Overall, we had a good experience. We originally got a quote for our project in October and was told that work would start and finish between late February to mid March. As mid February came around, we had no word from Rebath on the status of the materials. After repeated weekly followups via email and text message, we were told multiple times that the materials had shipped and that Rebath would reach out to us to confirm installation dates and times once the materials have arrived and been verified. This back-and-forth went on for close to two months, and due to the lack of transparency or consistency of information, we began to worry that we had been scammed, and that the large sum of money we had provided up-front in good-faith for the project would be gone. Fortunately, after emailing an ultimatum to Rebath, 1 week later the materials were confirmed delivered and installation was scheduled shortly thereafter. Our installer, Tyler, was awesome - super communicative, transparent, and efficient. While the install took a few days longer than anticipated due to a few unexpected delays, he made sure to explain the situation to us all along the way. The final product result that Rebath installed was great. Without the contractor and his final result, I would have rated them as a zero, as their initial expectations-management was completely off which led us to worry we had been scammed. We strongly feel that Rebath really needs to work on their project timeline management during the quoting process, as well as customer expectations management in the areas of transparency, clarity, and information accuracy during the material manufacturing and transport phase. read more

The whole experience was great. Granted, you may have a little wait a little while in scheduling the project, but it's well worth it. First you have the salesperson give you design options. We choose to have them remove the existing shower/tub combo and replace it with a shower. We selected the color and fixtures we wanted. The rip out went better than I expected. The made sure no mess was left and cleaned up each day. Our installer was Caesar, he was great. He made sure everything was perfectly done. I checked his work, as I have previous construction experience, and he did a great job of cutting, tiling some sections, rerouting some plumbing and installing the overhead light. I called the San Fernando Office twice to report this issue and was told that someone from installation would call me. After two weeks no one called me so I called again and was informed that the glass doors were only under warranty for 1 year. This is an installation issue not a door issue. They would not help me. The problem areas were the wall damage in both bathrooms, and the worst tile installation that I've ever seen. The salesperson misrepresented what I was going to get. They did not communicate at all except when they were going to show up. They gave a 4-month window and were 2 months late. I called after the 4-month and they said they had no idea when it was going to be in. In June 2022, I purchased an entire bathroom remodel in cash. my contract stated that the work would begin in October 2022. I began calling in the beginning of October to inquire on when the work would begin. I was told upon several different calls that they were behind schedule and that my work would take place at the end of October. Today is October 28, 2022. I called to verify again and this time I was told that my vanity was back ordered and my work would not begin until December 2022. This is a breach of contract. I purchased a free standing tub, a faucet and handles for the vanity drawers that I cannot return. I spoke to Merissa and she stated that there would be a 20% cancellation fee. I laughed and stated that this was a breach of contract on their behalf and we will ABSOLUTELY go to court if they try to charge me 20%. 1. We have a legally binding contract 2. I made my home readily available for Re-bath to come in and do the work in OCTOBER as stated in our contract 3. Rebath failed to fulfill their contractual obligations 4. I suffered as a result to the breach The bottom line is that we had mutually accepted terms and mutual intent that the contract be legally binding. So, had a consultant of sorts out to the house on May 24, 2022. There really wasn't much to the consultation and a short time later I received a "text" letting me know that what I ordered as a result of my consultation with the expert won't actually fit in my shower area I will need to get a different item. So, I approved the change site unseen as I was anxious for the install which was to be 12 weeks from consult date so that would have been on or around August 16, 2022. I am not sure, even if it is ever installed, that it will be right because I have zero confidence in the "consult". The person literally shared no ideas about what may work better or different than what I thought. I am not a bathroom remodel consultant by the way. So it is now October 22, 2022 and I continue to be "fogged off" by anyone and everyone I speak with at Re-Bath. I know how stupid I must look as I could have just ordered a shower and accessories and had a local contractor or handyman install this long ago. Maybe one day they will install this shower but like I said - not feeling confident. Shame on Re-Bath and shame on Lowe's as that is the website where this train wreck started in early May 2022. We requested an estimate from Re-Bath located on Ventura Blvd., Oxnard, CA. early 2022 for shower replacement. The estimate was exorbitant, around 10K. They came back