Even if 1/4 of the fantastic reviews for RCT Performance were truthful and authentic, we would have used them. But to have close to 100 FIVE STAR reviews, is a huge accomplishment. And even more amazing is the fact that they are literally across the street from our house. The communication via email with Ryan was spot on. I ordered the tires per other recommendations from Tire Rack mid morning on Thursday and they had arrived by mid day on Friday allowing my car to be serviced early Saturday morning. The price for an alignment was half of what we had anticipated and there was no attempt to nickel and dime us. My one wish ? That every task in life could be this simple and stress free. I brought my car here for an alignment, and they damaged one of my axle boots. After calling and speaking to Ryan, the owner, he acknowledged that it was their fault but regardless he would not help me with the damage to my car and would "work with me on the next alignment." Instead of actually taking responsibility for the situation that he acknowledged his shop had caused, Ryan recommended I bring my axle to another shop to get a new boot at my own expense, and said he would not help me whatsoever in repairing the damaged axle, even if I supplied the parts. To add insult to injury, the leaking axle boot has flung grease all over my brand new suspension parts that I had installed just before the alignment. I really used to love this place, but frankly this is very unscrupulous behavior and will probably not come back after 5 years of being a customer here. Update: Just got home to find that the other axle boot was also melted the same way as the driver's side one. With labor, this is ~$1500 of damage to my vehicle, and they are not helping me with any of it. read more

RCT Performance is a superb provider for my wheel alignment. I had a massive blowout on the highway that messed everything up, causing vibrations and other challenges. My friend recommended RCT Performance and, even though I live in Queens, I traveled there after obtaining an 8:30 a.m. appointment the day before. My vehicle was taken in immediately and the entire process was a mere 20 minutes. I got a printout of all the issues my vehicle had and was told to come back twice a year for this service. (I will probably come back, but only once a year. Come on guys, it's a minivan - I'm going nowhere fast). There is a reason so many people are bringing their cars here! I really appreciate how Ryan took the time to explain the services and made professional recommendations. The waiting area is right inside the garage so you can see the service being done to the car. Being said, it can get a bit cold since the area. The garage can fit 3 cars comfortably and Ryan was constantly checking on all the cars being worked on. Prices are very reasonable. $49 for oil chain (semi synthetic) $100 for 4 wheel alignment Best part is I don't have to worry about them trying to tag on extra unnecessary services/charges like I do with other repair shops. UPDATE**after response on google: After discovering that they did not follow instructions on the toe links I decided to check the tie rods and low and behold one of these so called knowledgeable people left the lock nut on the tie rod LOOSE! I knew there we something a miss when I see the dude put a torch on a BRAND NEW part! Those rod ends are injection molded. Glad I was watching and stopped them.. Brought my car in for 4 tires to get mounted and aligned , 3 days prior to this I just had the car detailed for 1500$ full paint correction ceramic coating interior and exterior immaculate, i speak to the owner as I'm leaving he is the one who test drove the car and everything , I thought having 4 Tires mounted wouldn't be a big mess, I get the car home and see the steering wheel and shift knob full of grease, no problem I use about 4-5 armor all wipes to clean it down didn't want to make a big fus over it . Then I look up at the headliner and there is grease all over my clean light grey headliner, I open up the sun visor and there is a big hand print of grease there also, why they were opening up my sun visor and touching it with dirty gloves is beyond me , my rims were spotless when I brought the car in, I get it I should of got the tires mounted and such then got it detailed but I didn't think this was going to be such a big dirty job, I get the car back and every single rim is full of grease and finger prints , you would think they would of at least simply cleaned the rims with soap and water being how dirty they made them but no , I call up the owner to confirm he was the one who test drove the car and he admits he did then I ask why is my steering wheel and shift knob full of grease now all of a sudden he wants to point fingers saying his workers must of done it , if the worker was moving the car on and off the lift that requires minimal contact with the steering wheel and shift knob all of 1 minute , this guy is full of shit wants to hang up on my face when I call up and get a attitude with me , my buddy brought his clean Mint condition e46 m4 with 30k miles in for tires and alignment as well and he gets the car back and they scratched the rims and tried telling him it was already like that , unfortunately scumbags like these people are still in Buisness and I hope they lose Business all together with this review very unprofessional you would think with the covid 19'virus they would be changing gloves after everything they do , owner says they've been changing their gloves like crazy trying to stay sanitary if that's the case why is my car full of grease on the inside literally makes no sense place straight up sucks read more

