I have to express only frustration and disappointment with the flooring and installation services provided by RC Willey. Based on our experience, I strongly urge others to stay clear of RC Willey's flooring department. We were also told by the flooring manager that some gaps are considered "acceptable." This was never mentioned during the sales process. In fact, before purchasing, we were reassured that if the flooring was installed correctly, gapping would not be an issue. We also interviewed other flooring companies prior to choosing RC Willey, and they said the exact same thing: properly installed flooring should not gap. That reassurance played a major role in our decision to go with RC Willey--yet here we are, just a few months later, with ongoing gaps and damage. Had we been made aware of the potential issues with laminate, we would have selected a different flooring product. We were sold on the promise of a "2-Year Happiness Guarantee," which supposedly ensures that any flooring issues will be addressed. In reality, that guarantee only means the same installation crew--regardless of performance--will be sent out repeatedly, even if they cause more damage or ignore work orders. Here is a breakdown of our experience: * First Visit: I mentioned early plank separation. The crew told me "it's fine, it won't separate." That turned out to be false. * Second Visit: When large gaps formed, the same crew returned. They hammered planks back together, damaging and chipping several in the process. They caulked over the damage and moved our bed and rug to hide it. The store manager admitted this would be a fireable offense "if it happened." It did--but the same crew was sent back anyway. * Third Visit: This visit was directed by the flooring manager after inspecting our home himself. He noted an uneven subfloor that needed to be leveled to prevent future gapping. That work was noted on the order but not completed. The flooring crew said the gap was fine and put caulking in it. * Now, going to have to be a Fourth Visit: After taking a week to cool off, we found yet another chip--this one from the second visit. The areas that the flooring crew refused to fix on the third round. The issues just keep building. In addition, every time this crew comes out, they wear their shoes inside, walking across our carpets and leaving black scuff marks on our walls and baseboards. Normally, I wouldn't complain about something like that--but when we're already dealing with poor workmanship and lack of accountability, having to scrub our baseboards and walls after every visit is just one more burden. It's careless and disrespectful. To make matters worse, the store manager asked me to write an email outlining all my concerns, which I did--two weeks ago. I've received no response. I also noted issues on the most recent work order, and again, no one has followed up. RC Willey already got our money--$8,000 later--and now they no longer care about customer service. We also have other areas with minor separation that "don't qualify" for repair yet because it "meets factory standards". But we know eventually those areas will separate--and we'll have to start this process all over again. All of this has happened since the flooring was installed--just a few months ago, at the end of February. It has been an exhausting, ongoing problem that should have been resolved properly the first time. We are a busy household with children. We should not have to keep rearranging our home and our schedules to repeatedly deal with the same problems caused by the same crew. We are not being treated fairly, and this is no longer just about fixing flooring--it's about accountability and respect for your customers' time, money, and homes. It's unacceptable that, after three visits, there are still issues that remain unresolved--and we still aren't being offered a new team to handle the repairs. We are exhausted by this never-ending process. We're not being unreasonable--we simply want what we paid for: a floor that was installed correctly and treated with care. Given the time, stress, and damage caused, we are requesting the following: 1. A different, qualified flooring crew and third party company be assigned to fix all outstanding issues--not the current one. 2. That all damaged flooring and qualified gaps, including the area with the uneven subfloor and all separation, be addressed properly and fully. 3. A partial refund or discount to compensate for the damage, repeated disruptions, stress, and lack of resolution. We entered this transaction in good faith. RC Willey needs to demonstrate the same integrity and follow through--because right now, that "2-Year Happiness Guarantee" means nothing. Everything went great from the start. Our sales associate was amazing, knowledgeable and patient . He showed us at least 20 different refrigerators and explained all the pros and cons of each. He never made us feel like we were taking up to much of his time even though we were back and forth on a few of them. Financing was a breeze and again no pressure. Set up a delivery date and man this was the best part. We were notified 24 hours in advance of the delivery window and the day of of was sent an email to track where my delivery was in the schedule and then notified about 30 minutes out that they were on there way. The guys showed up on time and were very nice and professional and speedy. Delivery arrived on schedule that Saturday, but after the truck left, we noticed the refrigerator was tripping our GFCI circuit. I called customer service and spoke with Coral, who suspected it was an electrical issue. I insisted it might be a faulty unit and asked to speak with her manager. She connected me with Wendy, who was incredibly patient and professional. She assured me that if I wasn't satisfied, they would replace the refrigerator on the next available delivery day--no arguments, just solutions. When the second unit arrived, it had the same issue. I called a few electricians, but none were available for days. After a bit of research on YouTube, I discovered that GFCI outlets are extremely sensitive, and the startup surge from a refrigerator compressor can trip them. The simple solution was to bypass the GFCI outlet (safely, of course), knowing that the main circuit breaker would still protect from overload. One of the Most Frustrating Customer Service Experiences - Never Again This was my first (and definitely last) time purchasing from RC Willey, and the experience has been nothing short of a disappointment. I ordered a dining table that