I'm an Everett native and have been going to Ray's drive-in for over 40 years. There food is great. I've tried almost everything on the menu, but mostly I buy the deluxe cheeseburger and fries. I occasionally get the fish and chips and they are awesome. When I lived in north Everett I ate there at least twice a week. It's the best drive-in. read more

The food here is tasty and the milkshakes are fantastic but it's also very pricey. I'm not a huge fan of paying almost $20 for a fast food meal. The service is not the best but by no means is it terrible it's just that you are dealing with young people who don't care a lot about their jobs. I hadn't been here for years but I remember enjoying Ray's in highschool. Everything was tasty, cooked perfectly. My boyfriend and I ordered veggie burgers, fries and a small coleslaw. The veggie burgers were delicious. The coleslaw was pretty good. The fries were soft and not crisp at all but still pretty tasty. Generous portions of fries, skins still on. The fry sauce was not to my or boyfriend's liking. Prices are fair wait time was ok. Would visit again. read more

Rays is your typical small town delicious messy burger joint in my opinion. Everything is warm/hot (fries do tend to be cold by the time i get them home which is a 5-10 minute drive), it tastes fresh and is DEFINITELY greasy. Lol sometimes a little too greasy. Milkshakes are delicious and flavorful but do melt fast. Just wish the hours were longer, the food was slightly less greasy, and perhaps a better location (although I understand reasoning for staying). read more

Want to start out by people complaining about the price of Ray's. Yes, they do cost more than CrapDonalds or BurgerCreep, but they *ARE* a local business, who has been round for 50+ years, right there on Broadway and 14th. They've survived all the fast food that's come in just a short ways south down Broadway, so that should tell you one glaring fact - The food is well worth the cost. I've tried a little bit of everything from Ray's, and no matter what I get, it's always good. The burgers aren't just left under the heat lamps waiting to be ordered, and the same goes for the fish, fries, and onion rings. Nothing gets made until you place your order. They don't even pre cook the bacon! I'm a big fan of getting a Double Ray's with bacon and cheese, large onion rings, and a shake. Yes, it's a bit on the greasy side, but bear in mind this isn't a snooty Seattle high dollar restaurant. It's a mom and pop burger joint. So don't be a wuss about a greasy bag. Trust me, it's worth it. The fries are also hand cut, the onion rings are hand sliced, it's all home made goodness. The staff at Ray's are always very friendly and polite, and do their best to be sure you're completely happy with your order. I've never enountered a single employee there who has ever been anything but smiling and friendly. Next to making a trip home to Texas, these are some of the best burgers, fries, onion rings, and shakes I've had in darn near forever. I wish I worked closer to home so I could get by there more often. Of course then I would look like I feel when it comes to food - fat and happy! :-) Bottom line: Go to Ray's. Besides mikies (also located in Everett) this has got to be my favorite burger place around!! The hamburgers, milkshakes, and the fish and chips are wonderful!!! My family and I eat at Ray's at least once a month. Typically the service and food are what you would expect of a local burger drive thru. My family decided to run out for lunch while I stayed in. We were given a very burned basket of fish and onion rings that we did not order. Along with a disgusting cola type beverage. Not the first or even the second or third time I have gotten the wrong order. I decided it would be worth calling. Kayla, who later informed me that she was the manger , answered the phone. I asked what would be done to correct the issue. She said well, we gave you someone else's order. I asked again what would be done to fix it. She said I guess you can have another burger later this week. Which eventually turned into I could come in any day later and get 2 baskets. The entire time she was rude and had an annoyed tone. I explained that I would be contacting the owner as I did not feel like I was being respected and did not feel as though I were dealing with an adult. This is where I was informed that she was the manager. She did say sorry several times, unfortunately her snotty, fake apology left a bad taste in my mouth and that of my family. Too bad. My husband and I have ate at Ray's many times in the past. He really liked it. Today, however, we went through the drive through and I ordered a double swiss and mushroom burger with onion rings and a small sprite and my husband ordered a double cheese burger basket with onion rings and a large coke. The person taking my order kept interrupting me as I was speaking so that my husband had to clarify what I was saying. My husband ordered then we drove to the window. We looked inside the window and I pretty much lost my appetite. My husband said "That grill is disgusting!" From what we could see the back of the grill was totally black with grease and whatever. Black smudges on everything, insides of windows smeared and dirty, it reminded me of the inside of a garage rather than a restaurant....and this was just from what we could see from our small car. They need supervisors in there, or the Health department. My hamburger was more like a sauce burger with 3 slices of mushroom. Onion rings were hard and dry and I didn't even get my small sprite. My husband went back to get my drink and they wanted him to pay for it so we left, went to McDonald's, bought my drink, sat in their parking lot and ate. Never going back there again. read more

My husband and I stopped by here today for lunch. We use to own the 7-11 store across the street from Ray's and also lived in the residential houses behind the restaurant. We knew the original owners. So today brought back a lot of memories to us...we ordered the fish and chips, the fish was wonderful, the fries were a little soggy, I also ordered some onion rings which were good. They need to step up the tarter sauce a little so it doesn't taste like just mayo. But regardless, we will stop here again when we are back in town, Thanks "Ray's" for the memories!!! read more

Ray's has the best fish and chips I've been able to find from Seattle to Blaine. Thick pieces of fish, light and crispy batter. Fantastic!

A true old-fashioned burger joint. The food is greasy and you'll spend more than you would for fast(er) food, but it's tasty. The shakes are the big draw: lots of flavors, thick and delicious. And sometimes nothing but a Ray's ranchburger and onion rings will do. Walk up or drive-through. There's an outdoor seating area, but you'd better hope for a warm day. read more

This is a real old fashioned drive in. No fuss here. I love that. For those who say the fries are soggy, skip the fires, go straight to the mushrooms. Oh man they are beauties. I have been going to this place since hubby and I started dating 18 years ago. My favorite is the fish and chips. I wont even go to Ivars anymore as this is as awesome as it gets. Pair those luscious chips with a coffee or mocha malt and I am in seventh heaven. Burgers are fantastic too but then again, we have not had anything that was not great off the menu. I've been to this place three times and have a great experience every time. I went to Ray's tonight with the parents and the consensus from everyone was that this is the best burger we've had in quite awhile. I'm not sure what the negative reviewers are smoking but everything that we ordered was excellent. I ordered a double mushroom and swiss burger but with 'Murican cheese instead of swiss, I added bacon to it and asked for the onions to be grilled instead of raw. The burger was delicious, full of flavor, not overcooked and had a ton of mushrooms and onions and was dynamite. I also got a small onion ring which was light and just a little crunch to the breading but tender on the inside, I added a salt packet to mine because it didn't look like they were salted from the start, which isn't a big deal. Furthermore, I got a half order of deep fried mushrooms to split with the family, those were great as well, fresh, light and just a little crispy. I got a small chocolate milkshake that was good sized and full of flavor as well. Everything that I ordered was $18 but for the amount of food that I got, I don't mind paying that. Without the mushrooms it would've been more like $12 and any of these other fufu burger restaurants you would be spending over $20. Everything my family and I ordered was delicious and we will definitely be back. read more

I just went in Rays to get food for me and kids. Has there's parking lot has construction and I have big truck and I can fit thru the drive thru. My newborn was sleepy and I was not about walk on the other side building out of site of my truck. What makes a difference what side you order from. But it really got me mad when I the people's In Ray's did not even care about the client or customer. It will be my last time I go to Rays Drive in everett, they have lost me as a customer for life as this not right to do to someone that has kids and Staff is very unpleasent to deal with and for now on they just lost my 25 dollar drop everytime. read more
