I love Razzoo's, it has always been my favorite restaurant but this location is very different. The servers were slow and inattentive, and the food runners kept getting our food orders mixed up with the table across from us. Then, what really ticked me off was the gross, unflavored food. I went to Razoo's today to purchase a $50 gift card as an anniversary gift for my parents. The hostess called a young man to help me. He asked the dollar amount I wanted and then went to the back to get the card or so I thought. He returned and told me that if I wanted a gift card for $50 or more then I needed to pay with cash. He said that they had a problem with people scamming them. I stood there for a moment trying to process this ridiculous piece of information. So am I to understand that everyone who is actually DINING there and spends over $50 must pay in cash too?! Or is this just a special way to discriminate against people who buy gift cards instead? Anytime a debit or credit card is used and the funds are not available, then the card is rejected so this policy is absolutely ridiculous. Needless to say, I will NOT be purchasing ANYTHING from this restaurant. I'm left with a very poor taste in my mouth and I haven't even tried the food. read more

This place is the bomb if you like happy hour and Cajun food. Monday to Fridays 4-7PM they have half price appetizers and half price swamp thangs, frozen margaritas and hurricanes. Chicken wings for 3.50 and a huge fruity drink for another 4 bucks and you're good to go. I go here almost every week either for happy hour after work or to get the Cajun Combo skillet. If you get the worm burner then be prepared for this to be your one and only drink for the night because it is strong with bacardi 151 but comes in a Styrofoam cup which I don't understand at all but your drinking the drink and not the cup. Visiting with family and they wanted to eat here. We were initially told that there would be a 45 minute wait. After waiting 55 minutes I asked how much longer it would be. The manager rudely responded that he could not ask people to get up. Which was clearly not an answer to my simple question. We did have a party of 6 but the proper response would have been to say we can seat you but we will have to split your party. I had the worst experience at this place last night. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. My family(mom, sister, my 2 children, and myself) went here last night for the dinner. We knew we would have and wait and that was to be expected, we signed in at 6:20pm and waited in our to be texted when the table would be ready. Around 8:40 my children needs to use the restroom so my mother took them in the restaurant to use their facilities. While she was in the restroom she received the text at 8:46pm stating our table was ready so she called my sister and I and we got out the car to go in. My sister walked in and maybe 10 seconds later I go to walk in and I was told there where not letting anyone else in that they were at capacity. I told the guy at the door who blocked my entrance that I was with the party of 5 that just walked in the door he kept making the same statement that they were at capacity and that I could talk to the manager. He called one of the managers(Devon) over who took 2 steps towards the door and said were not letting anyone else in were at capacity. I asked how are you at capacity when you just called to sit our party of 5 and only 4 people went in because I am the 5th person, he again states were not letting anyone else in. I call my family to tell them to come out because I can't come in, my mother comes out and we are both trying to explain the situation to one of the many managers(Bobby) that they had there last night and he was at least listening and knew something wasn't right our waitress(Jasmine) came out and was trying to explain that I was with her group. So he (Bobby)went in and talked to someone and told me I could come in and I really didn't want to at that point because I had been at the door for 5-10 minutes trying to explain the situation. He(Bobby) convinces me to come in and I do, I go in and sit with my family and wait for the waitress(Jasmine) to take our order, she takes our drink and appetizer order and apologizes for the situation. Upon returning with our drinks our waitress(Jasmine) tells us that she has been informed that she can serve everyone on the table except me because I wasn't originally seated at the same time, by this time I am furious and I tell my children we are leaving. I am visibly upset and stop at the hostess desk where I see a manager(Bobby) and I tell him the situation and I just needing manager names, he goes back to find out what is going on and tells us that we can come back in and be served which is a definite NO because the whole situation is crazy. It's almost 10 pm my family hasn't eaten and now we have to leave from here and find something to eat. I will never go to this restaurant again and will be taking steps to make sure that this never happens again. read more