was scheduled for pickup on Thursday, 5/15. When I arrived, they only had the table base ready and casually mentioned that the tabletop had arrived broken and I'd need to come back in a day or two for the replacement. No one had the courtesy to call me beforehand to let me know it was incomplete. I could have avoided wasting my time and gas if they had just communicated. They said they would call me once the replacement tabletop was ready--they never did. I had to follow up myself, only to be told that it had arrived. When I finally opened the table base box, I found that a key structural piece (the connecting bar between the legs) was missing. I called again and was told they'd have to order another base just to give me that missing piece, and it wouldn't be available until the following Thursday--a full week after my original pickup date. They did offer free delivery for the part, which I appreciated, but the damage was already done. I decided to contact customer service to express my frustration and cancel the order altogether. The rep I spoke to couldn't have been less helpful or empathetic--no apology, no attempt to make it right. Just a flat "OK" and a direction to bring back the table for a refund. So now, I have to make another trip to return an item that was never complete to begin with. RC Willey completely failed in both communication and basic customer service. This whole experience has been stressful, disappointing, and a total waste of time. I had mattresses delivered from RC Willey. One of the mattresses was for a murphy (folding) bed. The bed has a gas lift to assist in folding the bed. The delivery guy yanked the old mattress off without compensating for the lift. The bed slammed close with the legs extended. The top of the murphy bed wood now has huge dents in it. The store said, "oh we are sorry". We will forward your claim to corporate to see what they will do. "They will probably just send you a check for a couple of bucks". So, they ruin a custom murphy bed and now they will send me a couple of bucks. I will never do business with them again! read more

October 2016 - New King bed 2018-2019 Two piece sectional December 2021 - New washer dryer Summer 2022 - New queen bed, box spring and headboard/footboad October 2022 - Matching night stand/dresser (ordered at same time as previous but was on back order) February 2023 - New fridge and sectional I don't recall who I worked with prior to the bed set. Ana helped me with the bed set and sectional. I don't recall the two employees in appliances who helped me but they were both very helpful as well. Each encounter for a purchase was nice. The employees respected my budget and requirements for items. They did not try to upsell me or convince me to get extended warranties. They offered them and then if I declined, they were content with that decision. The deliveries of the items also went off without a hitch. The deliveries arrived within the expected two hour time frame. Movers were quick and efficient and did not damage items or things in the home. They have a beautiful showroom with everything you could possibly need to fill a new home. I have been here several times with my folks to look at various items for their place. They ordered a really nice TV console and glass tables for their living room and dining room. Everything was delivered when promised and came with satisfaction guarantees. The first set of dining chairs that arrived with the table didn't go well with the dining room, and there was no hassle to switch them out. While awaiting the new set of chairs, they were able to keep the first set so only one new in home visit was needed. Customer service was friendly and easy to deal with. This happened two more times only they called me before each delivery to tell me table was broken. Customer service actually asked me if I wanted to keep it, are you kidding me?? I will not give up though, I will find the owner (as the manager won't respond), and I will keep calling, and emailing, and using social media to warn about this company until something is done. On July 31st, I went out to R.C. Willey to check on the status of my flooring order and speak to Greg Topol, the salesman. He was pleasant and very willing to help me with my questions. When it was time to speak with the finance department, a woman by the name of Victoria said come up to the window. I told her what I needed to do she said I didn't have enough credit, so I wanted to apply for higher credit limit. She actually badgered me and was very condescending toward me, kept wanting my bosses name, and wanted to look at two forms of ID but all I had was my credit cards so she took those,, after a few minutes of being imbarrased by her I said never mind and left the store. I don't need the credit card you offer, but I liked the 12 months of no interest, and thought your store had the best selection of carpeting. I will not do business with you due to your poor customer service, and will take my business elsewhere because I get embarrassed easily, and I don't need your employees to make me feel like I am trying to cheat you out of something when all I am doing is trying to get some work done in my house. You lost $4000 sale by the way,, I guess she must be worth a lot to your store,, keep her and you will definitely one day go out of business.. she does not have good customer service skills in any capacity.. I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the service I have received from RC Willey thus far, specifically concerning the extended warranty on the furniture set (table and chairs) we purchased for $3,101.76. We made this investment based on the assurance and explicit promises that the extended warranty would cover any damage, including accidental, given the family environment with our five children. Trusting that is not just a commission based sales tactic your floor employees use to sell these warranties, as we believe Rc Willey is much above this which is the exact reason we choose to purchase from your business and not from cheaper places with easier return and equally beneficial warranty policies. To date, our family has been loyal customers of Rc Willey since June of 2020, and we have spent a total of $22,770.24. Purely due to how much we trust in your companies professionalism and care they place into the items and warranties they sell. We have purchased 37 total items from Rc Willey for our home not including the individual bed set pieces which we have three of. We have purchased to date SIX warranties totaling $989.94, that