I would do 3.5 stars if that was an option. I eat here often and usually get the Cajun Combo Skillet. I recommend it but not for ppl ordering to go who also hate their food to touch. Especially don't order it through delivery cause you'll end up with a big plate of food all mixed in together. Pickup is better but again your food will be mixed in to a degree. The purpose for this review is really the newly added chargrilled / charbroiled oysters. I'm from N O. born and raised and there's one dish I drive/fly home for just to taste and it's these. Seeing them on the menu had me bucked up. Especially a dozen under $20. They were tasty (I ordered them well done) but I have a few complaints still. I ordered this to go and I know to check my plates nowadays. Glad I did because out of 12 shells 2 of them were completely empty. Nada. Zilch. Not that they fell off and were at the bottom of the box. They literally put 2 empty shells in my box. Ofc I told the cashier and now had to wait on 2 oysters. When they were delivered to me it was the pre-prepped oysters. Meaning the cheese wasn't melted just sprinkled on top. I didn't want to wait longer so I accepted them that way but pretty disappointed in the quality and service at this point. My other complaint is the size of the oysters. Out of 12, only 5 were decent size. The rest were the size of my thumbnail, no joke, and also didn't have cheese on them at all. Just a small lil oyster on a naked shell. I gave 3 stars cause the ones that were done right were tasty enough for me to get my fix and not schedule a trip home. If you crave these I say eat in house and you might be okay. For $17 compared to $30 back home I'll more than likely order again. If they try to go up on the price, prolly not. read more

We were hoping for a nice night to dinner with family and friends. Instead we were refused service. Several hours prior to our arrival, we tried to make a reservation for a large party and were told we could instead call ahead, but never told they would not serve parties over 15. And it was unfortunate that after we arrived, we were informed that they will not seat us even after we were more than happy to split our party into smaller groups. When I asked if they preferred us to leave and not eat there at all I was told yes. They really missed out on a great group full of awesome tippers. read more

I think the only reason to come here would be for the drinks they are very good at a decent price, the food was alright I think the amount of salt was what ruined it for me it was incredibly salty other than that the food wasn't too bad. Deep, balanced flavors, hints of heat throughout, tender shrimp, crawfish, and andouille. I got the Cajun Combo Skillet. Red beans: I could eat a vat. Flavored with pork, just fyi for non-meat eaters. Shrimp Creole was my least favorite in the line uo, very tomato-forward, but tender and tasty jumbo shrimp. Etoufee was classic flavor wise, good roux. Garlic French bread butteriness compliments Cajun spices well. Could have been toasted further to withstand sauces. Cleaned the entire skillet though you could easily have enough for left overs. Great shareable dish. Nola Tea: I could drink this like water. Delicious take on a Long Island. Generous portion. I was standing there with my mom for 10 minutes waiting to be seated before someone behind me spoke to staff about the wait. There shouldn't have been a wait because the restaurant was at 1/3 capacity. The man took us to a table that wasn't ready when there were plenty that were clean. Our waiter was nice enough but was so forgetful. He didn't remember taking our order, or the extras we asked for, or that he had already brought us our check. The food was not good. Not disgusting by any means but I'm always weary of restaurants that bring out your food quickly after placing an order. It makes me feel like I'm at a fast food joint; as if they took no time to actually cook the food. My dirty rice was warm as if someone had put it in the microwave for a few seconds or grabbed it out of a warming tub. Also, I will bet money that the dirty rice is made from a box. I truly enjoyed the service I received at Razzoos Cajun Café in Cedar Hill Texas. I am new to the area and when I seen there was a Razzoo's's near me. I wanted to go there for Sunday dinner. I truly love oysters in any form so we ordered, a full order of grilled oysters. Some oysters were very salty. Others were seasoned just right, so whoever was in the kitchen was a little bit too heavy on the salt covering the oysters. The fried chicken and green beans was great. We both had a frozen drink. We also ended up getting one more order of oysters, and that