with an offer to replace the shower floor, which is what was what was actually falling apart, with "tiled" enclosure about three ft. up to my original tilework for about $4,500, about half original estimate. We said okay. We were satisfied with the work quality until a discovery late this year, 2023. My wife who has been on oxygen 24/7 with C.O.P.D. complained when we turned our heater on, that dust was blowing on her exacerbating her condition. I ignored her for a while saying that couldn't be since we also had a new heater installed just before the shower work. Well, I finally decided I needed to replace the heater filter and clean up the intake box under the heater. After removing the vent from our kitchen to the framed box under the heater, I was shocked to see a large pile of trash in the intake box..!!!???!!!???... which was old broken tile, broken concrete wallboard, etc, etc.. Yes, that's correct... Line 5. of the Re-Bath "day of Installation" information sheet states "Our standard procedure is to remove and dispose of all debris at our shop". Obviously this was not done, but debris was tossed thru the wall of old shower into an area which was not investigated by installers. Very bad basic workmanship. I just hope my wife's condition has not suffered too much. She mysteriously was sick most of 2023. Any "starving" lawyers out there reading this, please text me at 805 612 2712, as I have not cleaned up their mess yet. In fact I have called them with this complaint twice, and never got a call back as promised. I am 76 and don't feel like cleaning up this mess/problem for the price we paid. Wednesday Mike and Richard came to demo and install. Mike explained everything before starting the work and stayed in communication the whole time. Both were hard working, courteous and professional. This is quite possibly the worst remodel company that has ever existed in the universe. We hired Home Depot to come out and provide pricing and timing for a shower remodel. We chose a product and they said that Re-bath would be the company doing it. It took 2 months to get them to come out and do the installation. When they started it was clear that this was going to be messy. They tracked dust through our entire house. I have been on hundreds of job sites and this is not how construction should be done. They didn't clean up after themselves and left a layer of dust on everything. Every day we had to was our sheets that were in a different room because the dust was so bad. Almost no protection. They then forgot to do the extra shower head and when we asked them about it they said well. Why do you even need a second shower head? BECAUSE WE ORDERED IT AND PAID FOR IT!! It was too late. They said they would refund us a portion of the installation. Ok. Then I found that they had damaged a wall in a room adjacent to where the work was done. They did a poor job of patching it. I had to do it myself. The installed for the shower door came out a week or so later and cut metal on our front porch. Leaving little shavings of metal everywhere. Right in front of our front door where it would be tracked in the house. We have small kids. Why wouldn't they clean after themselves or do it in a place that wouldn't get tracked throughout. We had to call multiple times for the refund and when they send it it was only 60% of what we agreed. They are awful in every way! read more

Before reading; if you are having problems with ReBath, immediately call THE CONTRACTOR STATE LICENSING BOARD. They were very helpful. Our initial meeting with ReBath was great. Alex Flores came by our house, walked us through everything, had us select floors, shower "tiles", bathtub "tiles", shower heads, shower doors, etc. *Note: they will not give you an itemized list of materials unless you demand it. And when they do, it is not priced by item. Also, the showerheads are all described the same, making it difficult to prove that you did not order the non-generic showerhead (because they charge you for the expensive one). From there we foolishly decided to go with a 12 month interest free loan from Enerbank; the bank that does business mostly with contractors and who ReBath strictly does customer loan's through. We got approved for the loan while Alex was still present and were told it would be 2 to 3 months before work would begin. Not a problem. A month later we talked to Alex Flores and he told us that our materials hadn't been ordered because we hadn't signed the EnerBank dispersal for half of the funds (to give ReBath the money to buy our materials). I called EnerBank, because at that time we had lost an additional month. EnerBank then sent us the paperwork via email... 3 times (because they couldn't figure out how to properly send it). I signed it and we moved on. About a week later I received another email from EnerBank asking me to sign for dispersal of funds. I foolishly thought it was the same funds and that I had done something wrong the first time since they previously sent it 3 times. And was worried I was losing even more time in getting our two bathrooms re-done. So, I signed it again (like an idiot). A few days later EnerBank called and asked how the install went. I told them it hadn't started yet. They said, "then why did you sign for all funds to be dispersed?" I panicked and realized I had. I asked EnerBank to request a refund on the second payment since it was the only leverage I would have if the work was not done properly. EnerBank said I had to speak to ReBath. Of course. I called ReBath, they said they had never had anything like this happen before, so they had to