I was looking for a last minute opening for barbers in Elk Grove which is always hard to find. Called these guys up and Drew picked up the phone. He was very courteous and told me he had an opening if I could show up in the next 20 minutes. I headed right over there and he was waiting for me. Really cool down to earth guy. He is very detailed which I appreciate. He took his time and if he wasn't satisfied he took his time to make sure it came out exactly how it should look. That level of detail and love for their job is hard to find so I definitely will be back. Props to his appreciation of old skool R&B toons.

My son needed a haircut before school, and he's very particular about it. I'm glad we found Anthony because my son loves his haircut and now refuses to go to anyone else!

This review is for the owner Dave. I made an appointment for which I paid and tipped very generously only to later find out at home that I got the worst haircut of my life time. As you can see on the pictures there are extremely uneven spots all over. No matter how hard I am trying to read the mindset and thought process of the young man who cut my hair, I just can't figure out how is it possible to mess up someone hair like this. The only possibility here is foul play and sociopathic behavior similar to those young men we hear about whom are working at fast food chains and are thinking it is funny to mess up with peoples' food. It's just impossible to mess up in this manner unless it was purely intentional. Days later I requested to speak to the owner. Dave the owner called and we spoke over the phone. I urged Dave to take a look at this, because I never seen anything like this in life, I just can't call this a haircut. There are spots that are cut uneven not by millimeters but two to three inches. THAT IS RIGHT TWO TO THREE INCHES. I also informed Dave that there is still sufficient length to my hair that can be fixed into something presentable. Instead of taking ownership and responsibility, Dave said he doesn't have time and I should see the young man again, because he wouldn't hire people that he doesn't think are talented. I made an appointment and I went there again. The young man asked me how do I wanted it? I told him I am glad that there are no customers there so I can speak to him freely, and I also told him not to feel pressured or be nervous, my hair will grow again. Then I pointed to the mistakes he made the first time and I asked him to turn this into something that is presentable. The young man showed me a couple of pictures and said he can fix my hair like them. I picked one and I asked him to fix all the unevenness. After he was done, I asked him a few question because he looks too young. 21 year old and less then two years on the job. I told him we are in a similar profession and our job is to make people look good. It doesn't matter if you hate someone because of how they look like or where they came from, in the end the haircut you give is a representation and advertisement of your job, you do a poor job you will ruin your own reputation. So being young and early in his career I chose not to name him. The young man kept offering me a refund, but I kept refusing. Now Dave the owner, you failed. After this disaster I gave you the opportunity to correct this intentional or unintentional mistake, but you chose to save face and ego over customer service. You cowered and avoided witnessing this mess of a job first hand yourself. The the second attempt to fix things, over the last three days, everyday has been a struggle to fix my hair but what made me come back and write a review is when a coworker attempted to fix my hair without knowing anything about this ordeal but kept failing. Had you done your job right the first time we didn't have to go through this mess, had you taken ownership, respected your profession and customers, I didn't have to come back and rewrite this review. I asked a few friends if they've ever been to this establishment, one told me that there is only one barber at this place who knows his job well and he is always booked with his regular clients, everybody else are not even as talented as the $6 Chinatown alleys barbers. Well, I am still not convinced that this was a mistake or a job done by a il experienced and poorly talented barber. A mess of this magnitude can only be caused by toxic intentions. If you're a new customer, make sure you check your hair very very carefully before you walk out of there and make sure you see the right person, or else every morning when you fix your hair, you will be very very disappointed and upset.

Anna is definitely THE next up and coming barber. She's been featured and showcased by the Sacramento Barbers' Club after only 2 years of developing her craft. Going to barber shops when you're not a man can be daunting at times, but her calm, cool, and lighthearted personality immediately makes you feel welcome. I have a tendency of not knowing what kind of haircut I'm looking for, which Anna handles with patience and kindness. I always leave her chair feeling more confident. With COVID, the shop's owner, Dave, moved quickly to take precautions making me, as a customer, feel safe. They have a patio for appointments, wear masks, and socially distance. It is clear that the barbers at this shop are a community focused on meeting their clients' needs.

