Contacted them to arrange for a regular weekly dog walk for my American Pit bull terrier, and was told "Unfortunately, pit bulls are on our list of breeds we don't accept. Good luck." My dog is sweet and is a great walker. He is well trained. How sad in this day and age that someone cannot only discriminate, but also turn down regular business. Recently I had to go abroad for a week, I was looking for a pet sitting service for my 2 furry friends. I used to go travel with them everywhere since I've adopted them 2 years ago, but 12 hrs of flight would be too risky fo them. When I moved to Irvine a couple of months ago, I've seen a car parked with an ad like "pet sitting service" -- it turned out that was Steve's car :) -- and I took a photo and saved his number, I thought I would need that service sooner or later. And finally, the thing happened, so I called Steve and asked a free consultation. By the way, Steve is super pet friendly. My two furry friends Cici(Maltese) and Coco(Maltipoo) are a bit barky, but Steve knows how to make friends with them. So they just became friends while the consultation goes! He introduced his services, and I chose the 'travel plan'. I got brief instructions to prepare before I leave. One-page guide is really important not only for Steve but also for my dogs. Even though he is a pro, he's not familiar with my dogs as much as I am. As he asked, I tried my best writing that guide as much as possible -- feeding, potty, going for a walk and so on. While I leaved, Steve sent me some email updates with a photo! It looked like they had good times. And when I came back, I was so satisfied with his daily notes!!! Steve wrote down everything he did for them!!! That was awesome! I can guarantee that no one can beat this kind of pet sitting service! We met Steve in 2006 as we had the need to have Pet sitting while we travel. We are extensive travel and we require the utmost care and love for our Cats. Well let us say that Steve and his company is second to none. He and his team not only care and love for our cats, he has saved 3 of our past 4 cats lives. 1st - He aided in caring for our DSM 17 year cat with renal failure by administering daily subcutaneous fluids daily for 2 years. Casey lived a normal healthy 3 additional years because of Steve. 2nd - He identified that Bella our DSM female had urinary bleeding while cleaning the liter. It saved her life of 2 very large bladder stones. 3rd After Casey passed on at 20 years old we adopted Oreo. A loving rescue who's biggest vice is he loves to talk, and we mean talk daily hourly and loudly. Oreo one day went into Inflammatory bowel disease attack where he could not eat for 2 weeks. After emergency surgery to give him a feeding tube, he was fed via that tube for 6 weeks until back to health. Steve was right there daily changing the litter and feeding Oreo while we were at work and giving him his medication. Oreo is back to full health and no longer needs to be fed. He's eating like a champ. Needless to say we would and don't trust anyone with our feline companions except for Steve. His company does the general stuff but you have to know that because of Steve's company and their service we employed While You R Away daily for 5 years!! My boyfriend and I recently had Steve pet sit our cat during a trip we made to New York. He was absolutely fantastic and made us feel at ease the entire time. I was worried about leaving our little kitty alone during our trip as she needs medication twice a day and isn't alone that often. But Steve made sure she was taken care of. I read the one star reviews for this company, especially Steve, and am completely shocked! If you actually read them you'll know they are not at all warranted. Steve and everyone at his company has been more than amazing to us and our entire family of pets. We've known about his services for a while but just recently started using him since we moved to the OC. He comes by for a complimentary consultation to get to know you and your pet, in my case a Scruffy little mutt, and to go through your animal's routine with you. He makes sure to check out your place and make any accommodations necessary. They also administer medications for free when you're away on vacation. While we were away, Steve sent me picture updates and messages regarding Scruffy and what a good boy he was being. They also leave you a report card on how he did on walks and how much food he ate, mood he was in, etc. I cannot thank him and Megan enough for being such amazing caretakers of my mutt! I am a business professional that balances work and life and my life would not be so amazing without my fury kids! I recently moved to OC from Pasadena and needed to find another sitter for my regular travel. I found Ready Pet Go on Yelp and made a call. Steve got right back to me and booked an appointment for meet and greet. I have two dogs and a cat. My little dog is 16 and can't see or hear well and my other dog is a rescue with anxiety over vets. Don't bother calling this service if you can't promise that you'll use them frequently. I called for service once a day (for three days) at $30.00 a visit. The owner would only visit 2x a day..$60/day. Although the price was double, I understood his reasons, and accepted this program. However, he then he made it very clear that my $180 was an inconvenience to him if I couldn't promise to use him frequently. He quizzed me about our amount of travel, and when I communicated that this was a special trip, we are not in a position to travel frequently, he pretty much cut me off. I'm certain that if he had been more gracious, I would have found a reason to use his service again. I am more disappointed by the way I was treated than the fact that I don't have a person to watch the critters! read more

We have a dog who eats everything and an 18 year old cat with kidney failure that needs subcutaneous fluids. There is a negative comment in the review section that Steve is a "control freak". This is not true. Rather, Steve wants to know every detail about how to optimally take care of your pet in your home environment. He wants to do things the way you want them done. If you want your pet cared for properly, you WANT this attention to detail. This approach gives me peace of mind that I don't have to worry about anything being done incorrectly.
