    Cajun Fondue with shrimp
    Elizabeth G.

First of the service was great. Fast, attentive and friendly 5-5 stars. The atmosphere is fun, very southern swamp Cajun vibe. 5-5 We had a cocktail and one of their all day sips and the Cajun fondue. Fondue was very bland, served with bread when I think chips are a much better choice. Was definitely disappointed. 3-5 stars. Price was appropriate. Cocktails are around 10-11 dollars and the appetizer was I believe $11? Not disappointed but, not impressed. 4-5 stars. Not a bad stop but, considering the area and other places to try won't likely be back.

I have left a review for Razzoo's before, but this review is a shout out to the bar. Although we have been here for dinner, we enjoy going to restaurants for just drinks and appetizers, have done so a few times now at Razzoo's. Have had the pleasure of Danielle waiting on us and mixing our drinks all three times. The drinks are on the stronger side (a few of the drinks are a two limit cocktail), which makes me feel better paying for them. But more importantly, you taste great. I have had the Magnolia Sunrise Tea, The Worm Burner, and the Bloody Voodoo Mary. All of which I recommend trying. Give Razzoo's a try, but for sure, stop by for an afternoon of appetizers and drinks.

5 stars in the context of it being a regional chain. Tasty food, great outdoor bar setup, and they took COVID precautions seriously during the pandemic.

Prices were pretty high but they also had huge portions. Cajun pasta and fried pickles were both great!

Every time I go to Razoos the food is great. They have the best catfish that I have eaten. The service is also good.

My friend and my girlfriend both ordered their espresso martini that my friend claimed was the best espresso martini in town, while I got the bartender's recommendation of the Animal Style, a pineapple and jalapeño infused tequila with strawberries, cardamom bitters, and a lemon peel garnish. Normally, I hate any drink that is spicy. I cannot stand a Bloody Mary because I don't believe drinks should be allowed to be spicy, but this one, for having jalapeño, is not spicy at all. If anything, it's slightly savory with its tropical flavor. The bartender was great. They have appetizers and tapas as well and as my girlfriend sat down, she really wanted just one of their fresh oysters. I ordered her just one to try and it was $4.25. They gave us the smallest one they could find. The tiniest oyster of all time. I guess size really didn't matter because according to her it was very good. I would go back and have a few more cocktails, but it is a nice place to hang out on the square on a Friday night. A good time to be had by all. RIYL: The finest, most $15ish cocktail you can find.

They get overwhelmed quickly. We have been several times and it is always like this if there is more than 6 people in the restaurant. They only have one guy doing food and two bar tenders. We like to order a mix of oysters They have available and then do another dozen of our favorites. We end up waiting an hour+ between when we get the first set and get the second set. Restaurant is cute on the inside and the cocktails are good.

Paige did a great job as our waitress. They had complimentary valet parking, which was a very nice touch. What I was unimpressed with was the set up for a buffet. Logistically the flow was a nightmare to get to and from the buffet, and my opinion is it would be better if they just stuck to having people order off a menu, and no more buffets. The food was mediocre at best (and prime rib is one of my favorites), the Mac n cheese heating station was inadequate for heating, and the fruit display/dessert table was set up in a totally different room where the guests were dining. Too crowded! They had put out the cheesecake early and it was eventually soggy and runny and there was no sauce for the bread pudding which had gotten hard and tasted old. They had a lady playing the piano, which would have been lovely if they hadn't also been playing their play list overhead, competing with the piano. I ordered a Bloody Mary, which was so salty I was unable to drink it. I didn't eat any of the breakfast items that were available, but my husband enjoyed some of them. I am not usually one to complain at a restaurant, but I'm hopeful that my comments will be helpful since this was their first attempt at a buffet.

I can't count the number of times that I've been, since I first tried the place in 2008 or 2009 (after moving to Tyler from the west coast). Bernard is almost always on hand to keep an eye on his "baby" and I've never had a bad dinner here. (Their lunch menu is a little light on choices, and I'm not a fan of the salad dressing used on the salads at lunch, but it's still a great place to take a client for lunch). Their dinner service is really where they shine though. The food is amazing, the ambiance is perfect for an intimate meal, and they always have amazing specials! (My favorite is when they have lamb... it is simply the best. My husband loves their seafood, but they do EVERYTHING well, and the bread and olive tapinade is so good that it's hard not to fill up on it while waiting for your food.) If you're adventurous, I'd suggest the escargot (after my husband tried it once, he now orders it every time we come here). If you simply want a decadent appetizer, the baked brie is wonderful. They also do a really good French onion soup. I really don't have anything bad that I can say about Bernard's, other than I wish it was open on Mondays.