Location is great!! Next to California family fitness so was able to walk over after my work out. The gentleman Anthony answered the phone was very professional. I was able to schedule a haircut the same day with Drew. He took his time and was very friendly and welcoming. Old school music was very pleasant and enjoyable. Conversation wasn't forced. I had a great experience at this shop! I will definitely come back! read more

Terrible service! Nobody cares if you are being helped and half the time the barbers just goof around doing nothing! I waited for a good 30 minutes and nobody asked me if I needed any help. I honestly don't understand how a business like this survives! Don't waste your time even driving here, biggest waste of time. read more

Been getting cut up by Dave C. for quite a while now and every experience I have had with him has been an amazing one. Dave takes the time to make sure you get the haircut you want and is very meticulous with his craft. I get compliments whenever I get a fresh fade and his work really shows. My sons father took him to a $8 hair cutt spot... my sons hair was a disaster it was super choppy and was given a uneven fade . I booked an appointment with ANTHONY this morning , I was so happy they were open today ! Anyways I thought we would have to completely take off all the length of my sons hair but Anthony came thru and we kept the length!! Which my son was super relieved because he has been growing it out for a while ... He took his time and was very polite. I will definitely be back here .. Also I would like the mention I was greeted as soon as I walked in and didn't have to go threw that weird awkward silence when I walk into a new barber shop with my kids . Let me tell you right now . Anna , best barber hands down. If you're not going to her , you're wrong. Definitely pays attention to detail and makes the whole experience something to look forward to. If you're also a part of the LGBTQ+ community, she's definitely the #1 barber you wanna go to for big chops or for having a safe space to go get your haircut and be well taken care of. My brother gets his haircuts from Jayce and he's always happy with the results. We've tried so many barbershops in Elk Grove that my brother is uncomfortable with because he has a hard time with the razors, Jayce made sure he was okay with the razor he used and for the first time my brother sat through a whole haircut completely still. Razor Sharp Kutz one of the best barber shops in Sacramento & Elk Grove area. Super clean and nice and bright. They have mask ready by the door. Staff is super friendly and has family vibe. This place cuts hair well... BUT my review is based on the CUSTOMER SERVICE... my son made an appt at 10:30am ... upon entering the establishment...no greeting whatsoever...we sat down and waited...the barber for the appt was with another customer... 20min later he was still cutting and excessively chatting with that customer... another 5min later I finally asked another barber what is the process for checking in when you have an appt??? He said just let the barber know that you are here... which my son had already did... so I ended up speaking out loud "HEY BEN, your 10:30 client is here waiting!" FINALLY after 30+ min of waiting...he was able to finish with that client and was ready to tend to my son who was his 10:30 appt! The barber didn't apologize for the excessive 30+ min wait! Like WTF, I felt like he took advantage over the fact that his next client was nobody but teenage boy, so he took his time with his homeboy and chat it up...HORRIBLE customer service! Oh and the barber who I responded my question about checking in was the OWNER! Tip, in the business of customer service...your business is the CUSTOMER! read more

As a first time guest at Razor Kutz Barber Lounge I must say that I was really impressed with the ambiance and aesthetics of the lounge. Razor cuts has a very family friendly atmosphere that I much appreciate (I'm a mom that dreads going into most barbershops because of the inappropriate behavior & music.) All of the barbers look super friendly and skilled! But I have to give major kudos and shout out to DSPEED "the Barber" he was absolutely amazing! I visited to have him do haircuts for my two boys and create a new short style for myself and I must say he superseded my expectations! A little nervous to finally do the "big chop" He made me feel really comfortable and promised to hook me up with a dope design. That's what he did! I didn't feel rushed or my concerns did not go unheard, he took his time and helped me decide what style I wanted. D.Speed, You not only gave me more than what I asked for, you provided the extra time showing me the different ways to style my new hairdo. Thank you so much for your personal touch. Awesome hair cut!! I had a great experience, the place is clean staff is professional and friendly I was able to reserve an appointment ahead of time and when I arrived I didn't have to wait long before I got in the chair. My Barber Benji knew exactly what kind of cut I wanted I received a great hair cut and beard trim. My man Ajay hook me up everytime... never had a bad experience... the lounge is a cool and chill environment, how a barber shop should be... All the barbers are welcoming and set a very nice environment for the shop.... As you know barbers are really busy around this time of the year... MAKING AN APPOINTMENT IS RECOMMENDED... reserve your spot, don't get angry when they cant get to you... PLEASE PLAN AHEAD...this isnt great clips lol read more

