I'm just going to put this out there and say that Dr. Sarah Ghorbanian is, hands down, the best. If you are looking for an all-around better life, check her out. When I met Dr. Sarah about six years ago, I struggled with frequent headaches, low energy, sinus issues, and just generally felt about 30 years older than I was. I had no idea that chiropractic care could help, and I must admit, I was a little skeptical. Over the years, Dr. Sarah has been there for me in so many ways! She is truly an over achiever. My parents (and even my dogs!) have been helped tremendously by chiropractic adjustments over the years. Oddly I never tried them for myself until now. What a difference! I love getting a good cracking from Sarah ever couple weeks. Having a generous insurance plan is a wonderful thing, but even if you don't have great coverage, she will work with you to make treatment affordable paying out of your own pocket. I didn't have any serious injury or chronic medical issues, but was starting to have weird pains in my right hip and charlie horses in my right leg. That's all gone now. Dr. Sarah is hands down one of my favorite people. Dr. Sarah is the bomb.com. Seriously she changed my life! I was getting regular headaches from an accident years earlier and had some neck pain that was pretty frequent, and figured it was just a part of my life. Then every time I got up after sitting down for a while I would have pain in my hip that would go away after about 30 seconds of walking around- live-with-able but not ideal. Now I'm pain free and have gotten into fitness and all around wellness and even ran a marathon. I found Dr. Sarah last fall (via Yelp), when the combination of stress, a desk job, and a horrifically long daily commute turned me into an old lady with constant neck and shoulder pain. I didn't know anything about chiropractic care except that I probably needed it, but she explained all of its whole-body benefits to me, and I was sold. My back felt as good as new within a couple months, and I continue seeing her for maintenance to prevent going back into old lady mode prematurely/ever. I love the whole "wellness hangout" vibe of her office - it's the opposite of your typical sterile doctor's office, and more of a modern space where you can hang out and sip tea with your new back-crackin' best bud, Sarah. So enough about the doctor stuff - another reason you should give Sarah a visit is because she is just an awesome person. After moving to the area, I needed to find a new chiropractor, but didn't put too much effort into the search until I slipped down my stairs and my back and neck were sore and stiff. Called Dr. Sarah and she was able to get me in the same day and I immediately felt better. Went back a few days later and was back to feeling 100%. Now I just go as needed, for adjustments. She had flexible hours, which are great for those of us who work and she usually can make appts with short notice, which is great for those of us who aren't always good planning ahead. I started going to Sarah after having my back seize up one night, after doing a lot of walking in some bad shoes, in the snow. Sarah asked me a lot of great questions about my sleeping/exercise habits, which led to the discovery of quite a few things that I'm now trying to adjust and change in my daily life. She took some Xrays my first time meeting with her, which showed that my spine was slightly out of alignment, and we talked about ways to get it back to where it should be. This was the first time I'd ever been to/adjusted by a chiropractor, so I was slightly nervous for the adjustment part, but Sarah made me feel super comfortable and explained exactly what she was going to do, and it made my back feel SO MUCH better than it had felt mere hours before. And with every subsequent visit since my first visit, my back has felt better and I can tell my alignment and posture are also getting better. Sarah is so warm and you can tell she genuinely cares for the well being of her patients, which is so refreshing. I began Uber-driving in September 2015 and much as I like it, it's led to some back issues, which led me to Sarah just before in November 2015. After two sessions with Sarah, I was ready to drive to Cincinnati for Thanksgiving. The same soreness arose in December, and again I saw Sarah twice and was good to go home to Ohio for Christmas. My back was in great shape until March 2016, when the pain returned. As always, Sarah set me straight and at that point I decided to see her every four weeks. Each session with her makes my back loose and limber. She's extremely knowledgeable about her business and she gave me a list of helpful stretches to do at home. Sarah's office space is sunny, welcoming, and refreshing -- like a really nice, really big apartment. It overlooks the Swedish Bakery on Clark Street in Andersonville. Her exercise machines are excellent for stretching my back either before or after (or both) my session with her. Best of all, Sarah is as sweet as can be. I absolutely love Sarah, I go get an adjustment at least once a month and have been to several chiropractors in my life but Sarah is one of the BEST! Her office is very easy to get to and is beautifully designed, the parking spot in the back has proved to be very useful as well. My experience with Dr. Sarah has been truly unique. I initially sought out a same day appointment after a shoulder injury that caused issues in my shoulder, back, arm and fingers. The website was awesome and I was able to get an appointment scheduled very