covers 22 individual items in our home. We also hold a credit line with your company that has never been defaulted on. Despite our due diligence in confirming the specifics of the warranty coverage at the time of purchase, our experience in seeking service and support has been nothing short of a nightmare. We have encountered continuous pushback, delays, no shows, and outright refusals from the warranty company regarding the coverage of certain damages, contrary to the assurances given by your sales team. Our repeated attempts to resolve these issues through customer service have been met with inefficiency and a lack of urgency, exacerbating our inconvenience and dissatisfaction. The recent communication, stating that the damages previously promised to be covered are now excluded, and the refusal to replace our discontinued set, is not only disheartening but feels deceptive. The proposal to credit us a mere $1,900 instead of honoring the full value of our initial purchase or providing a reasonable solution is unacceptable and not in line with the promises made verbally and in the written terms of the warranty. This not only undermines the trust we placed in RC Willey but also suggests a disregard for customer satisfaction and ethical business practices. We urge RC Willey to review our case with the seriousness it warrants and provide a resolution that respects the commitments made at the point of sale. We expect a full acknowledgment of the warranty terms as promised, covering all repair costs or providing a full reimbursement of every item in the dining set and warranties purchased for that dining set or a suitable replacement for our dining set. Went furniture shopping all across town and made this store my last stop because it is near home. Very nice layout a lot of selections. I was deeply disappointed by the discriminatory treatment. The greeter did not greet us, she looked us up and down judging us solely on appearance and skin color is unacceptable. Another family walked it behind us and she greeted them. I was absolutely speechless. We continued to walk around not one single sales person approached us. We decided to leave as upon leaving we receive the same treatment. I looked at the older white women and I said have a good night she just smiled and did not say a thing. Few feet behind us was a white couple and she made sure she wished them a good night. Just had the repairman out to check the LG Fridge I bought 2 1/2 years ago because the sales person said LG was so great!! NOT! If you buy an LG fridge you should also buy a backup that is NOT an LG so you can keep your food cold when your LG quits. And when you call RC Willy for help, be prepared NOT to get any because they don't care as I was told they sell them they don't fix them. ONLY a certified LG Repair person can work on anything LG, they someone claims they can fix them that isn't certified, they are lying to you. The repair guy that has been in business over 35 years said although he is certified, he refuses to work on LG because they are so bad, they are the worst rated at the bottom of the list, he would not own anything LG. And he said if they tell you they are a great product, walk away, because they are blowing smoke. The next worst is Samsung, which I was shocked, but I've heard that from others. If the salesman was like the one I talked to, you just couldn't get any better than LG... he must get a kickback!! Buy a GE!! Or something other than LG or Samsung! Thanks, RC Wiley, for the advice and guidance that caused me to buy a Kitchen Aid double door, very nice looking piece of Cr**. Kitchen Aid is the King of Telephone Sludge (transfer, wait and repeat that until you vomit). They basically have no service department, not one that answers questions or helps in any way. While I've always had good service here in person, trying to reach their customer service line for warranty issues was nigh impossible. I finally got a hold of somebody somewhere online to respond electronically. We bought a dryer less than a year ago from them and it stopped drying. Not even a year!? Why yes, not even. The issue was referred to the appliance repair company the my use here in Reno and they actually did call to set up an appointment for the following week. YAY, I'll be able to do laundry on Tuesday. NOPE! How mistaken was I. Silly me thought a warranteed relatively new appliance would be an easy fix. The repairman has to now get an approval to order the part before he can fix it. Another week to wait. I'm just going to call our regular appliance guy and pay to fix it. I will not be purchasing anything with a warranty from RC Willey in the future. I'll add on that we did buy a couch instead august of this year. Parts of it were on back order till Oct 17. Do we have it all? Nope..it's now on back order until the end of November. It's not a stress point and not used much so it seems just another example of low quality products. I don't expect they would do anything about under my extended warranty because they always blame the customer even though the warranty was represented to cover the product for any reason. Looking for a giant furniture store, with a wide selection of styles, shapes and size furniture options? RC Willey has you covered. With that great selection, you'll be followed around by salespeople, hunted like prey, and repeatedly harassed until you commit to working with someone specific... Be prepared to get puppy dog eyes and severe looks of disappointment from the sales people that you did not chose. Be prepared for a high pressure sales environment, spending an extremely long amount of time to complete a transaction - even if you think it's an easy sale, it will take at least 30 minutes. Let's talk about their pick-up process - you have to stand in line in an office, dealing with indifferent teenagers. Then they tell you to wait "5-10 minutes" at the loading dock for someone else to bring your stuff. You sit there for 15-20 minutes while listening to 4-5 employees each mentioning that they LOST your merchandise that you're arriving to pick up. THEN, one of them will come ask you to sign stating that you received it - even though they don't have it and aren't prepared to give you the product. When you tell them that you heard them say it's missing, they tell you that it's not missing and they're just waiting for it to be picked..... THIRTY minutes later, someone new brings the item with NO apology or acknowledgement of the delay. Do yourself a favor - support local business & avoid this place. read more