I explained the situation and again reiterated that it was my fault because of maybe the verbiage I used. She heard me out and validated me, and once she started cutting my son's hair it already looked a lot better. I will be coming back to Amari! She makes coming to the shop feel really good as she has been the first female barber I've met. She and the rest of the barbers felt really welcoming!

I went to the location and it is in old town Elk Grove right next to the railroad tracks. They do have street parking and a cross the street is a parking lot. I got a spot there. When I drove by I only saw one guy inside getting his hair done so I hoped they could fit me in since i didn't have an appointment. I walked in and sat down. Only still seeing the one customer getting his hair cut. I asked if he could fit me in? He looked at his watch and said he could fit me in right after this guy. I was happy he fit me in. A few minutes went by and another guy walked into the shop. The barber asked if he had an appointment and the man said he didn't . The barber said that he couldn't fit him in today because he didn't have enough staff and he was booked up for that day. He could come in tomorrow and get a hair cut. The guy said ok and left. After he had left I thanked the barber for fitting me in since I had no appointment. The barber was named Justin. I told him that my wife wanted my hair to look like Thor's haircut and I showed him a picture. He said that the hair in the picture was different than mine but he could get close to it. I told him great. Justin did a great job on my hair and I was very happy with the new look. He charged me $30 bucks which was a straight cut and no wash. I got a card from him so that I could get an appointment next time. Great place.

I was seated with Angie, showed her an inspo picture and she gave me exactly what I wanted, a trim and quick style. After seeing the final results, due to my hair type she recommended trying a new style/cut and I was in the mood to try something new so she went out of her way to re-cut and style my hair. She showed me two styling options and was very patient even though she basically had to redo my hair. She said they also do pre-event styling so if you have an event where you want your hair to look a little nicer, you can schedule with them starting at $45+. But I left feeling confident and ready to go out even just with the cut I received In total we paid $65 for two haircuts (no washing, just trim and styling) which is a steal in my opinion! They also have a myriad of options for nail polish colors. I ended up selecting a gel nail polish, which at the time of writing this review, a month later, is still intact on my toe nails. (I know - I need another pedicure soon. lol) I will say the price was a little bit costly compared to other places I have been, however, that may be because we selected one of the highest packages. Either way, my mother enjoyed the shop and even upon leaving the guy at the register, welcomed us to come back by giving us a 10% off our next service coupon. However, looking at James' aka bandikablenz's portfolio, I was confident that he could get the job done right. When I arrived at Barberz Dreme, I was greeted by one of the barbers who inquired whether or not I had an appointment. I mentioned that I had an appointment with James and he pointed him out. While putting the finishing touches on another client's haircut, James acknowledged and let me know that he would be done in a few minutes. When it was my turn - James inquired about my style of choice, I showed him a photo of a past style, and he went to work. Throughout the experience we engaged in pleasant conversation and he did a great job of inquiring about certain styling details (i.e., whether I wanted my mustache to be slim or thick). Although there was a very good game between the Oklahoma Thunder and Phoenix Suns playing on a TV behind him; instead of pausing to watch the game, he would ask a fellow barber for updates. This was a testament to his desire to remain focused on the task at hand and ensure that he completed the cut in a timely manner, I truly appreciated this. Considering that this was my first time working with James, the haircut exceeded my expectations. When I entered our home, my wife did a full 3.14 (the circumference of a circle) to inspect my haircut. She gave me a look of approval and suggested that James should be my new barber.