This Razzoo's has good food however, there is a generic chain restaurant to the entrees that does not boast the Creole flavor one would expect. Regardless, a good stop if you are in the area and hungry. I got a platter that had a fried smorgasbord of goodies: gator, pickles, chicken, and fries. The only reason I gave 1star was because the food was good, as for the staff.. not at all!!! What happened to the good service from cute servers? We sat at the bar and the service was horrible. The bartenders had an attitude and who cares what the reason was and she look like the only time she care how she look is if she hitting the club(woke up like that my a**). Well it was my birthday celebration. I've only eaten at the Razoo location in Killeen, TX. Had a great experience there for my Aunt's birthday so thought would get the same here. We were treated horribly from the door until seated. And after sitting down we all got up and left because of the awful service. We had to wait for 2hours and 45 minutes and were treated with disrespect and as if they didn't need our money, Mind you there were 12 adults and 3 kids so we are talking at least $12 for each person plus tip because some of us have been wait staff before. I've been to a number of Razzoo's, and for the most part I've found them to be generally a nice place to get a meal. Not really cajun, but good nonetheless. This time it was different. We walked in with a party of four, and the restaurant was less than half full. Not crowded at all. We sat down, ordered an appetizer of fried pickles and drinks (ice tea), which all arrived quickly, and were quite good. Then we ordered our main course, and everything changed. The food was still fine, but the wait to get the food was unbelievable. We waited over a half hour, and then asked the waitress what the reason was for the delay. She went back to the kitchen, said our food was being made, and would there shortly. It took over ten minutes at that point for the food to finally arrive. Everything we ordered was something that would normally be served very quickly. If the restaurant had been packed and the kitchen overwhelmed, then it might have been understandable, but the restaurant wasn't anywhere vaguely close to full any of the time we were there, and they still couldn't get the food out in anything close to a reasonable time. If they'd just opened I might give it another try, but we've eaten at this location before, and it's been there a few years. No stars . My son took me to this Razzoo's today for Valentine's. Right away the manger brought me napkins and throw them on the table. I let that go,seeing he wasn't our sever. Our food came after 45minutes, and it was horrible. My son didn't eat his and called for the manger. Two rude mangers came one at a time and my son express his concern with his food. The manger says you will have to pay for it good or not or I will call the police, my son says call them. Six police and 3 renter cops came, while waiting for the police I payed the sever for my food, on my way out one of the officers say she didn't pay for her food , I had to call the sever to verify that I had paid. These are some of the rudest mangers I have every come across. One of the officers told my son this is the way this manger deal with complaints. They are called often. We notice that the customers was predominantly people of color. So you better not complain about the roach or rat in your food , pay or I'll call the police. Absolutely the Worst experience I've ever had in any restaurant EVER!!! I called in an order to this store and was told that my order would be ready in 15 to 20 min. I arrived exactly 20 minutes after I made the call and the waitress behind the bar informed me that my order had not been started yet. When I asked her why she directed me to her manager Terry. I asked Terry why my order hadn't been started yet and he said it was because I had not answered my phone when they called me back. I pulled out my phone and pulled up my call log and showed Terry that I had never received a call. He said well that's our policy and since we didn't confirm it with you that they wouldn't start making it until I arrived. I was there with my 13yr old son and 12yr old daughter so I asked Terry if he would give me and my kids an appetizer or something to snack on while we waited for our order. Terry then rudely/sarcastically said NO!!! I asked Terry "So there was nothing he was willing to do for us since we were going to have to wait for our order to be made?" He said NO and then said it won't take long we'll get right on it. I then asked Terry for his district managers name and contact info. Terry just replied with razzoos.com I then asked him a 2nd time so you're telling me that you can not give me the name of your boss. Terry then said more abruptly RAZZOOS.COM. At this point I admit I was getting annoyed so I told Terry that he was the most incompetent manager I'd ever met.( I acknowledge that I should not have made this comment but I do stand behind it). Terry then looked at the waitress and said cancel his order and then told me I'd have to leave. I looked at him and said seriously? He then motioned to the police officer on duty and said escort him out. I never raised my voice and never spoke or acted in a threatening manner nor did I use any obscene language. So at his request the officer escorted me and my kids out of the facility. I entered the store hungry and excited to get a meal for me and my family. I left feeling hungry, embarrassed, and insulted. All this was done in front of many customers and my 2 kids. They were confused and didn't know what was going on as well. I absolutely love the Razzoos restaurants and will continue to be a customer at every other store with the exception of this one until Terry is no longer there. All the other employees were very friendly and inviting but Terry brought shame and disgrace on this store tonight. I have left a message at Razzoos.com and will update this review when I am contacted by one of their representatives. I am in no way seeking any free meal or compensation but I would appreciate a sincere apology for the unnecessary event that occurred tonight. read more

