I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this gymnastics company. Their cancellation policy is completely absurd. I was charged an additional $185 for a month worth of sessions that I had clearly communicated we would not be attending--I contacted them over two weeks prior to the next month's billing cycle. I missed their policy's deadline by 5 days. Despite giving more than reasonable notice, they refused to accommodate or offer any form of resolution. You will be charged even if you cancel and do not attend because they keep your card on file. On top of that, when I tried to discuss the issue, I was met with rudeness and a complete lack of professionalism. As someone who has worked in the customer service industry for over a decade, I was shocked and deeply concerned by how poorly this business is run. Additionally, they announced they would be closed on Labor Day, which fell on my child's scheduled class. You'd assume that would be credited or a make-up offered--nope. We were told she couldn't make up the class, and we were still charged for a full 4-week month despite the fact she will only be receiving 3 classes. Beyond the financial issues, the facility itself is subpar: it's very warm, making it uncomfortable for both kids and parents, and it's extremely difficult to watch the older kids' classes due to poor layout/design. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I strongly urge other parents to read every bit of the fine print before signing up. Or better yet, take your kids elsewhere, like we have. If you take the time to read their other reviews, you'll notice we're far from the only family with concerns. The owners of the gymnastics academy has let go my daughters Acro Team Coaches with no clear explanation as to why. They have molded her into the athlete she is today and I am very disappointed in the way the owners have conducted their business. We were not given a notice ahead of time of these changes being made within this establishment. They expected everyone to just be okay with new coaches coming in to start where the previous coaches left off and did not ask prior to charging for the month if we agreed to the change. As a parent who has invested into their child to achieve goals to compete, I had no intention of switching her coaches who have been by her side and trained her diligently. Their coaching techniques not only prepared my daughter for competition but it instilled in her to persevere and to push herself past her comfort zone. Due to the actions of the owners not demonstrating any integrity or respect towards the athletes and their parents, I am choosing to discontinue with Realis. I can not speak on the new coaches that will be replacing Coach Konstantin and Coach Natalya due to not ever working with them but I am only speaking on the way business has been conducted. read more

They have their favorites who they want to progress. After two years my child was still at level 2. They only advanced her when I would ask for testing then they'd say yes she's good to move on. Happened twice. It's a money grab here. read more

I am a former athlete of Realis and have been affiliated with them from the their start. I trained under Youri and became a two time world champion (first ever for our sport in America) with my parter Shenea. I also became 7 time national champion and USAG Hall of Fame member. He is one of the greatest coaches of all time. His brilliance in coaching and mentoring goes way beyond technical skill. He is trained in and very focused on health psychology in sport (how to teach athletes in a way that helps them become independent, self aware, kind, generous, humble and brave. All the things that he embodies himself). He and his wife Tanya are generous people and work extremely hard to create an environment that is helpful, healthy and educational to all people. They have always been welcoming in every way and greatly value diversity. I owe so much of my success to them, not only as an athlete and professional but as a human being. They've taught me the value of honesty, hard work, patience, and generosity of spirit. Every one of Youri's former athletes adores him and will say the same as I do, which says a lot. This gym is a special place, where anyone at any age, can learn to become their best, or just come to have fun. Plus it's the cleanest gym you'll find. My daughter (4) is in gymnastics here and my son (6) was in the boys class. Number one complaint- how they treat the families / parents. The rule of "no parents allowed to watch" is awful. You can stand outside and watch in the cold / rain. Leaving my 6 year old alone in a new place makes me very uncomfortable. I am allowed in to watch my daughters class but no other parents. We have had a few days where we are switching off and both watch her for 5-10 min and are yelled at to leave. They are hawks and it makes me feel like we are being disciplined rather than paying customers. There are PLENTY of seats for another parent or grandparent to also watch. We have been in many different dance / gymnastics programs and have never been treated as this gym treats parents. It's a cold unwelcoming environment. My son quit after two months, he is 6 and while the coach is world ranked he is very strict and yells at the boys. My son was asked to join Acro but he started to hate going because there was "No fun". I understand competitive coaching but he is 6... there should still be fun in a class. I feel he would have continued gymnastics for years but this experience ruined it for him. As far as my daughters class- she likes going but they do the same sequence every week and she isn't challenged anymore. read more