look into it. Week after week, every time we called, they were still looking into it. Turns out, if you read reviews, this actually happens a lot between EnerBank and ReBath. So much so that some people think it's a bit of a scam EnerBank pulls for their clients (ReBath) that they cannot be held accountable for. Every time we called ReBath they said they were looking into it and would call us back within the week. They never did. We had to constantly call. Eventually they started screening our calls. *Note: don't call, email. They will say anything over the phone. Then, magically, they were able to bring up the date for the install. They had received the material earlier than expected, they said. At that moment we accused them of waiting out the clock so that they could start the work before resolving the 50% completion funds they should not have had. As a solution, we asked them to write us a check for the 50% completion funds and we would pay them when the work was completed. They agreed to send the check with the install team. *Note: the install team is one person who ReBath does not pay until the work is completed. So it is in his interest to get done quickly. Also note that we were very kind to this installer, buying him lunch each day, offering him breakfast and coffee when he had to return on a weekend to fix a leak HE caused. After they agreed to refund 50% until completion, they moved up the install by an additional week, starting on a bank holiday.*Note: all of the materials hadn't arrived as ReBath claimed. Our floors for our master bath were no longer sold by Rebath's supplier so we were going to have to select new floors and the showerheads were not the ones Alex Flore's showed pictures of when we signed the paperwork. Also, shower doors, ReBath claims, are never ready at time of install. You always have to wait a week or more after the install for the doors to be delivered. Would have been good to know when signing paperwork. Turns out, the 50% completion funds they wrote us a check for was not cashable. They had put a stop payment on it. But now they had already started work for a solid day. So, when we accused them of playing games, they told us they had no idea there was a problem with the check. More pushing resulted in them saying that we "were never supposed to cash the check. Just hold onto it until the work was complete." We told them to stop all work until they started being honest and gave us a check we could cash. They then accused us of refusing service and threated to bill us around $2000 for each day we didn't let them finish the install. It has been a year since I entered into a contract with Re-Bath. My small bathroom was to take 1 week to 10 days to complete. I am a disabled senior who requested grab bars and a safe shower. After 8 weeks of my home treated like a private workshop, I was left with debris, unknown spills on the floors, caustic materials used, unauthorized funds taken from my bank account, unsafe plumbing and electrical, paint that pilled off the walls, two items that could not be installed for lack of how to install 2 doors, destruction of the new vanity I was asked to purchase, workmanship so bad that I had to have all the walls and ceilings redone, along with the plumbing and electrical, baseboards, etc. It was the worst decision I have made. We just had two bathrooms renovated which took approximately 2 1/2 weeks and could not be happier with their workmanship. Mike and his crew came everyday from literally 7:00 AM in the morning and worked anywhere from 7:00 to 10:00 PM at night. Mike who trimmed, cut and installed all of their stone work is an artist and a real professional and is a tribute to his profession. New custom vanities, toilets were installed along with removal of our bath tubs to have strictly step in showers (what a difference). We used Rebath about 9 years ago and had them do our two bathrooms along with our powder room this time around due to the positive experience we had 9 years ago. The you want precision work done ask for Mike. Last but not least, they were very clean and made sure everything was covered. You should consider Rebath of Oxnard when thinking of your bathroom renovations. Yes, there are negative reviews which we looked at prior to calling Rebath and there is a side story to everyone one them. I had ReBath install a bath tub liner some years back. It recently developed cracks due to the tub liner pulling away from the substrate. I contacted ReBath to see if it could be repaired or replaced. I was instructed to email photos to the Manager, Doreen, so she could review the cracks and provide me with next steps. When I emailed the photos I never heard back and had to email twice before getting a response. The response I received was her stating that she could not locate my original paperwork and asked if I had the original invoice. I responded that I did not have the original invoice and that if the repair could not be covered by warranty, I'd like a quote to have it replaced, anyway, and would pay for it. I never heard back. After 3 weeks of calling and leaving messages with the receptionist, with no call back, I finally spoke w/James, who agreed to follow up with Doreen. He was the only employee of this company that actually did what he said and got back to me. He and Doreen came out that day and took pictures. James stated that the liner was possibly installed incorrectly. I told them that if the tub liner could not be replaced or repaired under warranty, that I'd still be interested in paying for a new liner or even possibly a whole new tub and surround. Doreen