Even at 9pm tgis is a jumpin ' place with great food and New Orleans ambiance. The combo was fantastic with just the right blend of New Orleans specialties. It could have fed 3 of us, but worked great as leftovers!! A little noisy, but lots of fun energy. Will definitely be back. read more

What started off as a nice birthday dinner ( even with the hour and half wait while other large parties were seated before us) ended with some very unhappy teachers. The food was good and God bless little Pedro's heart ( the high school student who waited on us) he got so confused and messed up several orders. But the worst part was the service we received from the manager Ty St. John , it was HORRIBLE to say the least. He lied to us,over charged us and then treated us as if he nor Razoo's Cedar Hill Uptown Plaza needed our business and completely ruined our dinner and my friend's birthday. Now I am not stickler for customer service giving my background in customer service but to tell a customer "It's not my job to make you happy" is customer service 101 and a HUGE NO NO in any field. Then I had several items on my receipt I did not order and he questioned me about who ordered them then? Well if I was keeping up with people orders I could put an apron and delivered the food too because we waited just as long for our food as we did to be seated and then everyone food did not come out at the same time. So need less to say I will be calling corporate Monday morning because a lot the issues could have been avoided if the manager would have just been upfront with prices of happy hour and what he was willing/able to do instead of telling us 2 different things and doing something totally different. After waiting an hour for a table to sit 10, which was understandable we asked for an additional seating for for. When we went to our table, we were told the added party had to wait an additional 30 min. There were several tables around us & we asked the manager why couldn't we use either of those tables? Apparently bc we questioned his manager skills he asked us to leave. Not once were we rude or loud. To make matters worse, he asked the Cedar Hill officer to escort us out & of course he gladly did. So now you can't have a professional conversation with management without getting escorted out by a cop? Definitely will NOT be back. Me and my girlfriend decided to stop for lunch after doing some near bye shopping. We were sat immediately and our drink order was taken by our waiter Ramsey. We ordered a water with lemon while we took our time to decide what we wanted to eat. Ramsey brought our waters out without lemons. Once Ramsey sat our waters down I mentioned I specifically asked for lemons with our water. He quickly made up some excuse that he would get them soon for us. Needless to say Ramsey was too busy flirting with 2 girls in the booth directly in front of us to entertain the thought of getting our lemons. Keep in mind Ramsey went back and fourth to the kitchen a minimum 3 times from the time he sat our water down for something for the girls at this table. We placed our food and drink order which came without error and was quite good. However the lack of customer service from Ramsey was quite defeating. Furthermore I relayed our concern to the Manager on Duty who listened to us but clearly took our concern in one ear and out the other and didn't even offer an apology. I'm so dissappointed!!!!!!! Being from Louisiana Razzoo's is one of my favorite places to eat. When my youth group from United Methodist Church of the Disciple decided to take our Youth Group to fellowship after church I was so excited. That was until we arrived 19 strong. 7 well dressed adults including our Pastor and 12 youth. There was no waiting and the place had lots of empty tables. The manager, Jason let us know that he didn't seat large groups on the weekend, but he would seat 16 of us. When the Pastor counted again she realized we actually had 19 paying members of her church there waiting. Jason got very upset and said we were causing him unnessary trouble. We suggested that we didn't all have to sit together and he responded that he made it a habit to not split large parties. When he stated that we didn't understand the problem he threatened to refuse to serve us. One parent was so upset she and her two daughters left and went home. When we told him we were only 16 he moved the tables and chairs and seated all of us immediatly. You may ask why did we stay and eat there? My answer would be that we used this as a teaching lesson to pray for those who have no tollerance for people who do not look just as they do. But next time, when we go to spend our money, we will find a place where they will treat us like we treat all who walk in the doors of our church. Monica G read more

