I went to Auto Zone to have them diagnosis the issue. It was exactly what was E valve repaired. So Manny, tells me to don't over fuel and "Reset" my check engine light. Whew! a month later same issue. again, he resets my check engine light. 3rd time I consented to a smoke test, They determined it was a 02 censor!!!!!!! And I decided I would have the repair done later. Now my car isn't starting after fueling. So I take it to have 02 censor replaced. Same issue my vehicle will not immediately start. I take at least 3 keys turns. Mind you I have AAA, and I was suppose to get 10% off PARTS & Labor. Manny only discounted the labor. I went back and brought this to his attention with the printed information AAA has online & the issue with my car not starting. Manny's slick talk, bring on Monday, I will order the part it's under warranty. I also had 4 new tire installed, My tire monitoring system has been activating ever since, and all he done is bring out a device and places against the tire and says its registering. The front passenger TPMS was damaged upon it being removed from the old tire and placed on the new one. Again, he denies this fault. I picked up my vehicle, on a Tuesday, March 10, 2026 and check enging light was off, and it started with easy. I did fuel it to see if I would have any issue with the starting. On Thursday, the same issue presented itself without the check engine light on. THIS SHOP IS NELIGENT... I AM A WOMAN, AND I WAS TAKEN Advantage OF. If you don't have money to lose, DO NOT HAVE YOU VEHICLE REPAIRED AT THIS CROOKED ESTABLISHMENT. THE DECEIT IS normal business practice. subpar parts are used. Go in to pick up the keys, which is what uhaul said was only requirment. I ask the desk agent for the keys, lady says owner handles that he will be right out. Owner has me folllow him into a back room and says system is down. I said here is everything I uploaded and my confirmation number, his response that means nothing and wouldn't look at my phone. He asks for id and cc. I provided both. Then says I need a veifiier that we can reach out to if needed, that knows why I need this rental. What? Gave him a name. Starts asking me where am I taking the truck from one house to another. He then says insufficient answer. What? Verifier not acceptable tell me another verfiier that is related and local. I said I have rented many uhauls at other locations and haven't been talked down to like this ever. He says "get out" we are done you are not renting my truck. Guy after me says I need the keys to the biggest box truck all paid ready to go, he takes one look at him and says I have no information. Kid says I am not going thru that stupidly long process again, and the owner says "get out you are not getting my truck. While we are both outside waiting for uber we called main uhaul number and complained as the owner prevented us from cancelling. Uhaul did right by us. This gas station needs to close. Its impossible to get a uhaul same day and this owner knew that. Stop giving your money to this complete ignorant tyrant.

Very Disappointed in the "12-Point Inspection" and Customer Service…read more We brought our car to Hometown Auto in Stoneham on April 19 for a routine oil change that included a 12-point inspection. Just eight days later, our car died while we were traveling out of state--right in the middle of Letchworth State Park. We were stranded for nearly two hours waiting for AAA, which was incredibly stressful. When the technician arrived, he jump-started the car and immediately noticed severe corrosion on the battery terminals. He said it was one of the worst he'd seen. We had to cut our trip short and find an AutoZone to replace the battery that same day. That technician echoed the same sentiment about the corrosion. Yes, shame on us for not looking under the hood ourselves before the trip--but that's exactly why we count on routine services like a 12-point inspection to flag major issues. A severely corroded battery should have been obvious. When I called to express my concerns, "Mark" offered a vague apology before going on the offensive, claiming we never follow through with recommended repairs. We actually do--we just do them closer to home. I checked all our receipts from past visits and not once has a battery issue been mentioned, verbally or in writing. Mark ended the call by saying, "If you don't like it, then don't come back." That was both unprofessional and disappointing. We've been loyal customers, but this experience--with both the lack of real inspection and the dismissive attitude--makes us question the integrity of the service here. We will not be returning.