quickly. The initial exam and consultation was very thorough. It was a pretty extensive problem so it took several appointments to get back to normal, but along with adjustment work, Dr. Sarah gave me exercises and stretches to do at home which helped expedite the pain relief and healing process. Although sligjtly less frequently now that my primary complaint was reaolved, I continue to see her on a regular basis for general adjustments and working on long term corrections for bad habits and postures that cause my body duress. In addition to being incredibly good at what she does, Dr. Sarah is an exceptionally intellegent and compassionate person. Her patient care includes plenty of time to discuss your concerns from a whole health perspective. She cares about all aspects of your health; mind, body and spirit. She uses her wealth of knowledge to support you in anyway she can. And has a network of additional healthcare professionals who can offer assistance in areas she doesn't specialize in. She keeps an environment of calm and relaxation in her office. It feels more like the home of a friend where you can stretch, relax, drink tea before or after your session if you like. It feels like you belong to a community. I have been to a number of chiropractors over the years but Dr. Sarah has become not only one of my longterm healthcare providers on my care team now but someone I consider to be a friend as well. I started seeing Sarah about a year and a half ago and I am so lucky that she introduced me to my first chiropractic experience. Initially I was very skeptical and nervous about chiropractic services. However, during my initial visit, it was easy to see that Sarah truly cared about my health and making me comfortable. As a mental health professional, I really appreciated that she acknowledged how big a role mental health plays into our physical health as well. After an assessment and x-rays, Sarah gave me my first adjustment and she was very sensitive to me being nervous. The adjustment was gentle and individualized for me. After moving to Oak Park, I attempted to find a new chiropractor and quickly realized there is no one quite like Sarah. So I make the long commute to Andersonville for my adjustments, and it is worth it. I recently bought a new mattress and was waking up sore. After speaking to Sarah about this concern, she gave me a pillow to try at home and said if I liked it I could buy it and if not, just bring it back. I didn't even know she sold items such as pillows at her office, so it ended up working out great because the pillow she recommended has made a huge difference in my sleep. Sarah's office is very clean, welcoming, and home-like. She always has fresh fruit, water, and tea in the kitchen. She is always very positive, friendly and welcoming. I love that on days I need to be in and out quickly, I can walk in and be out in 15 minutes. I WAS SCARED. Whenever you see chiropractors in movies, they're cracking people's necks and it just looks so PAINFUL. Or maybe it just seems that way based on the sound! Needless to say, I swore I'd never visit a chiropractor due to this misconception. Instead I tried myriad other ways to rid myself of chronic back pains, sleeplessness, and general weariness. Now I could honestly kick myself for not seeing Dr. Sarah sooner. She is one of the most compassionate professionals I've consulted about my health. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Sarah and Re: Chiropractic and Wellness. I recently started getting adjusted and have been going back two times a month to keep my body feeling much better. Working out and seeing Dr. Sarah has made my body feel so much better. She has helped relieved pain in my neck and my back, along with some lower back pain associated with lifting. From our first consultation I have been impressed with RE and with Dr. Sarah. The office is stunning! You certainly don't feel like you are in some cookie cutter doctor's office. I had not seen a chiropractor since the mid-90s, but after feeling some stiffness in my lower back, I thought it was worth seeing a chiropractor to assess my spinal alignment. Sarah was extremely thorough in asking me questions on my first visit (any past or current issues, injuries, family history, etc.) to get the clearest picture possible on where to begin treatment, and I immediately felt comfortable. After the adjustment she did let me know that some soreness was normal, and one area in particular was, which has been carrying tons of tension for a long time and is slowly releasing now after my second treatment. Sarah has made my life so much better! I work as a transcriptionist and sit for many hours a day, and when I started going to Sarah I was having consistent back pain that was making it hard to sit for long periods of time and to work, which really scared me. I'd been seeing someone else and the pain had just been getting worse. She was really comforting and explained the process on the first visit and made it clear that although she thought she could help, if the pain didn't improve quickly, we would make a new plan. She also thought carefully about what exercises to suggest for different kinds of pain I was having. Honestly, in a few months I saw a really dramatic improvement. Through a series of very fortunate events, I began seeing Dr. Sarah in April of this year. I had been a chiropractic patient on and off throughout my life, but in my almost 8 months with Dr. Sarah I have come to realize just how individualized chiropractic care can and should be.