order of oysters was better than the first, I will definitely be back especially because this restaurant is in my area and they have a great happy hour. I did order wrapped toes, but when I bent into them, there was no stuffing so I spoke with the manager and he took them back. He was very polite. I was very disappointed in our visit to the restaurant. The literal only good thing was the crawfish fondue. I ordered the gator tail basket and I probably would have gotten more meat had I ordered the popcorn shrimp. Each piece was mostly breading. Also my red beans and rice had zero beans. Beans are good for the heart. My mom in law got the catfish basket and the pieces were small and the coleslaw was hot. Hot coleslaw is the worst. She also ordered sweet n low for her tea, they brought her Splenda and then after she used the splenda they brought her sweet n low. She also ordered regular fries but was served seasoned fries. I placed a ToGo order of the shrimp/catfish dinner with 6 pounds of crawfish. When I picked up the order, everyone was very pleasant. However, after tasting the firemouth crawfish, I was not pleased at all. The crawfish seemed reboiled or that the crawfish may not have been fresh when they were originally cooked. In addition, I've had Razzoos firemouth quite a few time at the Richardson location and the ones given to me at the cedar hill location just wasn't that flavorful. The spice was spotty. (Really? She forgot to wear her employee designated work shirt?) Okay now we wait, for the waitress and the family. More time for me to decide on appetizers. Then I see my kids parking in the parking lot! Woo-hoo it's all good now. ~ Second warning, the server advised us it was going to take longer then anticipated, because our waitress had to go home and iron her shirt! (WTH?) Not only was he in his designated work attire, (LOL) but he was genuinely happy, all smiles and very attentive. We love golf, and my son in law asked if the TV's could be turned to The Masters at Augusta Nationals. Kyran handled this like a champ. The appetizers arrived, the food and drinks flowed. We arrived on a weekday afternoon so it wasn't very crowded. We were greeted promptly and seated by a lovely young lady. Our waitress was equally as pleasant with an engaging smile. She told us the specials and offered numerous suggestions as to what we should order. You could tell that she liked her job AND knew the product she was selling. I love gumbo so I ordered it as an appetizer. The waitress warned me that it might be to my liking as the roux was a bit darker then usual but I enjoyed it tremendously. The gumbo was delicious. We also ordered fried alligator and fried pickles for the table. The alligator was good and my mom said the friend pickles were as well. For the main course I had the fried catfish which was served with fries, hush puppies and seasoned corn on the cob. Everything was pretty good. The catfish was decent but it wasn't outstanding or anything. I'd say the flavoring was minimal but still enjoyable with hot sauce. I didn't really care for the seasoning sprinkled on top of the corn but it wasn't so off putting that I couldn't eat it. The portion size was fairly large for a lunch portion so you definitely get your money's worth. Overall, everyone dining with me (3 others) enjoyed the experience immensely. If you haven't been to a Razzoo's it's covered in crazy decor, bright colors, lights, pictures and all kinds of crazy nick knacks. My waitress at first was not very pleasant, she was very serious and made us feel like she didn't care to attend to us let alone be at work. It made me want to get up and walk out, but we were starving. She eventually started to smile. I never order burgers when I'm at a seafood place but for some reason I wanted the burgers they make and I will say they were amazing surprisingly great. Went in took about 10 minute to find somebody to hand me my order. Once I told them the drink was missing they apologized and went to help other people. The manager was called and she took our drink order. Our waitress stopped by shortly and took our food order. I was disappointed in the initial service but after that point our service was great. The waitress was attentive and our food was quick. We ordered a Fried Shrimp and Catfish basket & a Tricky Fish Both very delicious! Tables were separated with at least 6ft distance, employees wore masks and some even gloves. I witnessed a few tables being cleaned and it eased my fears. They were being sanitizer correctly and in a timely manner. Other than the wait time to be attended, I had a good experience here. The service can improve, but the food makes up for it. read more
