We have been going to this location since it opened. As the years have gone by the service continues to get worse. My family went here for lunch Easter Sunday. We had a party of 11. Should also mention the last time we had been here was August of 2022. Had bad service and hadn't been back. Because we liked it so much before, we decided time had passed and we would give it another try...ugh! Because of the size of our party we were advised that there would be an automatic 18% gratuity. Absolutely fine as we usually tip more than that anyway. We ordered our drinks and our food and everything did manage to come out in a timely manner. Three of us had pasta, dishes, and two out of the three had hard pieces of pasta in the food. Our waitress seem to be a bit scattered and unable to keep things straight. Anytime we had to ask for something it took forever to get it and refills only happened when we asked for it. I also want to note that we were in the separate side room, and although there was a larger party in there when we got there, they ended up leaving and we were her only group. Once it was time for checks, she couldn't remember who was on what check and what each person had to drink. All soft drinks. Once that was finally figured out and we had all paid my sister in law said "I think we should mark this place off our list." I agreed! Basically we did not add any additional tip besides the 18% required. Because we were going out separate ways we stood outside for a bit so my husband excused himself to use the restroom. When he went inside he saw the waitress complaining about her tip. i'm sorry, but we are usually excellent tippers. However, it just simply was not earned. If we have to keep hunting down the waitress for things that we need and then waiting forever to get those things when we're her only group, it just wasn't warranted. read more

The stars were for the service as our waiter and was really nice but the food was unacceptable. The mango tea had no taste whatsoever. We asked for another to be made and it taste the exact same way. Eventually we just asked for it to be removed and didn't drink anything. I ordered a fried combo with shrimp and catfish. I had about 8 fries on my plate, the fish wasn't extra crispy as asked and we ended up leaving and packing our food to go but when I got home, one piece of my fish was completely undercooked to the point it was still slimy and translucent. Cooked fish should be white and flaky. I literally paid $18.00 for 4 shrimp since the finish was inedible. Probably won't be back. Razzoo's in Stafford used to be a favorite but it has went down hill as well. This was my first and last time at the Pasadena location. read more

What is a Razzoo, you ask? The menu explains... you might be a Razzoo if you think "Classical Music" is Willie & Waylon's early years. Ha! That's us. It's no wonder we enjoyed our experience here! Razzoo's is great atmosphere and very family friendly. We arrived on a Saturday night, expected a 30 minute wait, but our party of 5 was seated in 10 minutes even with a full house. The New Orleans/Cajun vibe with Mardi Gras beads & Southern decor is fun for all ages. Service was excellent and the food was great. We came for lite bites after a late lunch. The family enjoyed the fried catfish & gator. I ordered the shrimp salad lettuce wraps. We didn't explore much of the menu but were pleased with what we selected. They have several drink specials - including the popular Swamp Thing. It's a frozen margarita and hurricane combined. Yum! Yep, had to have one. Out of all the restaurants that have recently opened up in this area, Razzoo's is the top spot! We look forward to returning soon. read more

Would not recommend this food to anyone searching for authentic Cajun food. Food overall was a big disappointment for someone living in south Louisiana. The sauce for the shrimp creole taste like canned ragu sauce with shrimp cooked in it over rice. Sad and disappointed. Gumbo was maybe the worst restaurant Gumbo I've ever had. read more

3 stars because our waitress was everything and the drinks were GREAT. HOWEVER! I ordered the catfish and shrimp platter and to my surprise, the catfish was not catfish. It was swai! I immediately demanded that they remove my plate. This is false advertisement. Please pay attention to what you're eating. I'm finding that the catfish, swai switch and bait is a common thing down south. But they have the wrong one. Im a foodie so I know what I'm eating. When we arrived, the place was virtually empty. The hostess said, "It'll be a few minutes, we are REALLY busy." My grand son said, "Are we in the same restaurant as her?" There were empty tables and booths everywhere and probably 20 people in the entite place! Food was great, but certainly not a "dinner" portion size. My grandson and I shared the 12 piece grilled shrimp plate. The shrimp were not much bigger than popcorn shrimp. The hushpuppies were the size of a small cherry tomato, and maybe 15 fries at most. The corn was good, came with 2, and since we were sharing, we ordered an extra one. We ordered an ala carte blackened talopia. We expected 2, especially for the price and size. Nope. One