Espresso and bubbles!
John W.

If you're looking for a cozy hometown style shop with more traditional coffee roasts this is the spot! I found the interior very charming, offered some nice choices for pastries and retails beans, and had a great chat with the barista about the joys of corporate America. I ordered an espresso which came with a side of sparkling water (shops that give you bubbles deserve more praise) and the spro had really nice texture and pleasant lemon acidity. Overall, I'd recommend this shop for studying or hanging with friends!

I was super excited to try a new coffee shop in West Seattle. Their coffee is DELICIOUS! The barista was very welcoming and I liked the music that was playing when I walked in. This coffee shop is kept clean and organized. I enjoyed my quick visit and can't wait to drink some more coffee here again.

Their name pretty much says it all. But also... doesn't. Because pastries! Snackage! Deliciousness! In the interest of transparency, I didn't intend on visiting. I didn't even know the place existed. (It's a small, quaint and quietly inconspicuous coffee shop.) I was in west seattle for a haircut at Rudy's (stupid me used their online scheduler and had chosen the wrong location, but didn't want to cancel, so made the drive anyways). :-p Rudy's (nextdoor) was BUSY, and I had to wait, so I stepped next door to check the shop out. BEST.... DECISION... EVER. Tasty and BEAUTIFULLY crafted coffee. If/when they're open... I highly recommend a visit. It's worth the side-jaunt, even if you're not in West Seattle, itself!

If you're in Seattle, especially West Seattle, you HAVE TO come here for your caffeinated fix. Come for the coffee. Stay for the community. Keep reading to understand why this is my favorite coffee shop in the entire world and one that is 1000% worth a visit. (Warning very long but heartfelt) As a transplant, I moved to West Seattle in the middle of the pandemic. As if COVID wasn't already isolating enough, I hardly knew anybody AND the West Seattle Bridge had just closed down which seemingly amplified the feeling of loneliness. One day I decided to stop by this location for some coffee while out for my dog's morning walk. Out of convenience, one day turned into another visit, and another after that. And before long, I couldn't start my day without making a visit to RealFine Coffee for my daily fix. I always ordered the same beverage - an 8oz Americano with a little bit of cream - and I'd often treat myself to one of their pastries (an orange almond pinwheel, blueberry muffin, spinach and cheese brioche bun, etc.). It didn't take long before they'd start to have my regular order ready before I'd even get to the counter because they'd see me turn the corner with my Siberian Husky, Sully. But it was more than the coffee that kept me coming. It was the sense of community I had developed with the help of all the baristas at this establishment. Rain, snow, or shine - I would come here for my morning coffee. In the past year, I have never once stepped foot inside the shop. I have only ever spoken to the squad through a makeshift order-window/door setup. But that was never an issue. Everyday was a new addition to an ever evolving conversation with the whole team. It didn't matter who was ringing up my order. Each and everyone of them is a friendly and genuinely kind human being. The team at RealFine Coffee are a tremendous reason for why, despite all of the reasons I mentioned at the start, I have fallen in love with West Seattle. They know my name. They know my dog. They know my friends and family that I have brought to their window over the past year. They helped make this new city feel like home. If you are looking to support a local business, have some great coffee, and have even better conversation then RealFine Coffee is where you should go. I promise you won't regret it.

They are willing to make your bevvy dreams a reality. In retrospect, some of the flavor combinations I've suggested are nightmares. But, I am a Goblin. The interior has themed rooms which are kept clean by Seattle and Goblin standards, but would be considered fairly dirty anywhere in Japan. It can get busy on the weekends, but this Goblin knows what it's like to be slammed, so I wait patiently and be respectful. It's nice to see an unpretentious flavor forward cafe run by young women doing so well. Their Hazelnut lattes don't lack flavor and taste like you "don't get it". Their coffee tastes like you were finally invited to the dance. While the market has decided that a Goblin will pay at least $8 for a coffee now, I'll fight back my Goblin tears and say "WORTH IT, WORTH IT, YOU ARE WORTH IT!". I took 1 star off because no place is perfect. I'd also like to see patrons of West Seattle businesses do more as a community to keep these spaces clean and tidy.

It was the beginning of February I had an interesting drink item there. Since I was debating between their mocha, chai, and latte. I had the best of three worlds. It just so happened that they were going to be putting their Valentine's specials out soon. That was going to be on their menu and it was suggested to me. It was very chai/spice forward which I like in my chai drinks. The Mocha profile was a bit faint for me as well as the espresso. They competed for my attention and the chai won out in the end. I can say I enjoyed it, but am more curious about how they are as their own individual drinks. Other worth while mentions. They don't currently make their own syrups, but since it's a popular question. I'm sure they are considering it a possibility I'm the future. Lastly, the individual who helped me. I didn't catch their name, but they were extremely nice and patient with me. Happily answered my questions. I highly recommend trying this place and can find myself coming back if I'm in the area I'm need of some caffeinated beverages.

The quality of the coffee was amazing easily one of the best I've had in Seattle. I also appreciated their efficient setup: the barista takes your order and makes it at the same time. You might have to wait in line a bit longer, but you get your coffee right away instead of waiting for your name to be called later. Just be prepared for a line, but it's totally worth it!

Per the cashier, unlike previous years, where they often sold Paczki for several weeks leading up to the celebration, this year, they will only have them on Tuesday. Apparently every single one is handmade by the owner, Pâtissier William Leaman, and this year, he's been too busy with the 2026 Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie competition as the US team's coach. That's certainly a great excuse! When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon a bit after lunch, this place was still quite busy with a line that stretched to the door, but not outside. As with the Burien location, I find the ordering process to be a bit of a pain; while there are plenty of workers to help, ordering is slowed due to the fact that the display cases are placed in a line and there's not much room in the building to maneuver to the desired display. In our case, while we had someone helping us all the way in the back of the line, we weren't able to select anything until we got all the way to the pastry case in the front. I'm not sure there's a good way to solve this conundrum, though. At any rate, we ended up only getting a single pastry (that was new to us) to try this time. Brown Sugar Pecan Brioche ($5) - This pastry looks like a glistening pecan sticky bun at first glance, with a cinnamon roll-like pinwheel structure and a brown sugar glazed pecan topping. Since it's brioche, I expected it to be dense, but soft, rich, and sweet. This bread is anything but. It's dense, dry, crumbly, almost clay-like in mouthfeel; basically everything brioche should not be. Instead of a sticky caramelized coating over the pecans, the pecans are glued on with only the thinnest of sugar coatings. The pastry doesn't claim to be a sticky bun, so it gets a pass there. Unfortunately the base layer is absolutely terrible, by far the worst "brioche" I've eaten in years. It has all the flavor of hard tack with the unpleasant mouthfeel of Play-Doh. Canned Pillsbury cinnamon rolls are far better than this waste of perfectly good ingredients. The owner should be ashamed to release this swill to the public. (1/5) Why am I giving Bakery Nouveau a 5? Because they serve some of the best twice baked croissants known to man. The Capitol Hill location is my go to for a sweet and buttery treat and I still recommend it to everyone that visits me, specifically for the almond and chocolate twice baked croissants. The paczki are no slouches either; probably the best we can get around Seattle. Bathrooms - Single unisex room. Note: There will be some walk in availability for paczki on Tuesday, but the cashier told me that they will likely sell out by 10AM. Looks like an early morning trip to the Capitol Hill location is in my near future.