My daughter and a few of her friends had the misfortune of visiting the Cedar Hill location on the evening of 10/24 at approx. 8pm. They were in a party of 16 teenagers and a parent. They were initially told that the party was too large to be seated as a whole but could be divided into two groups, 1 of 9 and the other 7. My daughter was in the party of 9 that was seated. The server took their drink order and they were waiting to place their food order when instead a Cedar Hill police officer and another individual with an apron who they weren't sure if he was a manager or just another server returned to the table. They were told by this person, who wasn't wearing a name tag, that they were unable to serve them and they had to leave the table. My daughter, who I've taught well how to handle these types of situations, asked why they were being asked to leave when they hadn't done anything but place drink orders. She was told that it was their option whether they wanted to serve them or not and that they had to leave immediately. They, being 14 year olds, had to wait for a ride before they could leave so they were waiting inside the doorway until the officer approached them again stating that they had to leave the premises and could not wait inside the building because it was private property. The parent who was present asked why this had all occurred and was not given any reasonable answer; stating that they were unable to accommodate them (a group that was already seated). My daughter likewise was not given any valid reason why they were asked to leave at all. They weren't disruptive, all had money to pay for anything that they ordered and were accompanied by an adult. If this is the type of service that patrons of any age receives it needs to be shared so that others can make a decision as to whether or not they want to patronize this establishment. I emailed corporate the evening of the incident and they have not responded to date. I have also contacted our city Mayor and a councilperson to make them aware of the situation as well. We are a city that accepts all individuals and endeavors to live harmoniously but this type of treatment flies in the face of this. I wish there was an option of zero stars!! This location needs to be exposed for their mistreatment of patrons no matter the age. read more

I've been to the Razzoo's in Arlington several times and enjoyed the service and food. After church service, my family and cousin's family decided to go to the Cedar Hill location, since it was closest to the church. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed w/the service and etiquette. Our ticket was split (2 adults and 2 teenagers for my ticket) and (2 adults, 1 teenager and 2 infants). We waited for 15 minutes to be seated during a time that was not crowded nor busy. At no time did the hostess or waitress inform us of any policy regarding party size, nor is it stated inside the restaurant or menu. After a few redo's on a couple of our plates, the food was delicious. The babies were in high chairs coloring and eating on a shared grilled cheese sandwich. When we got out checks, there was an 18% service charge that we inquired about and was informed that the infants were counted against the party quota and we were charged that b/c it was deemed a party of 9 or more...what restaurant counts infants and what restaurant does not have policies clearly stated?!!! They received an additional $20 from both tickets! When we disputed the charge, they called the frikkin' police! They policed checked our id's and said that they received a disturbance call and were told we refused to pay our bill which was NOT true! We disputed the service charge as the policy is not posted nor was it stated and was flabbergasted that a restaurant would count infants in the first place! I've never felt insulted nor embarrassed at any other place that I've dined at! NEVER AGAIN will I eat there! read more

I can't give this location any stars. But I have to give at least one. I attended a family function a this location about to 2 years ago. I ordered a drink and it came out tasting just like margarita mix. I told the waitress I didn't like it and asked for another one. The second drink came and it tasted exactly like the first one. I told the waitress I didn't want the drink and would like something different. I was told that it is against policy. I asked to speak to a manger. The manger was rude. Neither one of them apologized about the drink not being right nor did they offer any solutions. Fast forward to 7/19/2017. I was told that my name is on a do not serve list due to the incident. I had no idea this happened. The manger that I spoke to that night took my information and stated he will have the GM to contact me the next day. She didn't call. I ended up contacting her. She stated that she looked over what happened (Melanie Richie). And there is nothing she can do. She stated that once you're one the list you can't be removed. They told my cousin she was banned as well a couple months ago and removed her. But she said I can't be removed? I have been to several different locations and this is the only one I have had any problems at. They are unprofessional and don't care about the customers. Word to wise be careful of giving them your ID. I had no knowledge that they swiped my ID and banned me from this location. This hasn't ever happened to me. Bad business practices. I usually don't write reviews but due to the nature of my professional business practices I find it necessary to tell you about my experience. I had the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant at your cedar hill location. My family