VERY DISSAPOINTED IN BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES! Bought a very expensive bed set missing parts when delivered. Was promised that I would get the parts and never got them. Called store to ask about it and promised a second time they would mail them to me never got them. Bought a very expensive couch set and the couch fell apart at the seems 3 times in the short amount of time I have owned it. Just was called today and told I was past due on my account by 25 bucks so I asked how much I owed just to pay it off and was told 1350 which I thought I only owed like 800-900ish on it and was told since the Interest free period was over they are charging me all the interest since day one. I paid it off completely and will never do business here again. Small print gotcha sales tactics with poor quality and horrible customer service. Telling everyone I know to stay away! I had a great experience with RC Willey. I saw from the local TV commercials it was the go-to furniture place in Reno so I figured I'd check it out when I needed a couch. I appreciated the they had their inventory online, it always makes it easier to make a difficult choice when you have some time to think about it. Of course, when I finally made the long drive out to RC Willey the grey velvet couch I'd been mooning over online for several months actually didn't look as expected. So I wandered around the massive store sitting on all the other couches like Goldilocks in the three bear's house until I fell in love. And love at first sight it was! The green velvet couch I finally settled on was my absolute ultimate dream couch. Of course, when we came back to purchase it I couldn't find it! After wandering lost and confused for awhile as it's a huge place I finally got up the guts to ask a salesman where the green couch was. The courteous yet not overbearing salesman knew exactly the model and obscure location. I was thrilled. Luckily, it was in stock and deliverable in an unbelievable few days. Awesome. I didn't get the promised delivery email, my one complaint. But no big deal, they let an auto recorded message of the delivery window. When the guys showed up, they were quick, efficient, non-chatty as I prefer and set the gorgeous couch down exactly where I wanted it. Great place, great selection, great service. RC Willey, is great on customer service, I have purchased a number of different items for various home projects I have worked on. If anything gets damaged in delivery or shipping they immediately solve the problem. I've been shopping at RC Willey for quite sometime. I furnished my whole house in Las Vegas with them. I find both their selection and prices to be good. In regards to delivery, you pay only one time a year and get unlimited deliveries for the remainder. The place can get rather busy on the weekends, so I try to visit them during the week. There always seems to be plenty of sales people standing around to assist, but none too push. I highly recommend this place for all your home furnishing needs. read more

