After thorough testing, Dr. Miranda determined that my tooth had normal sensitivity and did not need a root canal after all. What impressed me most was Dr. Miranda's honesty and attention to detail. She explained that because the root is so close to the nerve, attempting a root canal could very likely cause permanent numbness in that area of my face. Instead of performing an unnecessary procedure, she took the ethical and professional approach and advised against it. First I was told by the dental office I had no insurance which they knew better I'd been a patient for at least 3 months by that time. Then when I reached out to my dental insurance to check I was told a claim was put in incorrectly as if I already had the procedure done. When I contacted the office about this the office manager Christy told me it was entered incorrectly. So instead of offering to fix their mistake I had to call and find out why and then call back to have Christy to resubmit the PA request. I then asked to speak with Dr. Mullins 12/15/25, 12/31/25,1/5/26,1/8/26,3/5/26. Not only have I not been called back by Dr. Mullins but now I have been turned over to another dentist for my procedure because now Dr Lau has obligations at UMKC dentistry now. Incorrect insurance information, Incorrect PA submitted, lack of resolution, Critical communication breakdown, or just plain Ghosting.
