the corners and broadcast sports. High chairs are readily available for the little ones. It is family-friendly comfort - something that I have learned is not easily come by. The pizza is good. The dough is top quality - good texture and taste. While they do have quite a selection of specialty pizzas - it's not Dewey's. The specialty pizzas are made for the "common man" and I mean that wholeheartedly as a compliment. Sometimes you really just want a good pizza and not a five course meal layed out in the form of an assortment of haphazard toppings on a pizza crust. And if you are feeling a little more adventurous - they do have some more exotic specialty choices. Service was prompt. Staff was friendly. This is the best pizza! I love pizza, and it's hard to pick a favorite because there are so many different kinds. There is nothing fancy going on, just awesome crispy crust, great sauce, loads of wonderfully salty cheese. For me this beats out A Tavola, Taglio, and Catch-a-fire. [TLDR]A single-location counter service pizzeria serving a soft, thick crusted pizza with very thick blanket of cheese[/TLDR] If you end up eating the pizza at Raymond's Pizza, and at some point have also eaten the pizza at FF/Hamilton County pizza institution Chester's Pizza (est'd 1954), you may find yourself nodding an smiling as you recognize the familiar textures and tastes. This is because the owner of Raymonds is from the Dadabo family that started the Chester's Pizza chain (sadly down to 1 location) Like most typical pizza joints, they have (duh!) pizza, hot and cold sandwiches, wings, salads, and a few pastas. The have a fairly large dining room, but no waiter/waitress service - you order at the counter, get your own drinks, and they bring your food out to you when it is ready I am not a big fan of this particular pizza. They have one crust type, which I'd describe as nowhere near thin but not quite as thick as a typical sicilian style pizza. This crust is soft through and through, with very little of the pliant chew I look for in a good crust. The underside is nicely burnished brown, but there is little or no crispness to the outside crust, except on the outer edges. The sauce is barely there, both in quantity and in flavor. It is a cooked and herbed sauce, which usually means you get some nice concentrated flavors, but I could barely taste it even when I scooped some out from underneath the crust to taste by itself. It didn't help that there was very little of it applied to this pie. If you like to taste the sauce on your pizza, I recommend asking for a cup of extra sauce on the side to dip your pizza into The cheese is heavily applied - so heavily that if you regularly order extra cheese on your pizza elsewhere, you probably want want to here. It is of good quality, but oily, and as it melts the oil is released and pools atop the pizza. YMMV, but I recommend dabbing the pie while it is hot to rid yourself of some of this excess oil I was also not a fan of the nearly flavorless sausage, but the minced garlic I also ordered was very fresh and applied generously. I ended up liking the pie not so much as a pizza, but as a really good garlic bread with cheese Pizza here are cut party style (squares) by default, so if you want pie cut (wedges) make sure you request that when you order There is plenty of parking here as it sits on the side of a large shopping center Costwise, I thought it was a bit on the high side, but I noted that there are daily specials printed on the wall plus coupons printed in the take-out menus. That said, these are mostly for 2 or more of something - no deals for the single diner. read more

Raymond's has done a fantastic job of handling new safety measures during COVID. I am a HUGE fan of their pizza, sandwiches, salads and pastas. We just moved to the north Cincinnati area, and we've been trying out new places all around. Heard good things about Raymond's here on Yelp so we phoned in an order for carry out on a Thursday evening. The place was packed, as in there were zero seats available when I got there, and there were several waiting to make eat-in orders when I arrived. There's no separate line for takeout, so I had to wait through the line to get my large order to go. We ordered two pizzas, two pizza loaves (a little like a sliced up calzone), and garlic bread with cheese. As others have noted, the crust was somewhere in the middle of thin and thick, and rather chewy. Group reviews were average. The pizza loaves were the best of what we ordered. I didn't personally like the crust and on ours it was pretty soggy, but obviously many others like it. If there had been a better way to manage to-go orders, I probably would have given a 4th star. I've since discovered that there is a location very close to us now, so we may give it another try. read more

I planned a surprise get together for 10, and was concerned about getting a seat for all of us. I called a few days prior to the weekend to make a reservation and the owner was incredibly accommodating. He told me that they get pretty busy on the weekends, and we set the time and told me that it shouldn't be a problem. The weekend rolled around and sure enough our table was waiting for us! This is a cute little spot tucked inside the Kroger plaza, and it get's pretty busy on the weekend. You go to the counter to put in your order and pay, and then you take your seat with a number so the staff can bring you your meal once it's done. Despite being super busy, our food came out very quickly and it was super tasty. I had the baked mostacholi, which I'm probably butchering the name of... but it was delicious and I wanted to take all the breadsticks in the place home with me... yum! The service and the food were fantastic and I can't wait to head back over there soon to try more! read more

Okay so I gave it a try at the recommendations of some friends. Nothing to write home about. Ordered half pepperoni, meatball sandwich and cinnamon sticks. Pizza is "Jets like" but round and cut in squares. Very saucy and the pepperoni is hidden under the cheese...and not a lot of it. Crust is boring, cheese was tasty. Meatball sandwich was decent...better than the pizza. Meatball taste was good, sauce too heavy and the bread was soggy from the sauce. If I ordered again I would definitely say light on the sauce. Cinnamon sticks had a great taste but the dough was undercooked and tasted raw. Not a great first experience. Probably won't be back. Being a New Yorker I have not found many places that we like...so take that in to consideration...if you like other Cincinnati and Dayton pizza joints you may like this one. If you are looking for a NY replacement don't go. We shouldn't have. read more

Mama Mia! L'amo!! WOW, the Mama Mia sub is one of the best subs, uh EVER. A garlic laden roll with salami, bologna, ham, onions and their house-made italian dressing. I cannot say enough about their dressing!! The service is great and they never get my order wrong. I am the person who orders extra sauces and never get them, but not at Raymond's! They take good care of my needs by saucin' it up! Great food! BTW, my 2 year old son has yet to be interested in eating meat, but he hoovered the Mama Mia! It was impressive! Thank you Raymond's!!