We were told and it was noted on our order under instructions that 2 chairs we ordered would arrive the 2nd week of September. Today is October 8th, 2020 and we still do not have chairs. Below is a timeline of our contact with the store and our sales associate Francis Payne: * 9/14/2020 we called the store and Francis . We were told chairs were backordered and would arrive on 9/16/2020. * 9/17/2020 we called the store and Francis. We were told chairs are till on backorder and would arrive on 9/22/2020. * 9/23/2020 we called the store and Francis. We were told chairs had still not arrived and would without a doubt be here on 10/5/20. * 10/6/2020 we called the store and Francis. We were told chairs were still not in and Francis said he would call back by 11am on 10/7/20 with an update/resolution. * 10/7/2020 we called Francis, left a voicemail, and as of 10am on 10/8/20 still have not heard back. The fact that we have had to initiate all of the contact with the store and Francis is unacceptable and pitiful customer service. We have been patient and understanding, but no longer. A few months ago we had purchased a living room set obviously including couches, for an apartment we had just recently moved into & we noticed that the furniture had beg bugs and brought it to the manager's attention immediately and they didn't want to do anything about it we said we would return the furniture and they said we couldn't do that and we went back and fourth with so many of the workers at this location and at one point we said we would write this review and then the manager said that we didn't have to and that we would be refunded and allowed to keep the couches and we were refunded but then a few weeks later charges us again the entire amount which is so frustrating, we threw away the couches because they were just nasty & we didn't want to have a bed bug problem since my family had already been affected. In the past I would have rated them 5 stars but today we buy things and the supply chain issues in their basket cause us to remove one star. Recently bought a couch, chair and ottoman. In fairness I did try it briefly and it seemed fine. After less than a week of use it is showing signs of wear. Sagging etc. salesman showed no interest in trying to upsell by asking how I would use this furniture. I would have upgraded with some discussion. Definitely the worst experience I've ever had. I walked around for 45 min before I got frustrated called my mother to vent and she called rcwilly to complain. Lol. I received a call from the GM very nice man but at this point after being passed over and over by many employees I was very over it. I refuse to spend money with them any longer. My Story: I hate to shop, so when I offer to keep a friend company while they shop, I am frequently the one who ends up buying something because I normally avoid shopping like the plague. Not surprisingly, this proved to be the case when my friend was looking for a wood filing cabinet. Due to some aging family members and a friend with certain physical limitations, I have wanted to get a new motorized recliner chair that will also stand its occupant up. RC Willey had the first decent looking one I've found -- that was also comfortable. But, Grrr, it cost me $1200 to get it. I bit my lip and did since I've looked everywhere locally and hated the styles of all the others I've found. While we were there, we spent quite some time looking at new washers and dryers for my friend. Have you noticed how expensive those retro 50-style sets are? According to what I've seen, the cost of these overpriced appliances are 20-30% lower at RC Willey than at Lowe's and Home Depot. The stacker Washer/Dryer I own, and paid $1,000 for 10 years ago, is only $800 dollars here. I still love it best of all the styles because it's ergonomically the easiest to use and takes the least space in my smallish laundry room. He offered me suggestions based on what I told him I wanted. While doing a job as a salesman he was never too pushy. He was extremely personable and took the time to make sure I found everything that I needed and wanted in a very professional manner. He even followed up after the sale 2x! It's hard to know where to start. We have purchased quite a bit from RC Willey. We recently purchased a new house, so we needed to whole 9 yards, appliances, carpet, rugs, you name it, we probably still need it. Our experience initially wasn't horrible, though we were disappointed when, with the delivery of our fridge, our brand new house was scuffed and torn by the delivery guys. We recently went back to make another purchase of a full size bedroom set, and a Dyson vacuum. That's when the problems really started. First, it took us over an hour to get a sales person's attention. (All the while meandering through the displays talking VERY loudly about how much we wanted help - and literally, two sales guys were complaining about how they were bored and had no sales that day...). Finally, we dragged someone away from watching a movie, and they helped us purchase a bed. We would have bought a whole set, but we were a little irritated at that point. With the Dyson, we went over to the tile section to purchase. Again, no one wanted to help us, but the tile sales person dragged herself away from her game of solitaire to "answer" our questions. Which, she read us the information on the cards attached to the Dyson and that was it. She didn't want to help us, but she really wanted the commission so she hung around being really unhelpful. When we were checking out with her, she suggested we add an attachment for the vacuum. I told her that I had done quite a bit of research and thought that that particular attachment came with it. She told me it absolutely didn't. So, we bought it. When we get home, of course, the $100.00 attachment was, indeed, a part of the vacuum. Like I said, she REALLY wanted that commission. That's when the real problems began. When they delivered and installed the bed, it was like they could care less about our property and the property we had recently purchased. They installed the bed so poorly that I was actually worried about my daughter sleeping on it. They knew they had made a mistake, but it would take too long to fix it, so they continued to install it incorrectly. The shelf on the bed had a large crack on the back of the wall, but, again, they didn't care about quality or service. So when I came home and saw the wreck of the bed, we called and asked them to come replace it and pick the old one up. It took several weeks to get an appointment scheduled. Of course, they have those horrible delivery windows. I had to take half a day off from work to wait for them. They showed up 1.5 hours OUTSIDE of the 3 hour window, not caring to notify me that they would be late or anything. It meant that I didn't actually need to take a half day from work. Thus, wasting my time more, and my money. When they finally came to pick up the old bed, they spoke to me like I was a child, and implicated that I was just being too picky and the bed was fine. I told them we paid for a brand new bed, so I'd like a new bed, with no fractures or cracks. So they took the dresser portion out of the house. When they came back in they said that the bed they had brought had the same issue with it. So....five hours wasted. And, it's been over a month and a half and I STILL don't have a replacement. So, breakdown. We paid for a brand new bed. We have half of it in our house, the other half they said they would order and call us back. It's been over two weeks, and they haven't called us back. We are missing a $500.00 piece of our bed, and management doesn't care to give us a call to resolve this issue. Seriously, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. read more

I have being seeing the billboards in town with a bedroom set or something else with a very good price, so I thought I'd give RC Willey's a try. However, I was blown away with the high prices when I got there. Those billboards, you have to work real hard to find those prices here. That being said, if you don't mind the prices, these guys have great stuff in their store and the salesmen I talked to were all super friendly and my sister and I actually had some fun walking around and looking at all the furniture I can't afford. Before I knew it, an hour had passed. We really did have a good time there. However, there are those high prices to consider. read more

Big store, but pretty pricey in comparison to other stores in the area. I can't really review the products or service, because we didn't find a single thing there that we really wanted in our home. If anything, it was a good "control" for use in judging items we did like at other stores. Even in the clearance room (pretty big space in the back), items that were pretty well damaged were still priced like new. Strange. The staff were friendly and not overly pushy, so I guess there's that. The pricing system was a little difficult to understand, which might be the point (forcing you to ask someone to translate the signage). I know other folks who found things they liked and seemed ok with the price and service, so obviously it just wasn't our cup of tea. read more

