This hotel isn't all that great. It was among one of the cheapest hotels I could find within a few days and I see why. The staff are nice and welcoming. The lobby entrance and view of the lagoon is the best part. You can catch the sunset here in February. And that's where the positivity ends. I didn't pay for breakfast or order any food at their cafe so I cannot speak on it. Breakfast is 300 pesos per person. They sell Starbucks coffee. Nearest Starbucks branch is a 24 minute walk. There is a pharmacy within walking distance but not like a 2 minute walk. There are some nearby restaurants but not many. My room was facing the street, which I don't recommend if you're a light sleeper. On my 1st night, the room smelled of mildew and remained that way throughout my stay. They use mainly cheap, MDF furniture and you can use how it's wearing off. Some of the beddings had small visible stains, which is gross to me. I would expect that from a motel. The wifi can be slow from the room during the day and sometimes at night. You're better off staying in the lobby if you want faster wifi. There's a small fitness center with a decent amount of equipment to workout. It faces the lagoon. Feels better when the sun is not out, hiding, or about to set since the windows aren't tinted. The bathroom shower never got hot during my stay. It was either semi-warm or on the way to being cold. The TV has mainly Spanish audio on most channels. But there are a few channels in English. No fridge or microwave in the room. Not sure why. Probably because they want you to buy food from them. If you want to book tours, there's a concierge desk in the lobby available from 8 am-4 pm. Some tours require a day in advance booking. I want to say their prices are higher. The nearest R1/R2 bus stop heading to Hotel Zona is a 3 minute walk. Going to downtown Cancun is right across. Both buses is 12 pesos per ride per person (or $1 USD). Runs from 5 am to 12 am. They seem to run pretty often no matter the time of the day. The nearest public beach is a 5 minute walk and has a bunch of seaweed. The seaweed makes the beach look less attractive but people are there. If I ever visit Cancun again, I have no desire to return to this hotel. read more

The hotel part of this place was decent, however, I'm glad I only stayed one night and not an entire week here. First off, avoid the restaurant inside... literally the worst service my wife and I have ever had for completely mediocre food. The room was clean and the pool was nice, but this hotel is definitely on the low key quiet side. My wife and I prefer a hotel that's a little more upbeat vibe and we just weren't feeling that here unfortunately. The views around here are pretty nice and a major plus for this hotel. There's also quite a few other shops and restaurants within walking distance, so we definitely walked elsewhere for dinner. For the price, I'd say this hotel is fair. It has a sweet view and the pool is nice. Negative things are that the hotel is on the side with the lake so you can't swim there, but there is a beach just over the street. Speaking of the street, it's not a lot around the hotel but there is bus stop almost just outside for less then a dollar that takes you both ways. Would not recommend this hotel. The linens were filthy. Sheets and pillows covered in long black hairs. Towels had face makeup stains. Hardly any hot water or water pressure in the showers, phone did not work at all, WiFi was spotty, curtains broken and could not fully close, no sound proofing at all and could clearly hear neighbors and hallway noises all night, the hotel also plays loud repetitive music by the pool late into the night and very early in the morning. Employees were very rude and not willing to kindly or easily meet simple needs like an extra blanket or towel for the pool. Food is extremely expensive and bottled water is $3USD for a tiny mini bottle. The food gave our party instant illness for 24hours so beware. The view of the lagoon is pretty, but the location otherwise is noisy and not located near any kind of shops, pharmacies, gas stations, or food or water in general. You will be locked into the hotels offerings if you do not venture out or bring your own. Absolutely I hidden gym in Cancun. On a recent trip to Cancun while searching for hotels I did not want to stay at Hotel row. I wanted to stay off the grid a little bit. This was the perfect choice. They're off the grid not that far maybe a mile. But a 12 peso bus ride will get you to the main strip if that's where you want to go. The staff, the food was excellent. The rooms were clean and spacious with an amazing view of the lagoon. The price was absolutely perfect. If you're in Cancun and you want a quiet place to stay but very beautiful and luxurious definitely the real in Cancun is the way to go. Booked through Travelocity for our 20th Anniversary from August 5, 2023 to August 8, 2023! Upon arrival there was an overwhelming smell in the lobby. We checked in continued to the room upon entering there was a strong smell of mildew so strong it was making me sick. There were dead bugs in the shower and the bathroom was filthy. We immediately went to the front desk and cancelled our reservation they told us that it would take about 30 days to receive a refund. I called three times the end of September because we had not received our refund and the lady hung up on me twice and the third time told me I had to send them an email. After sending the email three times I still have not received any response. I would definitely not recommend staying here as the whole experience was devastating! read more

