The air duct in our house hasn't been cleaned for a very long time. I picked Rey&Eva based on the review online. Diego called ahead to ask me if they can come early and they did. He and his crew did a very thorough job with the air duct. They used a huge vacuum and other smaller vacuums all with HEPA filter. They also offered to clean the dryer duct and bathroom fan which they also did a great job with. Before they put back the vent cover, they put a filter on each one of them and turned on the furnace to let the filter catch any particles left in the vent which was a great idea. After it was done they showed me photos of the furnace blower and the before/after photos of the dryer duct. It is amazing to see how clean it is now. I highly recommend this company read more

We recently moved into a new home in El Cerrito and not knowing much about the old owners, wanted a clean start on the ducts and new filters installed. I found this company on Yelp (via Clear Thumb) and they had fantastic reviews and referrals The team was over at our house this afternoon, and I appreciated getting a call from them in the morning with an arrival time. They immediately got to work, being careful to leave their shoes off, neatly removing vent covers, marking all the locations with temporary blue tape so that they wouldn't get mixed up and performing the duct cleaning. Afterwards, Diego pointed out that our vents in the rooms were not sealed against heat loss, something that should have been done when they were installed in the house the first time around and quoted us a great price for the service. He went through and put heat tape on all the vents - thank you! Beyond that, Diego thoroughly inspected the ventilation system and pointed out things for me to think about in the future, like the fact that the heating system had a vent going to our uninsulated garage and that we would save energy by closing it off permanently. I have not had my older furnace and ducts cleaned in about 5 years so knew I was overdue to have them checked out. I read the Yelp reviews and was intrigued by the options and the quoted prices that were offered by Rey and Eva. The last cleaning was about 1 1/2 hours. Rey and Eva indicated that the cleaning would be about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. This also intrigued me. Diego showed up on time. He and his partner were conscientious, thorough and completed the job in the time indicated. I also added on dryer vent cleaning. They checked the condition of the furnace, air flow, and as much as possible the ducts. After they completed the job they showed me photos of the furnace blower and other components. They were so clean, they looked new. I highly recommend this company. Within the next couple of years, i need to have the ducts replaced. They are 40+ years and I can tell from the airflow into some of the rooms that they are leaking. Similar to Leo below, I found Rey and Eva on Yelp via Clear Thumb. I never expected to be wowed by a vent cleaning service, but WOW. Diego and his co-worker Alfredo were beyond amazing. They did a 3 bedroom home for us, plus our downstairs rental apartment, a dryer vent, and our furnace. First, these guys were super clean from start to finish. They proactively offered to take their shoes off and jumped in and out of them all night long as they worked between two flats and a garage; they carefully marked, removed, cleaned, and returned all of our vent covers; they set up all of their cleaning items, scrub brushes, wash bins outside and I noticed even brought their own hose; they were careful when they carried equipment in and out, and vacuumed our carpet around the vents when they were finished. In addition to the vent cleaning, they completely took apart our furnace and not only cleaned it with tools and vacuums, but literally hand scrubbed and dried the insides. Diego pointed out that all of my wall vent covers had never had proper screws put in, that they were all loose, and told me he would put them back on with longer screws so they were secure. I have a 3 story home on a slope and my dryer vent exits the house in a difficult location that can only be reached my a very tall ladder. They had one -- no problem. Diego also looked at my second furnace that had stopped working and quickly diagnosed the problem. Last, I had a dryer delivered in the midst of the service. I told the delivery guys to just leave it given that my dryer vent hadn't been cleaned yet. Little did I know that I let them leave without installing the electric cord on the back of the unit. Diego discovered this and did it for me before leaving. I envisioned a fairly passive process, but these guys worked HARD. They were constantly working and were at my home almost 6 hours. I could hear the gunk in my vents being sucked out and my vents look great. This was one of the few service checks that was truly easy to write. Great service, great value. Diego and Alberto came to service our house duct system along with our dryer duct. What I truly appreciate is both of these pros are extremely meticulous. They take their shoes off when they come into the house, they cover the floors where their hardware may be sitting, they cover the vents when there will be dust coming out of it, Diego communicates what he's doing, and he takes images of the ducts (before and after). Both are very easy to work with and they work quickly. Duct work cleaning isn't easy (and it's loud) with myriads of duct work under the floors and above the ceilings, and it's time consuming to do; so, that says quite a bit with how quickly and efficiently these two worked. Our house is mid-sized for a single floor ranch with an awful dryer vent; the work took about 4 hours to do for 13 vents. The images showed a vast improvement between the before and after. It went from crazy dusty to "oh my, there truly is a duct there!" Another thing I noticed right away is our house no longer smells like an old '60's house like it always did before. Now, it smells like nothing. I like nothing. Additionally, the air coming through the vents via our heating and air conditioner is a lot quieter. We were very lucky to find Rey and Eva Heating via Clear Thumb. Initially we contacted Clear Thumb, but Nir, the owner of Clear Thumb referred us to Rey and Eva Heating. I called them to do clean my air ducts. They were very professional and reasonably priced. Upon completion, we discovered that my furnace wasn't working. They recommended few models for me at a very reasonable price. I went with them to have my furnace replaced as well since I already knew that they worked well. They came back to install the furnace. They were very efficient, they were clean and respectful. They went above and beyond fixing little things along the way. I can't think of anything negative to say. My overall experience was great.