My daughter is very shy so we decided to try Acro at Realis since it forces her to talk and work with partners. Coach Braiden has been amazing! He's very patient and notices when my daughter gets overwhelmed. He has never made her feel inferior and constantly encourages her to speak up for herself. In the past 6 months, I have seen her self confidence and communication skills increase in ways that we never saw in other sports. Went with my daughter to watch her for the first time and was told I couldn't sit on her side to watch but that I had to sit on the other sitting area. No big deal, got up and went to the other side and sat down. I was then told that I couldn't sit there either but had to watch from outside for "safety" reasons yet there were other parents on the side I was asked to move to. So I went outside only to not be able to see my daughter due to the high reflection on the glass. At the end of the day it's a private business and they can make up any rules they want however trivial they are. Unfortunately this rule is why I am choosing to leave a 1 star review as I believe it to be a poor business decision. Had I known this when my wife was signing her up I would have encouraged her to take our business elsewhere. read more

I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, however it's a no go for me. I was reading the reviews and someone mentioned the below, and i 100% agree. "nothing really special, i actually had heard a few good things and decided to try it out, the staff did not seem excited at all or welcoming, not much instruction for my daughter at all. I guess I was just expecting a personality of someone who enjoyed working with children,...i just did not get that vibe there :(" I get it, It's time to learn, but still make it feel welcoming, enjoyable, and that you love working with kids. Was not a fan of the instructors, they don't seem to have any manners and not welcoming at all. I thought at least the first day of class they would give a bit more interaction with my daughter to guide her on their routine, but no or paid her up with another student to show her how things happen in class. They can give a hell. Felt like it was a bother that they had a new student. My kid was in the level one, so it was not like she was a baby/toddler and had to hold her hand the entire time. There is just the lack of guidance there for sure, especially on the first day. There is more to this with the instructors that my daughter had on Monday and Thursday, but I will leave it at that just that for now. As for the front desk, yeah that needs a lot of help. Basically to them, you are irreplaceable. Business is business, someone else will take your spot. Which I get, but you would think you want the commitment and relationship with your clients. Here they can careless. I lost out on money, and pulled her out after her second day. I rather take my money somewhere else, and just lose out on that money, than keep dealing with their unprofessional business. Upon entering people were very helpful; however, once my daughter entered the class as she was only three my daughter had a hard time focusing as their class sizing is very big. My daughter kept walking away wanting to explore. She spent about 15-20 minutes on the floor. They kicked my daughter off the floor and told her that she could come back when she listened better, and I had to proceed to take my daughter out crying. When I asked what I could do better they said I could work on her listening. I had explained to them, that she was a good listener but over stimulated and that she had never been in that kind of environment before, in a school setting, or even a playground much due to covid. However, regardless of that it was their job (as there was two of them to help in those cases) and they just told me to work on her listening. I never took my daughter back to their treatment of her. read more

This is a fabulous gym! I am a former sports acrobatic athlete from this gym so I can personally say that the owners and coaches are the Best!! I recommend this gym to all parents!! If you want your children to become a top athlete or even just want them to learn the basics and take recreational gymnastics classes this is the place for you. read more

I typically don't leave reviews on here, but I feel like I had to leave this over the past couple weeks. I have been bringing my granddaughter to her class for her mother. She is in Brenda 's class. My baby is a little bit behind skill wise and I overheard brenda telling my granddaughter that she needs to figure out how to do it on her own and that it's easy. We have took her out of this horrible gym How can you tell a five-year-old this? What a sad excuse for a woman. Also, I would like to say that I overheard Brenda talking to one of the coaches saying that she thought her students were obnoxious and annoying. I enrolled my daughter back in May 2023. In 8 months I have seen a huge change in her. She is now very confident and it has helped her become very disciplined. She has joined the acro pre team and will be having her first competition next month. Communication between the coaches and front desk can be improved, but other than that, this place is great and I would definitely recommend. read more

My daughter has been coming here for about 2 years now. I have enjoyed it but their is somethings they need to improve on. The communication is not the best and I have gotten last min notices on schedule changes. Im not a fan of them no longer allowing us to go inside to sit down to watch out little ones and do wish soon they would allow us back inside. I have two daughters that love the Realis Zoom classes!! Coach Ari is amazing and very engaging with the kids. She is very innovative with the athletes and the resources they have available at home. My girls look forward to their class each week. They are able to safely socially interact while they are building strength and learning new skills. My girls have been attending Realis for years and we have been very happy! The coaches all the way to the front office staff have been very professional and friendly. My daughter has been attending this gym for 3 years and we are very happy here. The front office staff is helpful, friendly, and I'm impressed with how the gym has adapted to the current pandemic situation. The cleaning procedures are so thorough and I feel completely safe having my daughter here. The gym has plenty of hand sanitizer available for gymnasts to use multiple times while at the gym, temperature checks at the door, and even fancy UV cleaning lights for the equipment that can't be wiped clean as easily. My girl spends 20 hours a week at gymnastics and now back at gym she is so thankful for a sense of normalcy, as she's now able to return to some activities. She comes home happy with her time here, sweaty, and tired from a good workout. If your kid is looking for a safe space to have fun, learn, and burn some energy I definitely recommend checking Realis out. read more