The hotel is new. The pool is nice too. The service is absolutely horrendous. When I order food, it is regularly 45 min or longer. And that's for guacamole. I can't imagine how long a cooked meal would take. I ordered ice cream over 30 minutes ago and it's still not here. There are two other tables besides me so they are not busy. In fact the waiters are gathered talking instead of helping. The bar regularly runs out of ice. They out of Modelo now. You can't order just anything odd the menu as they are out of much of it. As for the hotel room, we have requested towels three times because they only supply one. There are two of us assigned to the room. The ice machine is broke, fixed then broke in a constant pattern. I especially liked that electricity worked when you inserted the key card into the slot, so this minimized energy waste--very nice touch! The hotel staff are all friendly, approachable, helpful, and speak English, which is especially important for me. My girlfriend and I stayed here for 8 days and what made us decide to book this hotel was the price ($90/night) and the gorgeous view with the modern decor. The service is nice and the workers are friendly. We returned to a clean room every day. Only thing is that this hotel is non-inclusive... meaning you will be paying extra for food and drinks if you wish to do so. The cost of eating at the hotel restaurant (dinner, not sure about lunch) is about $30 USD (average) for a couple and the drinks at the bar are SUPER overpriced. I believe it's $4 or $5 for a Corona Extra - a beer made and bottled in Mexico! So if you want a few drinks, order them with your meal. It's cheaper that why, not sure why. The view of the Laguna is spectacular. I recommend to book a room with a balcony on the 5th or 6th floor for the best view. Very modern in terms of fashion. Being that it was my first time traveling to Cancun (and first time in general) I learned my lesson to book at an all-inclusive resort. We spent hundreds of dollars more than we should have eating and drinking at restaurants downtown when we could have it all included at our hotel. Do yourself a favor and book with an all-inclusive resort, your wallet will thank me later :) Access to the bus to bring you downtown is about 5 minutes away (exit & walk to your right). Or just walk with your hand in the air and a bus will stop to pick you up. Buses run every 10 minutes or so, especially in busy months such as December and January (when they're swamped with tourists). Overall not perfect, but 4/5 stars good. I feel sorry for anyone who can't have a good time at the Real Inn Cancun. We booked through Hotels.com (Expedia) and got a fantastic deal in the middle of Spring Break, about $90 per night ---but because of our rebate program with Hotels.com, it was actually closer to $81.00 per noche. Having read all of the reviews on Trip Advisor & Yelp, we were forwarned about the shitty restaurant (3 stars) and avoided the place altogether, except for Day One breakfast. You really must know Spanish to successfully navigate this establishment. Just knowing how to say "Cafe Sin Agua" is helpful, because you won't get watered down "Americano" coffee. Manuel & Victor were among the most helpful staff members, but we got great Maid service when we discovered that 20 pesos ($1) goes a long way toward helping these hard-working locals survive. Bus fare is only 8 pesos, so our $120 (MX) tip for 6 nights paid our maid's bus fares for an entire week! The rooms are super clean and for the most part quiet --- except for those noisy Spring Breakers on Thurs, Fri, and Saturday nights. Not to worry, the A/C blower will mask out their revelrie. The location was excellent and close to all the necessary downtown and Hotel Zone spots. Don't bother with the Stock Cafe (in house restaurant) --- you can get a fantastic breakfast at Cafe Nader (downtown Cancun) for half the price, with much better coffee! I recommend "Real Inn Cancun" to anyone with a little patience and understanding of Mexico. Unlike other people here I didn't have a shitty experience. It was AMAZING ! This hotel is located in the beginning of hotel zone. Me and my bestfriend came to cancun early January right after New Years. After AIRBNB failed us I found Real Inn on Expedia. The staff here were super nice from the moment we got their. I believe the guy name "Jose" was super sweet ! He helped us get our stuff to the room and he also recommended us places to go and where to eat. Where to explore and how to get around with public transportation. Any questions that we had he answered with no problem. The staffs always greeted us the moment we leave and the moment we walk in. The rooms were super clean nothing to complain about at all. We had a beautiful view of the lagoon. Room was service okay just like any other hotel you would go to and we often go to the cafe downstairs to get drinks and food from time to time. The best part was that they had a starbucks there ! The view and the pool is amazing ! Our room had a fridge and a safe. As well as free wifi. For the price that you are paying for it's the biggest bang for your buck. We extended our trip an extra week cause of this hotel. The price was so reasonable and to change our flights was also so damn cheap. The first week we were staying on the other side of cancun at an all inclusive resort it got tiring and wanted a change. We used a bus for transportation as we were doing that we were also checking at hotels cause I knew we will stay another week, so one day we went to check out playa longusta And playa del tortuga. This hotel is across the street and directly in the middle of these two beautiful beaches. Service amazing, except one lady at the front desk, it was always a hassle to deal with but Ali and the rest of the crew were great. The pool they have is small not deep at all and it overlooks the water. I have to say it's great to see the sunset. Now bring towels from your room, or with you as the front desks gives you one but you have to pay 500 pesos so dumb!! as a deposit for each towel. That rule has to go. The rooms are huge and so damn sick, no fridge thou