The price for fabrication here was by far the best out of 3 quotes I got. That is just the beginning. I haven't even had the quartzite installed yet and I'm blown away by the caring and service of Edward. He immediately went to pick up my quartzite from the location I bought it from, found a slight flaw that another fabricator had missed, got me some money back from the store due to the flaw, and brought the refund to my house!! We will hide the flaw in an appliance garage in the corner of the counter. He even took the time to check all similar slabs at the stone store, to make sure I got the best one, and called me to keep me in the loop every step of the way. He got Nothing out of all this other than being a super mentsch! He is on time, friendly, professional, intelligent- seriously a joy to deal with. They say they will call you with a window of time to come out to measure but they just show up out of the blue. Was told my countertops would be finished Tuesday but they did not come back until Friday. Factor in the cost of a plumber to come out to hook up a sink when buying from them, even though you purchase the sink through them. Make sure they leave you the pieces from your old sink or you will need to get a new garbage disposal like I did. Over $2,000 in labor cost only to be left with no working sink, filthy floors, and debris all through my front yard. They even demanded cash (not a check) when the install was finished even though I had already paid them $2400 in cash. And don't fall for that invisible seam they promise. read more

We ordered and payed in advance for a threshold marble piece. We sent over the measurements and the difference between the floors so that the piece would fit correctly, and waited patiently for the piece to be ready. When it was picked up it was not to the agreed cut, and when we called we were laughed at and told what we had paid was not true. As well as being told we were being a waste of time for asking for an invoice to show what we had paid, saying tomorrow it will be sent and saying there was nothing more he could do for us in regards to the piece. Ashorr hung up on me as I was trying to get this resolved and asking for it to be fixed to our agreed plans or get a refund. We also don't like wasting time on calling and trying to get this paid for piece to our agreed cut, but this has now extended to another day of it not being completed. read more

West coast marble installed my countertops. There was a damaged spot on the slab in the middle of the island. After many attempts to get them to fix the spot, I gave up and have had to live with it. Our experience with them was great and far exceeded our expectations. Firstly, he was more affordable than our other two quotes. Secondly, not only were they all on time, but they arrived early to work, were very clean, friendly, and helpful. Not only did my countertops and backsplash turn out perfect, but we had a small piece of quartz slab left over and Ashur offered to install it on our downstairs bathroom countertop for for free. His employees (who we loved) also helped take down an old outdated wall of mirrors that I hated (at no charge) We could not have been happier with their work! Everything turned out amazing! In regards to Ashur's comments. Why in the world would I accept a scratched slab for my house? And let's be clear here, I'm not talking about a few hairline scratches as you stated. I'm talking about numerous scratches across the entire length of the slab as though something heavy was dragged across it. At no point did you indicate that the slab would be delivered "as is" and damaged. You also state I worsened the condition by trying to polish it unprofessionally. Exactly how did you get that information? I spent 8 hours sanding and polishing it and it looks perfectly fine... now. This is something you guys could have done in a couple of hours but refused to do so. To be fair, the cutting and installation was impeccable but I cannot upgrade the review because of your poor business skills. If you had only told me it was going to be more to polish I would have probably paid the extra cost. However, from the beginning you attempted to frame this transaction as though it was my fault. I am a customer and I am not familiar with your business. I never even looked for scratches on the "remnant" because I assumed that it would be delivered in perfect condition. For some reason you decided that I did not deserve a perfect piece because you gave me such a good deal (in your mind). Here's some advice for you. Live with the deals you make and do the best job you can for your customers. You have no one but yourself to blame when you deliver less than satisfactory results. read more

I did shop with the very competitive other companies. Most sound nice and cheap and then somehow the initial quote becomes twice the price for the entire job for just adding some very small items to match the job. Ashur was very low pressure. He asked helpful questions and nothing was a problem. He was honest about the price. I did have a few unforseen additional items and a very small additional countertop for an adjoining bathroom. He took care of it and did not charge me extra even though I offered to pay. His price was the absolute best. The quality of the job is excellent. read more

I am writing to upgrade my review a bit. The manager called today, and we had a long and productive talk. I think he cares very much about his business and the way his clients view it. Our happiness/unhappiness with the project seemed VERY important to him, and that was wonderful to hear. We came to the conclusion that communication was greatest problem - communication between the manager and the our window installer and with the workmen. In my opinion, ALL of our problems (incorrect size of shelf, missing weather-stripping, and holes for window pins) could have been prevented had the workmen first allowed us to look over their work plan and later asked us to check over their work before leaving. To me, this should be standard practice for all workmen. In the end, the granite slab they used is lovely, as is the quality of the work (corners, seams, etc.). We'll learn to live with the shelf as it is, and the other problems have now been fixed. If you decide to work with West Coast, just be sure to ask to see their plan and make sure everyone is on the same page. read more

Ashur worked with us for a smaller project. Our master bath counter top. We were able to quickly find a nice piece of granite with his help (we do not have a good design eye). Being an engineer I'm fairly particular in "How" the granite would be cut and edge details I was every specific in what made wife and I wanted. Great news! Just finished our third project in our home with West Coast Marble and we couldn't be happier with their work. We did a kitchen, bar wall and master bath and they are all beautiful and perfect. Worst communication skills of any construction type company I have ever had in my home or in business (18 years as a facilities manager). The man who I presume is the owner, he also does the measurements, is arrogant and does not take the time or interest to communicate nor to give good service. He's got your deposit and that's all that matters! Workmanship was acceptable but workers arrived late with no calls to give notice. Installation dates were vague and then calls to schedule came in at the last moment.