tiny piece of fish. There were no salt and pepper shakers om the table, and we were told they stopped using them during the Covid epedimic and never put them back. THAT WAS 2020!!!! This is a two part review and the first part is actually the good part of the review. My family decided last minute that we were going to get together for thanksgiving so we ordered a Cajun fried turkey from razzoo's and I was a little hesitant but we did it anyways. It was a huge turkey and they gave us detailed instructions on how to heat it accurately. This turkey was absolutely amazing and I am not much for turkey because it is usually dry but my goodness this turkey had the most juicy and flavorful breast meat. I highly recommend anyone who cannot cook a fresh turkey to give it a shot . Now here comes the bad part of this review. I was so disappointed I didn't even take pictures of my food but we were so thrilled with the turkey that I took my family out to razzoos to dine-in and eat there. It was a terrible mistake. My wife and I got Po-Boys and they were Lukewarm with cold fries and hush puppies. My dads pasta had some questionable chicken and my moms blackened tilapia was the only decent thing. I will admit the watermelon mint Fresca was amazing and refreshing. The service was also great at this establishment and everyone was nice but the food was just not good at all. Fried seafood platter: Catfish was OK. Corn was not what I was hoping for. Fried crawfish bites were THE BEST part of the platter. The shrimp was a little tough, not crunchy but stale. Being from Mississippi, my seafood/creole food meter is set pretty high. Razzoo's is good but not the best I've ever had. I also judge these places based on their tarter sauce -- which was A1, I might add. The hush puppies were too spicy. Hush puppies don't need spice, it seems unnecessary. After 2 decades in Louisiana I can say that Razzoos is authentic and good which is very rare for any restaurant outside of Louisiana. Gumbo was great (a little salty). Red beans and rice were done correctly with good sausage (a little gristle, but I'm a perfectionist). Étouffée was one of my favorites. Shrimp in everything was fresh. Green beans were the right type and done correctly in a lovely sauce. Overall food has a good spice or heat level, definitely cajun but didn't burn you up - very similar to nice restaurants in Louisiana. I had some frustrations with delays but management resolved far beyond my expectations and turned a bad situation into a happy experience with good service. (Original review is from a visit on 04/27/19) First off, the bartender and waitress we had were amazing! That's not why it's a 3 star review. My review is because of how unprofessional the manger was and how dismissive the general manager was on our visit. My wife and I ordered drinks, her drink came out, and she just so happened to be looking towards the serving window and saw who we learned was the manager taking a drink out of my drink! What's more, she saw that my wife saw her and she looked like a deer in headlights and pulled her straw out of my drink. We could see the bartender and waitress saying that they weren't going to serve the drink. We asked the waitress if there was someone we could speak to, so she got the the GM who just happened to be there. He came to our table and he listened, to which he replied that it's weird that she did that because she doesn't even drink! So we ate and headed out. I don't think I'll ever go back to that place, and it's not because of the waitress or the bartender. Update (5/22/19) So Razzoo's asked that I contact them through their website. I did, that same day. I'm still waiting for a response. At this point, I really don't know what it accomplishes by disregarding people and making it seem like management doesn't make mistakes. I went with a couple of girlfriends last night to Razzoos. We got there at 6:30 on a Saturday, fully expecting to have to wait for a table, but were seated immediately. My SIL and I shared the fishbowl. It was really good, but neither one of us felt any effects of alcohol, so I don't know what they put in their fruit punch. I ordered the cajun combo skillet and it was really good. Shrimp creole over white rice, crawfish etouffee over dirty rice, red beans, andouille sausage, corn and garlic bread. All very tasty, but my fave was the red beans. I added the rice from underneath my shrimp creole to it. I'd order it again. First visit here. Nice atmosphere and decor. Great attitudes in every one we encountered, including the manager who came around checking in on guests. Wonderful appetizers! Started out with the honey pups and rat toes, yummy! My entré was the blackened catfish with dirty rice, garlic bread and green beans. The catfish was good but I personally did not like the butter sauce and it was my fault. My intention was to order it with the jalapeño cheese sauce and I forgot. The rice had a good taste to it. All in all it was good but temperature wise it was not hot. Hubby had fried catfish basket that consisted of 3 fillets, fries, and coleslaw and more honey pups. I think he enjoyed it because he ate all his. The sweet tea was wonderful. Not