These guys are a recommended installer by tirerack.com, they sounded knowledgeable, honest, and convenient when I called them over the phone, so I chose them to replace all 4 tires. Tirerack shipped the tires to RCT Performance, Ryan called me to confirm that he received them, and we made an appointment. I went in January or February earlier this year and they did the tire switch right away, the balance and all... I stupidly drove (pretty hard) into a curb with a sharp corner, and now I've got a bulge in the poor tire that hit that curb. I'm having a new one shipped to RCT and we'll do the replacement there again. I'd rather not travel to College Point, but they're worth it. read more

This place charges top dollar for high speed balancing they call it. Took my Bentley and Porsche there back to back to get the service done. Within a few days-I realized they literally did nothing and the Porsche got worse after they balanced it. My whole body literally shakes from the wheels being off balance. When I called to tell the manager Ryan of this-he said too bad and I would have to pay again. This is after calling several times because he never returns my calls. Horrible customer service. Just came back from RCT installing and aligning my new winter tires. I went recommended by a friend, who said all his other friends come here. It was a Monday afternoon , and I must say, the guys were friendly and the work was done quick. after the install they did the alignment, when they were done they gave me a computerized read out of the work. No games and no bs like other tire places. I called and contacted 4 others and each told me I had to leave my car. RCT took care of me right away and had me out of there quick. Truth be told that negative reviews are far easier to write than good ones. RCTs reviews are purely organic due to the diligence and knowledge that Ryan and his crew puts into their work. They are good at what they do and I'm glad I found them. Both my cars had handling and suspension issues that other techs could not solve. Ryan figured everything out and fixed it correctly. I even spent more $$ than I anticipated cause I was comfortable in trusting him to do an all around JDM Tein EDFC suspension spring load upgrade. Now the car is such a joy to drive again! Night and Day difference! The suspension feels and responds perfectly to the current set up I have. I can finally confidently say that I can start working on different areas of the vehicle other than suspension/handling now that I have RCT on my side. Had a vibration issue at 70+ on my brand new tirerack package (18" with Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4) that was supposedly road force balanced... Just took it to RCT Performance to get it redone, and was super surprised to learn that all 4 wheels needed to be adjusted and weights added. The balancing was way off. My vibrations completely disappeared and now I literally can't tell if I'm going 60 or 90 MPH... You don't realize how significantly off something like this is until you feel perfection. Highly recommend anyone in NYC that needs a to have their Tesla aligned or balanced etc. to visit RCT Performance in Westbury Li. Guys were very professional, and knew exactly how to work on teslas. They treated my car like gold. They used Jack pads for the lift, adjusted proper tire pressure, used a torque wrench on my lugs , and most importantly, treated me and my car with respect. I've done all the mods myself -- brakes, brake lines, rotors, full exhaust, AOS, ECBS, tranny mounts, chargepipe, sound system, wheelhubs, etc. way too many to list. But can't do alignments at home, obviously. So I take it here and have had an amazing experience every time. Also got my clutch replaced here because I didn't have the equipment to drop the tranny and they did a great job. Most recently, took my car here today because vibration in the steering wheel even the dealer couldn't fix. Turns out all of my wheels were bent and they were able to diagnose it in 5 mins and even let me in the back and showed me the run-out on their roadforce machine. Def bent. Ryan's (owner) a stand up guy. I've been going to him for years. Only place I take to have my car's alignment done. This is a busy shop and they get it done. They don't milk jobs like most non busy shops to charge extra labor. Ryan also always explains everything in detail and tests drives the vehicle after the repair is done to make sure everything is good. He is very detail orientated. I started out going to his Queens shop, now Westbury which is better for me as I'm LI based. Ryan also won't scratch your wheels and offers road force balancing. A shop prior scratched the crap out of my expensive BBS wheels, on top of that the wheels were all out of wack! My car couldn't go past 50mph, steering wheel shook like crazy! Ryan fixed it. I will continue to use these guys. This is one of the only shops my wife feels comfortable going by herself. Oh and btw what other alignment shop you know gets their Hunter Machine balanced each year?? Without it alignments will never be true. RCT takes care of their customers and their equipment. I took my 2016 BMW 435 Gran Coupe to have my new HRE wheels and tires banlance and installed. after a week, I decided to wash my car ( beacsue the weather got nice) I notice that each wheel had some sort of scratches on the iner lip. These wheels have a custom finish that only HRE can power coat. I came to them as a recommendion from a good freind. I drove over an 1 1/2 hour, just to have my wheels scratch. I call them up and spoke to the owner Ryan he