I had a tire blowout on I-5 south in Olympia. While waiting on the shoulder for the tow truck that my insurance company sent (as my car does not come with a spare); Kyle from RST pulled behind us to see if he could help because he saw us disabled on the shoulder. I told him we had another tow coming; but he said he would stay with us with his hazard light bar flashing to provide extra protection to us on the busy highway. Then, when our other tow truck arrived after about half an hour; Kyle from RST helped the other tow driver with hooking up our vehicle, all without asking for or expecting a single dime. my experience with this company, even though it was short-lived working for them small company working on going big buying out other companies, combining it into one bigger company nothing wrong with expanding. Though this company could be a better bigger company in the long run it lacks communication and business ethnic. I worked for another company at one time and it seems like a lot of towing companies, including this one will hire a lot of drivers, but not enough vehicles to fill those spots that was one of the things I noticed. I'm not gonna say my experience working. There was perfect. I had my fallout. But as the saying goes, fix the problems you have going on in your company before you expand to a bigger system. I was questioning whether to get on at the very beginning but I told myself I can make this work. I like towing a lot. I've done it before we're gonna make this work but as time went on. I ended up getting yelled at for things that weren't even my fault. When you've got multiple drivers sharing trucks it gets complicated on who stuff is whose if you don't have the communication going correctly, I ran into the same problem at another towing company as well. overall, there are some positives with this company. They know how tow but they have a lot of work to do before they become the big company they want to be. I really hope they can fix there problems before they go bigger. it's like if you're having problems in the dating section between you and somebody you're gonna have worse problems in marriage fix the problems you have before they get worse. read more

Police had them take my stolen car to hold it at their lot. $571 for today and another $160 the next day. I'm poor and struggling to work without a car. I couldn't afford so basically they take my car and I lose my hard work. They are criminals too. If I could give no stars I would. This has been some of the worst service I have ever received. They informed my insurance company that they could be to my vehicle in no more than 90 minutes. After 2 hours went by, and we call to ask why they aren't here, they claim to be 30 minutes away. 45 minutes later, I call again to then be told it will be at least another hour before they can be to us. They are liars and tried to scam us. They never showed and we ended up having to call a completely different place 4 hours later. Don't waste your time and go somewhere else. read more

I have been waiting for them to come pick my car and I up for 2 and a half hours now. My insurance had to contact another towing company because I've been stranded for this long. This is the second time I have been assigned this towing company and this is the second time they have taken longer than what I was told it would take for them to pick me up. I have unfortunately had to have multiple vehicles towed during my lifetime, and I must say that Alex was the most likable person who I have ever encountered. He was laid back and professional. He managed to complete the complex task of getting my car out of a small parking plaza with apparent ease. I recommend him to anyone who needs to have a refreshing encounter during the difficult time of having their vehicle towed. Bruce was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to drop my car off at my mechanics shop while I rushed to a holiday party. (This is a shared account.) I can't even understand how this place is in business. My car was in an accident and the police called this tow company. We had them tow the car to their yard while I found a body shop to take my car, which I did that day. My husband, who was in the accident and at the scene, called to tell them to release the car and the body shop would pay for the tow. When I called two days later the body shop didn't have the car. I called the tow company and talked to a woman (Shontae?) who could not give me a straight answer. She said they had to hear from my insurance company, I told her my husband and I were the owners and have told them to release it. She claimed to have talked to me two days earlier when it was actually my husband, we have distinctly different voices as I'm a woman, but she swore it was me. She said they had to hear from the body shop. I called the body shop, they talked to her, they called me back, and told me word for word what I had to say for them to release the car. Which we had already said. I called the tow company back and full disclosure, I cussed her out and was quite vocal. I did not appreciate them wasting two days of my time and I knew they were going to try to charge me for it. She told me she had never talked to the body shop which was an obvious lie. She told me she was the only one in the shop. She would not let me speak which meant I could not tell her what I needed to in order for my car to be released. I was incensed. I told her I wanted to talk to the manager. When he called he said they could only release the car to the owner, lien holder, or insurance company. There is no lien holder and I pointed out for the umpteenth time I'm the owner. He said he had to talk to the insurance company and refused to release my car. He told me the check had to have my insurance company's name on it or there had to be proof that the money came from them and they were charging me for two days of boarding my car. I had my insurance investigator call him and she also ended up yelling at him. He admitted that my car had been legally released two days earlier and that despite that they hadn't towed it because he didn't have a check and they didn't know how much to charge. She pointed out if he didn't know how much to charge that would make it difficult for someone to cut him a check. She also pointed out that my vehicle was stolen, by him, since he didn't release it when told and it was still on his property. Unfortunately it was the end of the day so I would have to wait until the next morning. The body shop and tow yard were ten minutes apart. It didn't get to the body shop until just after noon. We were literally 30 minutes away from filing a police report for a stolen vehicle. In addition to all of this, when the police filled out their paperwork they said my car was NOT impounded. But the tow yard sent us a letter in the mail saying IT WAS impounded. Legally, if my car was on their lot after five days they could sell it. My car was an Audi. How much you want to bet they wanted to sell it for parts and had no intention of towing it? This business is negative stars. read more

I sold a car to a friend and it got stolen before he could get register it in his name. This company towed it and gave him a HUGE hassle trying to pick it up even though he was the one who filed the police report. After not letting him pick up the car and asking for him to pay his tow and sign over the car to him, over 2 weeks later he sends me a certified letter for the fees of his tow even though it was on record with the DOL that I sold it. This guy is very shady. I'll never do business with him. read more

I have roadside assistance and we were 3 miles out of our service so we would have to pay for 3 miles. We were contacted by Ready Set Tow and told that it would be $75 extra... on top of what they got from the roadside assistance company. I tried to ask what it was for and the diver was nice and said it was for the extra miles. I told them I was told it would only be $2-3 per mile (again for only the 3 miles). The driver said it's only $4 per mile. So I asked again why it was $75 then. He told me it was for the toll. Apparently they were coming from Tacoma to Allyn. I said so the toll is $63? He said I could talk to his dispatch and I said sure I'd like to speak with her. When I spoke with her she was rude right off the bat. She was irritated that I was even asking for a price breakdown. She told me it wasn't negotiable to which I replied I was not trying to negotiate. I was trying to understand the pricing. When I told her the driver said $4 she said ya plus the toll which I said couldn't be that expensive. She told me it was $35 (as you see in the picture it's not). I said but that's still not $75. She said again, It's the extra miles. But if it's only $4 per mile at 3 miles that doesn't make sense. Then she said, who told you it was only $4. I told her the driver did. In a rude tone she said he doesn't know pricing. I tried to ask what the price was then and she REFUSED to tell me. From start to finish this lady yelled at me and wouldn't tell me prices and then started adding reason after reason why it would cost so much but wouldn't give me prices. We did not end up using this company and I would NOT recommend them for o anyone. They are thieves and they are rude as hell. read more