Cheap stuff, yup. Is it worth the hassle? You have to decide that for yourself. I bought a washer and dryer from them. Had it delivered to my new house (contractor was there). I'm still in CA while its being finished. They install it, turn it on, and leave. The water hose is not placed firmly into the drain. Floods the new house before contractor notices water. Rotten, right? Call RC Willey, try to stay calm. Explain everything. Tell them i have to remove the W&D, remove the baseboards, remove the wood floor, hire a water extractor, purchase new flooring, purchase new padding, lay new floors, reinstall W&D correctly....cost? $720 Bummer, huh? They say "sorry to hear that, we're sending you a check right now" not bad, huh? Saved a few bucks on the W&D but spent a week repairing my home. If not for the delivery dudes, all would be fine. Moral of the story: tread carefully my friends and be home to supervise delivery and installation. read more

It's so unfortunate that such a large company doesn't understand that you must have staff to answer the phone and provide an effective and efficient process for customers to pick up the items that they purchase. Multiple employees are on you like glue trying to sell you stuff but once the sale is complete they don't have adequate staff for the customer order pick up process. I recently bought furniture at this store. I am happy with the furniture and prices, but not pleased with one of the sales people that I bought from. He dropped the ball on getting the furniture delivered when promised and as a result I was very disappointed. My advice when buying from RC Willey is to visit with several sales people before committing to one. The sales person has a lot of control over when you get your product. The sales supervisor did fix his mistake, but was not friendly when doing so. On a positive note, Dana in the Clearance Center is amazing and helpful. We've bought two refrigerations, a bedroom set, and a living room set from RC Willey. While we've been pretty pleased with the furniture, like most of the other reviewers, the delivery has been another story. When we bought our bedroom set, the salesperson threw in extra supports for us, because we are large people, and the mattress set we bought was very large and heavy, and we were worried about all the weight. The delivery person saw there was no charge for the extra supports, so just decided not to bring them. That wasn't bad enough, but when they did bring them, they refused to take apart the bed and install them, which really pissed us off, what good were they if they were not installed? The bed was far too heavy for my husband and I to take apart and install the supports! The last refrigerator we bought, we had a very similiar experience to the last reviewer. They scratched the door on the way in, and offered us an instand 10% discount. (It must happen a lot.) They also told us that White Out would cover the scratch. Like I said, it must happen a lot. They also hand carried the thing in with straps, I was amazed they didn't have a dolly. Maybe that's why they get scratched so much. The staff called and gave us the discount, but we ended up with a scratched refrigerator. I don't think I'll be going back to RC Willey any more for my appliance needs. We also went in recently looking for an adjustable bed, and the saleswoman was so aggressive, and "sized us" up so quickly, we just were extremely turned off and left. She showed us the cheapest bed possible, and said you could get all kinds of options, but they weren't necessary. We also asked about a apecific kind of mattress, and she said she "hadn't seen them in years." Needless to say, we weren't impressed with her or her sales skills, and we bought just what we wanted at Costco, and the delivery and set-up were a breeze. read more

Refrigerator I purchased there has been repaired 2 times and the bedroom furniture's finish has chipped off or pealed away. The dining set 2000$ set, is not much different. I came in looking for ideas to furnish my new place. There were way more associates than customers. Most approached to offer help. A few different groups of them were discussing the topic of loss prevention/asset protection (ie. the conditions of a potential arrest, no thefts in last 6 months, etc...). Anyway, I picked up an alarm clock that I happened to come across and continued on my search. Until I was approached by an individual who asked me to leave the alarm clock with the cashier and practically escorted me to the register. I understand that the store/regional leadership team may have a strong focus on LP/AP, but I felt this was a bit excessive for a $15 item. I cut my visit short, paid and left. I bought a Bosch refrigerator from RC Willey and love it. I just went back to buy a water filter so I will have one on hand when I need to change it. I had just gotten a check in the mail they send out out the end of the year. I guess it is kind of like a rebate. It paid for all but $5.00 of the filter. Our entire house is furnished from RC Willey. We've been to every furniture store in town. If you want quality, but you're not a millionaire, this is the place to go! Yes, you'll spend a little more than you would at Mor and Ashley, but if you want something that will last and last, and looks luxury, you're better off at RC. Their employees are very helpful and know what they're selling. You can pay 80 bucks (I think) and get free delivery for a year - totally worth it if you're buying a lot! PLUS, if you're ready for big purchases (when we bought our house we needed everything - washer, dryer, fridge, 2 couches, a dining table, etc, etc) they have a great credit program! 18 months no interest if you spend over a certain amount - we chipped away at ours for 18 months and ended up paying ZERO interest on a very high bill! read more
