my wife wrecked her car. that's enough stress all on its own. we waited long enough for the tow to show that the officer actually called for an ETA. yeah was so long the officer call to find out WTF was up. when the tow driver showed, he wanted the key and wasn't going to say no. as far as he was concerned it wasn't going anywhere but into his storage yard. he argued about taking our car to a body shop EVEN AFTER I stated I'd just pay the bill. I spent 17 years in the towing & recovery industry (alongside being an automotive technician) and I sure hope that I never presented myself to the people I was serving like this guy did. safety chains weren't properly attached to my car. (hanging the safety chain from the outer tie rod in the steering system is WRONG) he took my credit card with a phone and didn't give me an itemized bill. also, I felt he overbilled by a half hour. I guess the only part he got right was my car at the body shop.... but as I stated, that was an argument. oh yeah, the emailed receipt wasn't well itemized. no start time, no stop time, no pickup or drop off location. I'd suggest doing business elsewhere. read more

Fantastic customer service! I called for a tow estimate on a very hot Saturday as my car's alternator had fried and was blowing the 80 amp fuses that power the electronic ignition (and everything else). -I have a very basic mechanical knowledge, and he suggested trying disconnecting the alternator first (battery still had a good charge) and seeing if it would start before he came out. This worked, and I was able to make it home without a tow! I'm a single mom on a very tight budget, and because of his help, I was able to avoid what would have been a financial hardship. I called for a tow earlier today do to my car breaking down and needed a tow from Lacey 0.9 miles from there yard (thus the reason I called them) to Lakewood 16 miles that's it they told me it would be a four hour round trip and quoted me $1500 I have a lowered Honda civic so I know they would need to bring a flatbed to tow but that's outrageous i then called nerd towing located in Lakewood they got to me in 40 minutes and had me home in 30 minutes for $250 I downloaded yelp specifically to to leave a bad review on patriot towing and recovery I do not recommend them whatsoever very bad business if you need a tow call need towing they will hook you up read more

Had my 91 Ford F250 towed less than a mile. Was told the price was 108$. Next day I look at my bank account and this placed charged me 163$ instead! Even though my invoice said 108 from the day of the tow. During the tow the driver was telling me about how his police response price was 250$. When I called to get the difference returned the guy on the phone tried to say that the driver got his police rates and regular rates mixed up. I told him that was bull as the driver told me what his police rate was. His then response was and I quote, "ha ha well you know, numbers." Almost immediately they returned the difference but I will never use this company again or recommend them to anyone. They very obviously are scamming people for more money. This is a shout out to Bill from Patriot Towing. if you are the owner, you're a great guy. If you're not, you have a great employee. You pulled my partner Steve and his ailing Honda out of the rush hour traffic at the intersection of College and Pacific. Ironically, we could see the repair shop from the spot where the alternator decided to give up the ghost. The shop had no way to tow our car and the shop owner and I were debating several options for getting the car and it's human out of the road. Meanwhile, back at the scene, Bill from Patriot appeared. He had seen Steve's dilemma, maneuvered his truck in front of the car, hooked it up and dropped them both at the door of the shop. I know this isn't always possible, but Bill was at my house within 10 minutes and got her car to the shop right away so that they could diagnose the issue and were able to obtain the necessary parts to make the repair early the next day! By far the worst towing experience I've ever had. My insurance company contracted Patriot to tow my car from my home to a dealership to be fixed. The tow driver spent an hour in the back of the dealership due to ice and eventually had to be towed out himself. Mother Nature is one thing, incompetence is another entirely. Why not leave the car you were paid to tow at its destination??? Patriot took my car back to their yard and assured me that it would be delivered the next day. They did not tow it the next day. In fact, it took a full 48 hours for Patriot to actually tow my car (the car they never should have been in possession of) to the dealership. During this time I made rational phone calls to the "office manager" to find out what the hold up was. This woman yelled obscenities at me, hung up on me, and continued to yell obscenities when she finally decided to answer my calls again and stop putting me on hold. Shame on you Patriot.