ask me for my number and said he would call me back, I never got a return call and any money back for my damage wheels. Now I have $3,0000 wheels that have scartches on them and will cost me $500 to re-powder coated them from HRE, that does not include the shipping cost. REVIEWS ARE FAKE OR RCT IS PREJUDICED... They try to make you get an alignment in order to even get your car checked on the platform. If you have serious damage to a tire due to an accident shouldn't you check the clients car underneath for any loose ends? Terrible attitude to even get my tire replaced. They just jacked up my car a little to get my broken tire replaced, didn't check anything at all like the reviews say. They didn't check that there was a hazard light that appeared and they didn't drive my car around the block to see if my tire held air since my wheel was slightly damaged. I had to go back to RCT to ask them to kindly check underneath my car which they reluctantly did so. They said all was fine - except it wasn't. The transmission oil was leaking. Maybe it's because I am a female or maybe because I look young or maybe because I drive a Honda CR-V. After potholes gave one of the tires a bubble, I bought tires from Tirerack.com and they are one of the recommended installers with roadforce wheel balancing. Called them up Friday & was able to get an appointment on Saturday morning. Rolled in at appointment time & James greeted me, already knowing whats needed to be done. Nice clean & bright shop. Took out the tires from the car, and get working on it right away. Mounting the tires and doing the 4 wheel alignment took less than an hour to complete. James showed & explained to me the alignment results, everything is peachy after the alignment. Price is broken down by line items, so there is no sneaky games to be played. Before handing the car over they will drive the car around the block to make sure everything is good, and I like that. Fantastic performance. I have been bringing all of my vehicles here for years. Ryan and James provide beyond quality service. These are the guys you go to if you want an honest opinion and the job to be done right. I have had many things done to my cars over the years at RCT and never had an issue. The price is reasonable but an extremely great value for the quality of the work performed. I drive a lot and my tires and front suspension is constantly hammered by the roads going back and forth from Suffolk county to queens. 1) Great Customer Service, exceeds every other business I contacted (phone and emails) in all Queens. (Don't want to mention other names but trust me I contacted all the Top rated tire shops) 2) I drove all the way from Uptown Manhattan to remove my RunFlat tires on my BMW X3 M-Sport (19s) and install my Continental DWS.. They were balanced and I requested a pre-alignment check and also decided to get it aligned for the winter. 3) Price is very reasonable & if you get more than 1-2 things done he even works out a discount. (Not very common these days). Every step of the way he was explaining to me the before & after, and what was going on etc. I knew all of it except he did it on his own which shows he cares about his customers. 4) Owner himself will reply to emails promptly and no pressure (very knowledgeable guy) + his workers all seem eager to work and know what they're doing. 5) Unbelievable they took care of my plastidip wheels and didn't peel off as much as my friends (same car, same tire size) did peel off at another shop he went to a week ago. 6) They use HUNTER, they use the best, for the best outcome! 7) Performance shop, they will understand and work on any European car + also are known for more than just tires. This review is for a visit/service back in March of 2015 that my husband did, but is still applicable: Needed a tire changed, as it had a sidewall bubble from pothole damage (had less than 400 miles use on it...). Called around, other shops didn't have it in shop or gave me incorrect pricing, as they kept using the lower speed rating instead of the higher rating of the tire needed. Brand new car, dealership was being a dip as well, saying they were backordered due to the severe winter and I should go somewhere else (gotta love dealerships!). Searched online and came upon RCT, with raving reviews. Me being my leery self, I wasn't exactly believing these many 5 star reviews, but, after speaking over the phone and via email with Ryan, they all sounded on the up and up. He took his time, never rushed, explained everything that I had questions about and then some, no impatience on his part, despite my numerous emails and requests. He had the exact tire in stock (no waiting a week as other shops said to get it from Goodyear in the Midwest) and would be able to swap it out the next day, which was fine with me. Set up my appointment, arrived just before my appointment time and was taken in right away. I observed all the work being done and Ryan was even working on the car personally with one of his technicians. They checked all four tire pressures, showed me the tire damage and even filled out on the receipt the specific damage for my warranty reimbursement. The whole job took about 10-15mins to perform, quick and easy. And he was quite busy, as there were other vehicles arriving afterwards for work to be performed. But, as promised, my appointment was honored and held to. The service, courtesy, professionalism and more was outstanding here and I'm recommending this place to any that need tire services. And if I need any alignment, this is the place I'm going to have do it, as they also have a Hunter alignment machine for that.