many places have good sweet tea. I also ordered the cheesecake. Yummy! Don't forget to try it. Devin was very attentive to our needs. He explained the menu and best appetizers upon greeting us. Will try again but I do prefer my food hotter then it was served. We went here for Father's Day, and then my dads birthday both in the same week! Food is awesome. The fried catfish is so good. The first day we came here (Father's Day) service was excellent, we got the gigantic fish bowl drink which was pretty awesome but he warned you need to stir it because all the alcohol was at the top with ours. Second time the food was still awesome but our waitress was just SO. SLOW. It was even way less busy than last time so, no idea what she had going on that was so important. We seriously spent so long sitting just waiting for the check, I was almost scared to ask for anything since I knew I'd get it 15 mins later. The other thing that happened that was actually pretty funny was my dad asking for more cocktail sauce and we waited so long we grabbed another waiter and while we were waiting on the other waiter our waitress checked on us and remembered the cocktail sauce and then we ended up with like 6 things of cocktail sauce from all the confusion, it was hilarious. This place was a bit disappointing for me. I had the shrimp and grits. The grits were bland even with the cheese in it. The shrimps on top were cooked really well though. Plump and full of flavor. My wife had the jambalaya which was too dry and stronger rue taste than usual. She had a side of gumbo too. My boss and her had stomach issues afterwards as they ordered the same thing. For a new place, freshly opened, I was impressed! I'm a HUGE sweet tea fan and theirs was great. That was only the beginning of awesome. Started off with the boudin balls with zesty dip. These balls were spicy! I love spicy, but for the softer palette, maybe a wee much. I thought they were great, and i'm a big Boudin fan! Flavorful!! Hot and fresh was a trending occurrence with what we all ordered. I had the Seafood Combo Platter with Crawfish tails, Fried Shrimp, and Catfish fillets. The platter is accommodated with french fries, hushpuppies, and either corn or coleslaw. All three features were tasty, fresh, and hot! Coleslaw 5 out of 5.- I love a good tangy creamy coleslaw. This was perfection for me! French Fries- cajun spice, hot- (hard to mess up FFs unless they're cold or soggy) - these were neither. Hushpuppies- 5 out of 5! - Love a hushpuppy with some depth to it! These were definitely that! Tasty and not your standard simple corn meal pup. They had some spice or something I couldn't pinpoint. As well as my own entree, I got to try my companies as well. Seafood Gumbo- pretty good! The guest who received, was thoroughly happy with it and no complaints of anything lacking. I myself was relatively impressed. Another dish I got to experience some samples of, is the Cajun combo skillet. She didn't come up off of any Andouille, so I am guessing it was good. I did try the Shrimp Creole and the Etoufee. Both had good flavors, though, one more so then the other. The smokey flavor of the etoufee was yummy! The creole was so so. Other than that, service was so-so. I felt like there was an off in the clouds approach to it. What I mean when I say that is, I had to request everything. Such as, a refill on my tea. Clearly, it's empty, as you quickly ask if we need anything and attempt to briskly walk off. =-/ Whoa, Nelly gal, are you working or running, because, you try to go quicker than anyone can get a word out. The service was the only downside and even then, it wasn't major enough for me to discount this place any stars. I will most definitely be back! New restaurant that I've been looking forward to eating at since they opened but I never have time. I stopped by and got a Togo order. Being from New Orleans and growing up on Cajun food I was really look forward to this. I'm not sure why the stereo type of Cajun food is nothing but heat but that's and the name of the food is where Cajun/ Croele ended. I ordered 2 of my all time favorites and I was hopping it be amazing but sadly it was a big fail. The boudin balls I'm I'm not sure what's inside them But it's not a normal boudin. Boudin is not red, I can't figure out the flavor but it's like cheddar or something. Not a fan of them at all. My main meal I got my hands down favorite meal of all times, blackened shrimp and grits. Not saying it's bad but it's not even in my top 50 best I've had. The grits or just plan grits, missed the ball on that one. It would be 100x better if it were cream cheese grits or some flavor. This is a new location. Pretty good. Great size, and the service here was pretty good. The food came out fresh and had a good flavor to it. I was too busy stuffing my face so excuse my photos lol. But I enjoyed the fresh seafood. It was fried great, no fishy smell. Restaurant was clean, service was great. No complaints! The drink I had was a mixture of the house margarita and the hurricane. It was very sweet, a bit too sweet for my liking but good mixture. The waiter did warn me the drink may be sweet because others were stating the same thing.
