Shop has parts, and all types of RCs for your taste; boats, planes, cars, and trucks. David was helpful in getting the RC that I wanted. He supplied me with batteries and charger. It was a great value in that all the things I needed were at this shop. Transaction was smooth. No issues. David even assisted me in getting my RC and supplies into my vehicle. They are the best for repairing my Traxxas cars. They have most the parts and cars or can get them.

After hundreds of dollars in repairs and parts spent at this shop this review has been long over due. First off this shop has all there parts and Rc parts, cars, and accessories marked up double the price of any hobby shop I've been too which is really a rip off. I have had my cars repaired by them several times and have been a customer here for a while and all I can say is Wow they really don't listen when you drop off the car for repair. Recently dropped off my Kraton 8s and I simply told the mechanic to put the differential in and install it for me. I call them a week later and they explain that my center diff had exploded and that was the issue. So they fix everything up and I pick up the car. I had noticed that they used 1 million oil in my center diff instead of the stock 20 million weight oil. I always specified to the mechanic to put all the oil to stock and I tell them everytime obviously they have a big listening issue. So I call them up a few days ago and told Ryan the car doesn't run right with that oil mind you I have spent $165 on this repair yet they don't listen and they fix the car the way they think is right instead of listening to the customer. So Ryan tells me on the phone in a rude tone that there's people in the store when I proceed to ask him in a nice way if they could put the right oil in my car without charge as I already paid once for a job that should of been done right the first time . I have spent countless trips to this shop because they don't listen and don't actually fix the car they just say they do. This has happened I repeat countless times. Ryan is very rude and has so much issues that he can't talk to customers with respect dude really doesn't know anything about Rc. DONT GO TO THIS SHOP FOR REPAIRS. There labor prices are outrageous and they don't know how to fix any Rc. I unfortunately learned that the hard way. As for the staff Ryan is arrogant and extremely impatient he really thinks he knows it all. The mechanic David is really a joke anything you tell him to do on the car he never listens it's like talking to the wall anytime I've picked up the car after he's repaired it none of it is adjusted in the way that I had asked. How the owner lets these 2 clowns run this shop is beyond me. seriously wasting my time driving up here everytime very disappointing that shops like this make the hobby very difficult for people and act in the way they do. *** GREAT LOCAL HOBBY SHOP *** They have a great selection of Arrma and Traxxas cars and trucks. They also stock many of the Arrma and Traxxas parts to support your bashing habit. During my time there there were many folks coming from nearby El Nido park looking for replacements parts and upgrades. They are probably the largest Kyoshi Mini Z dealer in the area. They have many Mini Z AWD and Mini Z RWD RTRs in stock. They appear to be the only authorized PN Racing dealer in the South Bay. They have a Mini Z track available for use for $6/day. They have Mini Z racing every other Saturday. They even have locals that are there willing to help out. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly. read more

I recently took my son for our first RC purchase. We had an awesome experience and James was very helpful and a wealth of knowledge! Had it not been for me calling to ask about a price match I would have rated 5 stars. Which brings me to the real reason I am posting a review anyway... I saw on RCSS website that they do price matching. I also saw the Traxxas website with the same product I purchased 2 of at a sale price. The gentleman I first spoke to was very nice as he asked his counterpart and myself a few questions for information. Then someone else got on the line. The answer I was given was quite interesting... I was told that when the shop purchased the products, they were purchased at the "full price" and that Traxxas is "probably trying to blow out their Christmas inventory." However, since the shop purchased them at "full price," they could not adjust the price for me. I used to work in retail and I do know that some manufacturers fix their retail prices and rarely offer them at sale prices. I have never heard of a store having to pay retail price for products that they cannot markup for profit. I understand I am new to RC along with my son, but this just does not make sense to me. If I am wrong, I am wrong. However, the 1st gentleman I was speaking with was about to tell me what he can do before given what seems to me as an excuse to try and steer me away from a price match. I would have been cool and given 5 stars with almost any alternative options such as a partial match and probably even a simple NO we don't price match. Please don't think your customers are not aware of how normal retail works. Again, if I am wrong and you don't make money on any of the cars, so be it. I apologize and wish you the best of luck in business and shall continue to patronize your shops with whatever you do make money on. If what I think happened the way I explained above, I really hope whomever gave me that answer understands how customer satisfaction works as I shall take my business elsewhere and tell anyone else I know that are looking to buy to go elsewhere as well. read more

I called they answered, they charged over the phone for one simple question. Anything needs fixing we diagnose, then repair.? It only has one symptom. They need to figure it out..? You don't have a shop by helping people with a simple answer, you help your business by keeping easy information for yourselves.. 4 stars.? Sure thing. Value customers or value dollars.. These are today's practices for toys. Sad. I'm loaded, so I'll take my new hobby and money else where. Help first, then money sounds good to me. Definitely not the other way around. Went in for a problem with my RC and the guys there didn't seem to know everything about RC's. While repairing the RC one of the guys lost a screw and blamed me. It turns out it was in the RC trapped in the center differential mount. The guys there tease each other, name call, and make fun of each other all the time. But they did identify the problem (receiver was toast) and offered to replace it for $50. Plus they are awesome over the phone. Before heading to the shop I always call and ask if they have the part I'm looking for, and they answer any questions too. When I was new to one employee thoroughly explained the importance of balance charging and how it works. When I said I didn't use a balance charger some other guy seemed upset and gave me scolding look. And the batteries and chargers and so overpriced there. They're like $70 more than market price. But it doesn't matter, I just buy them else where online. read more

My personal experience here iin the past years overall good or I can say has been great until today. 12/30/2023 .......Ive spent thousands of dollars here and never have I had an issue borrowing a tool not overnight but just for 5 mins for a tool that costs 10 dollars that I had forgotten to bring with me today. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. There's also a mini-z track in the shop that holds weekly races and is open for practice during regular hours. I'm not sure how they stay in business. They over charge for everything, and if you have a mini Z and want track time (even 30 minutes) they force you to pay for the entire day. I was actually there and watched a couple guys running laps and I kinda got hooked so I was actually going to have the guy set me up with everything I needed to start until I asked about the track time. I'm in the area twice a week for businesss and I wanted to just drop in for 30 minutes or so to take a break but he said I still had to pay $20. Needless to say, I walked out without a new mini Z and all the stuff to run it. That was the last straw after having been over charged every time in there. I haven't been back since. Pacific Coast Hobbies is the way to go and they're not far from these people. read more

I've been out of the hobby for over 10 years so I had plenty of questions when I first went to visit. I told them what I was looking for and a few different RCs I was interested in. They were able to answer all my questions and helped me out with choosing the right RC for me. I don't regret my purchase at all, I love my new Arrma Kraton 6s! I haven't had my truggy for a month yet and I already want to buy another one lol!! I've been to both of their locations and all of their employees are friendly and knowledgeable.