informed me that she would check with their corporate office about the warranty and let me know if it would be covered. She promised to call me the following Friday. I was hopeful that I would now be getting this company to engage with me. Well, guess what? The next Friday came and went... and the next, and the next, and the next. I have never heard back and I still have no idea if the tub liner can be replaced under warranty, or even if I pay for it. It is obvious this company does not stand by their product or have any interest in actually taking on any installation jobs, for that matter. Their customer service is non-existent, for the most part and the front office personnel are great at blocking callers from actually speaking to anyone that can help. I have waited a long time to write our Re-Bath experience and I have a lot to share with you. We contracted with Re-Bath to remodel our master bath in February 2018, the job was sort of finished by the end of September some 7 months later. The total price was $7,766. What occurred during this seven months period is a story of disaster after disaster. Let's briefly describe the job. Replace small old corner shower with new large shower in place of existing spa tub. Re-bath agreed to use old shower valve, controls and head as they were all new. Re-bath asked if we wanted old shower walls removed and we said of course. Removal was an additional $700. This was of course not needed as Re-Bath had to remove old shower walls to reuse fixtures and to reinforce other side of wall for mounting new heavy glass door. So advice number one, do not agree to pay for demolition if they have to demolish to install new shower. After many weeks of phone calls Re-Bath finally sent us an installer. Young nice kid who started work immediately. What began to show was that this kid was totally unprepared to do the work. He pounded on the old shower wall knocking a hole through wall and stucco on the outside. The new shower material was mounted in a warped amateurish fashion. He mounted horizontal surfaces angled so water would pool instead of runoff to drain. He did not caulk most of the seams creating many water intrusion points. He did not install studs in wall for mounting the heavy new glass shower door. Re-Bath finally fired the kid and sent a new tech to fix the errors. They did not catch the lack of studs and the glass installers mounter the 100 lb glass door with screws into only dry wall. Guess what the door started to fall of. Workers came to work on weekends and sometimes worked until 7 PM. For all these many months we were with out the use of our master bathroom. We paid the initial 50% of the fee with a credit card. Big mistake as once they have your credit card number, Re-Bath decides when to collect installments without your review or approval. Advice always pay with check and not until Re-Bath keeps agreements including schedule. Today our shower looks pretty good but the water still pools on the window sill which I have to remove after every shower. Re-Bath said they would not fix water pooling problem on sill. I had to caulk all the places they missed. We sent a letter with this content to Re-Bath asking for a partial reimbursement for all the hassle and lack of use of our master bath and never even got a response. If you use them please take use my suggestions and good luck. read more

We recently had a shower remodel done by Rebath. The installer, Cesar, gets five stars from us. He was friendly, courteous, hardworking, and efficient. Cesar was an excellent professional in every way and we are very pleased with the end product. On the other hand, interactions with the office staff/management left a lot to be desired. Our original order (made in late January 2022) with the salesperson, Alex Flores, went fine. But thereafter communication from the company about when the work would be done was non-existent. The original estimated date for installation was late March to late April. When those dates passed with no word from Rebath, we contacted the office in early May and promised return phone calls and emails never materialized. Only our repeated phone calls to them brought us any information. We understand the current challenges presented by supply chain delays and labor shortages. But the failure of the company to be pro-active in communicating with customers who have already paid thousands of dollars upfront is simply very poor business practice. And for those reasons, we can't recommend this company despite the very fine work of Cesar. read more

We ordered a bathtub and wall replacement in October 2020 and were told it would be installed around the end of December. In February they came out to install and had obtained the wrong color. They were able to get the correct color and came out and installed. It was done so poorly, there were gaps in the back wall behind the tub where you could push and feel a space between the wall and liner. Also he put two holes in another wall and there were areas that weren't sealed. It looked horrible. We called Rebath and after lots of pictures to Doreen they re-ordered the back wall liner and it's now the middle of May and the promised date of today was pushed back because they haven't received the order yet. No install date set now because they are back ordered. Also were told the holes in the wall were probably already there! If you do decide to do business with this company make sure you have at least 8 months to wait for it to be done correctly (hopefully) and put "Time is of the essence" on the contract you sign because otherwise it's not.