which really sucks. The beds are comfy and the bathroom is huge. I got the room on the second floor, ice machine was on first floor. No big deal. The balcony was nice it had a small table and two chairs. Great chill spot over looking the pool and water. The location is great and the bus is the best way to get around there as its only 60 cents to ride across town, so I feel that makes the location more unique. The bus drops you off on the front across the street and there is another stop about 100 feet from the hotel. If you are driving they do have a lot, which is really small so it will hold about 12 cars Max. The good thing is its also has a fence that closes up. It's basically attached to the hotel no long walk. If you decide to stay it's worth it. The AC is so strong rooms cool fast. The hotel is new and it's two years old. Plenty of other hotels to choose from in 2022. This one IS NOT IT. As soon as we arrived we were sent up to the 6th floor. Immediately exiting the elevator I felt the heat hit me like a ton of bricks. The room was extremely hot and humid, so humid that the floor was wet and felt hard to breathe (like a sauna) mind you, outside was fresh and nice all day long. My first thought was possibly Ac hadn't been on. I immediately turned the AC on the coldest setting (10celsius) waited 2 hours NOTHING. No cold air. I called the front desk from the room with no answer. Called from my cell phone and quickly got a response. They switched my room brought the key up (same floor) and it was a LITTLE fresher but still hot. Waited another hour and remembered when we walked up it must be the entire 6th floor. I called again to switch to a different floor but no answer from neither room phone or cell phone. We decided to just let it go and go to sleep. The room never cooled down. The bedding was dirty, there is no running water to shower. It's horrendous. The price is ridiculous for something you have to settle for. Save your time and book elsewhere. read more

We booked through Expedia and got a great deal! The staff was quite friendly, all around, despite other reviews saying otherwise. The beds and rooms are all clean and very modern. The restaurant is outdoors and had a really good menu, which is surprisingly normally priced. The pool is fantastic, though the jacuzzi isn't heated. The bar drinks are well priced and made fairly well! And overall I would prefer to stay here over any of the "all inclusive" resorts on the island. It's beautiful here and there is a bus stop nearby which the majority of people use. We did and saved a hundred dollars at least! Overall, I definitely recommend. I was told online this was only a three star hotel but for us it more like five. We stayed here for a week and the hotel is very clean and kept in good condition at all times. A nice public beach is located very close across the street. The room was awesome-beds were comfortable and the shower always had good water pressure. Central air conditioning worked perfect too. My only complaint was other gringos in the hotel were noisy at times but this of course is no fault of the hotel. The restaurant and 24 hour room service food was also very good and the prices were reasonable. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. We were too busy on tours and eating to enjoy the hotel and jacuzzi/gym but they looked superb. The bottom line is this hotel offers the best bang for the buck and you will not be disappointed. You can have a nice view of the lagoon and not the beach. Bus stop is less than 5 minutes walking. No breakfast included, and the food is average. I ate different places anyway. Room service is available 24 hours. The AC is good sometimes to cold and I would turn it off. They have Starbucks coffee, bar downstairs. Pool is always nice clean. Their restaurant and bar overlooks the bay and it's just perfect to sit under a palapa to grab a bite or drink with views to go with it. The rooms are very clean with awesome furnishings and the bathroom shower was so amazing! That rain shower was perfect and wasn't expecting such high end quality for the deal we got. We saved a lot of money by staying here and we felt like we were stealing because of the luxurious amenities they have. The staff are very friendly and are always helpful. Although my wife speaks Spanish, the staff know English quite well and are easy to interact with. We will only stay at this hotel every time we go to Cancun. We got a king sized room and I swear it was way wider than the king we have at home! The infinity pool and lagoon were beautiful. You cannot swim in the lagoon - but you can definitely walk across the street to the beach behind Casa Maya! Location was great - there's a bus stop directly across the street to bring us into downtown and walmart - and the bus on the same side as Real Inn Cancun takes us to coco-bongo area. Stayed here for my trip to Cancún and didn't really know what to expect after reading the yelp reviews. This hotel is located not to far from the hotel zone. There is a bus stop a short walking distance as well as the beach. I took the bus everywhere. 12 pesos a ride saved me so much money. The hotel is convenient because the bus ride is truly like a straight shot down and a straight shot back. I have never really ridden a bus before and it was easy for me to figure it out. I would recommend bringing your own towels as the towels they provide are outdated. Price for the hotel is economical with fun things to do all around. AC worked great in the room, bed did its job, room was clean, and staff was helpful/friendly. This is not an all inclusive hotel but we only stayed at the hotel a day and got to enjoy the pool/restaurant that day. Other than that we did a bunch of excursions. This hotel did the job for what we needed it for- sleep and swimming in a nice pool. The restaurant located in the hotel served decent food, it was basically the same menu as the room service. It was dimly lit, I would recommend adding more light because I could barely see the menu when I tried ordering at night. My husband and I spent 5 days in Cancun for our honeymoon. The Real Inn was beautiful. The view from our room facing the pool was gorgeous. Our room was on the 1st floor and we could walk out of our room right to the pool area. The staff was friendly and the food at their restaurant was pretty good. It was also very affordable. We could walk out of the hotel and to the right for about a block and catch the bus to other areas of Cancun. The bus system makes it very easy to explore. Room and pool area are nice and clean. 