and I went to this location after my baby sister's high school graduation Friday, May 26. We arrived just before 10pm as a 12 top with a high chair. They informed us that they were no longer seating large parties and then they separated our group into three different sections. Once seated it took about 15 minutes for us to be greeted by our server. Once we explained that we were all one check but seated in different areas a large party was sat right in between us at the party table. I asked the server if I could speak to the manager and he said yes do you want to come with me to find her or do you want me to bring her to you. I was puzzled at first but replied please have her come to our table. At that point my mother came by from another table to see how we were settling in and I told her I asked to speak to the manager about the large party. She asked me not to so my sister grabbed the server as he was busy doing something else not getting the manager anyway and told him never mind. He then came back to our table and I asked if we could have the high chair we asked for. He informed me that due to the fire hazard we could not have a high chair at that particular table but he could bring me a booster. I told him my one year would not sit still in and booster and is likely to fall out while I'm trying to take a bite of my food. The server then replied with "I'm sorry, thats all we can do due to the fire hazard". At this point I am getting upset. I told our server that we notified the hostess we needed a high chair when we told them the number in our party. He again offered no solution but only an apology. I told him well since there is nothing that can be done I guess I will sit outside with my baby until my family has finished eating. He said ok and he said so I should take of the Dr. Pepper you wanted. I just walked out. My family continued to dine and I sat on the benches with my daughter at around 11 at night. I then went back inside to the bar so I could order my baby a milk. As I stood waiting for assistance a couple came in and order was taken for a to go order. I let the person taking the order that I was standing there waiting already for five minutes before they arrived. She said I am sorry I did not see you and continued to take their order. After putting their order in she walked to the hostess stand and went to seat a party. I then asked to speak to a manager again because I am being blatantly ignored. The manager Allison arrived and I am shaking almost in tears at this point because I cannot believe how I am being treated because I worked as a server when I was in college and I am just baffled at the entire situation. Once I explained to the manager Allison all that had occurred that evening she offered her apology once again and said she could get me that milk. I told her I no longer wanted anything from that establishment but the corporate number and the names of both employees I had to deal with. She said that the employee taking the to go orders was a hostess so she could not have taken my order. I said if that is the case why did she take an order right in front of me and when I informed her I was there before the guest she was helping she could have told me it would be a moment, someone would be right with me or anything but she didn't. She took one order so I assumed she would be able to take mine as well as I was the first person waiting to be helped and no one was at the hostess stand when I walked back in or I would have asked them where I needed to go to order a to go milk. Allison said I can give you my name and the corporate number but I cannot give you my employees names. First of all I am sure that is a lie as the server should have introduced himself when he greeted our table after 15 minutes. So I walked over to the hostess and asked her name and she said Alyssa. I am so disappointed in my experience there and I would like to speak to someone about the awful service this location is offering. I eat at the cooper location all the time and have never once experienced anything as horrible as this. I wasn't even offered another table when I pointed out the fact that we informed them we had a high chair and was still sat at a table where a high chair was not allowed to be. And she kept saying it would be another 45 minutes to a hour and one person needed to be there before they could seat us anywhere 2 minutes later the rest of our party walked and they still wouldnt seat us...the wait started at 8 pm and we finally were seated at 10 something and the bad part about they weren't even crowded...but before we were seated there was a closed off space in the restaurant where people normally sit that we suggested to them they refuse to let us use it instead they made us wait two hours to be seated I had been calling all day to let them know we were coming and all I got was attitude ,I am black and i have to say I was truly embarrassed because the whole staff was black they all had attitudes the whole waiting staff was horrible,manager,the hostess was the worst...I will never eat here again,what kind of restaurant tries to turn away a party of 15 thats money that could be in yalls pockets you can go a good part of town and the see 15 people the will find anyway to accommodate them...but not here these people where ghetto and rachett I like razzoo's and so does my fiancé but we will be going down hwy 75 from now own if we want Razzoos read more