2 issues I have with the hotel are : 1) Housekeeping make so much noise on the corridor talking to each other and to other staff members. Manuel at the desk at night wasn't very nice but the facilities and service from other staff made my stay enjoyable. The hotel isn't in the middle of the 'strip', but that's a good thing. We spent two weeks there and I wished we didn't commit that long. We asked for a mini fridge and a cot two weeks before arrival as we have an infant with us. No one ever reply our email. They gave us one 10ml bottle of shampoo for three of us to share everyday and five hangers for our three people two weeks load of clothings. Not much drawers in the room but a big hanging place with no hangers. Of course you can ask for more but the staff wouldn't do it with a smile. Also we had to put our child's medicine and milk in the cafes fridge but the staff will be very huff and puff about it. And we had to put up with it twice a day to Ask for milk. Not kettle in the room either but luckily we bought our own. So if you are bringing a small baby you will be very inconvenient. They will charge you deposit M$500 for beach towel so you will end up with lots of holiday currency by the end of your holiday. I would just ask for more towel by calling the room service but make sure you be honest not to nake it. Kamer' Whatelse, bird poo was on our balcony for two days hasn't been cleaned and the bin in our room has not been emptied. Our clothes was thrown randomly in the room after cleaning lady been. Food was expensive, very slow and below average quality. I asked for a RARE steak and returned it twice still gave me completo. I was too hungry so I gave up the fight. An orange juice and bill took half an hour to come. So when we finished sipping our beer, baby got really frustrated with us. You also not allowed to bring your own drinks or snack in the pool either. No shower at the pool so if you need to rinse off your child in case of accident happened you need to drag them all the way to your room. The AC was the loudest AC ever and if you open your balcony patio door instead as the breeze is rather nice you will hear the 24/7 hours repeating loop beats whole night. So you can guess we didn't have any sleep at all. We called at 3am and 5am to the receptionist and asked them to stop the music as actually no one there so no need to have the music on. They just ignore us by saying yeah no problem. The shower in your room won't be hot expect to be lukewarm. Floor is very slippery so you will fall. I'm surprised no one has sue them yet. The building structure was very poorly acoustically insulated as you can hear drunken ppl from stairs （our room was opp to it) upstairs and next door toilet. The hotel is not facing to the beach either so let the picture fool you and you can't swim in the lagoon either as it was full of crocks. The public beach is about 10mins away thou but nowhere you can buy food there so pack your lunch before your beach day. The only plus is that it is a small hotel. But I still think they can make it a much better place for customers. The manager was never there when you need him or her. Think they only works 9-5. Sorry pretty pants. The housekeeping is very responsive to your requests. The staff at the entrance way are very in tune with you, and keep you aware if your taxi has arrived, and deliveries (we ordered pizza one afternoon) which is extremely helpful. The price is very reasonable. Negatives: The restaurant is a dragggggg. It took two hours to receive food for 6 people, and the food is not that good to wait that long. The waiters don't communicate the time it will take for food, and often times certain foods on the menu are not available. We chose this non- all inclusive restaurant hoping to depend on the restaurant for food...bad decision. The front desk is rarely smiling or helpful, often giving the vibes that as a customer we are bothering them. I went to the front desk to get help with a call that I could not make in my room and was told verbatim, " I am too busy" and he continued doing his paperwork, offering no other solution or co-worker. Very disappointed. Room on street side has a beautiful view of parking lot and road. If you love lots of traffic noise this is the place for you. We reserved a king bed and got 2 full beds. They said there was no rooms available on waterside. After we checked in our friend checked in and got a room on the waterside. Then the dinner at their restaurant was lack luster and despite barely any customers our food took forever to come out and some food order was completely forgotten. It's a new hotel nice swimming pool. But horrible customer service and worse ever staff they are rude and they don't help u in anything. The service is slow and I ordered butter fish tacos instead they brought me fish tacos that are not buttered and their excuse was that we ran out of butter and the chef that makes it is not here today the other chef doesn't know how to do it and plus the list goes on. Worse place to stay at. I will recommend paying more staying somewhere else than paying less staying in here and ruining ur vacation experience and waste ur time. read more