I have all my daughters, 10, 4, and 3 years old and they enjoy going. The teachers are great and my girls have learned so much.

I would not recommend this gymnastics for your children. Things have changed drastically after Covid. Their policies are a joke. Outside their business it says all adults must wear a mask yet 4 of their employees were not. Also, per their policies one parent is allowed for kinder/tots yet when I took my daughter, the person at the door said we could not go in but their own employees were not wearing a mask. They also are not consistent with their coaches, they keep coming and going. read more

Prior to covid our daughter was going 1-2 times a week. She was 3 years old when she attended. She loved it here!!!! The staff was very friendly and everything was explained throughly as far as billing and cancellations. There were times that my daughter was not able to attend class due to soccer practice, but she was able to make it up on Saturday mornings. She really enjoyed it and we are considering to put her back in soon. read more

My girls have been coming here for a while now and we love the gym. I have one in the mommy and me class, one in the 3yr old and my other daughter just got into preteam. My child was in the youngest level of classes which were often taught by teachers with little to no gymnastics experience. The teachers are typically young and lose control of the kids. The kids were often incorrectly doing skills and the teachers did not correct form. Teachers were nice however not trained properly and classes were a mess. read more

My daughter who is now 8yrs old has been attending to the Moreno Valley location for about 2 years. We started off with the basic classes, but she tried out for the team and made it the same month of starting gymnastics. We absolutely love the staff always keeping my girl safe. The staff doesn't allow the girls to walk out the door unless they see the parent. Front desk is great with informing us with information regarding meeting dates, payment reminders, upcoming events and anything the gym needs to share with parents. When we first started attending the gym we notice parents are not allowed to be inside due to the COVID restrictions. With COVID restrictions being lifted parents are still not allowed to watch from inside the gym. Which I didn't like, but honestly I really think it's the best for the child because it allows the child to stay focus instead of worry if their parent is watching. Special shout out to Coach Kami and Kyla always making it fun but challenging them to do better. I love hearing my girl say she having fun! Other days I hear her say she sore, but still wants to go see her coach and team mates. We searched for other gymnastics gym closer to home. But they don't offer teams with Beam, Bar, and Vault which my daughter loves. Will keep making the sacrifices to drive out as long as she keeps loving it! read more

Hate that they don't allow parents inside or on the bleachers. You can only watch from a hot (unconditioned) room in some loft area. Class seems too big sometimes that they can't focus on assisting your kiddo with proper form. read more

Update: it has been 5 years since my last review. Couldn't help but see all the negative reviews and wanted to say, my kids still love the pop-in play. I now have a daughter in addition to my boy. She has actually taken classes here and if she wasn't doing dance regularly, I would have her here doing gymnastics. I plan to have her try their Acro gymnastics perhaps in a year or two. I also wanted to comment on the comments about how the owners are racist, Russian, and in it for the money. First, it's a business. You start a business to make money. Customers can often be the ones who are unreasonable. Pay what you agreed to pay. Disneyland won't refund your month you didn't use the pass. Why should small businesses do that when it hits them even harder. Businesses cost money...a LOT of money...to operate. Instructors, lights, and I doubt that massive warehouse is free. In fact, I would wager it's their biggest cost every month or maybe tied for first with staff, which not only includes hourly wages but workers comp insurance for each employee. You like AC in Riverside heat? That isn't free either. Second, the racism I'm seeing exercised against this business because it's Russian owned...for shame! People commenting on how they're racist? Please. I'm Hispanic and my husband is Asian and I have never once felt discriminated against by them. I've only had one encounter with the owner. I will say she wasn't covered in sugar, and she made me fill out a waiver for my daughter while I wore her during pop-in play, by whatever. If my daughter got injured in any way, she could have a potential law suit on her hands. People rarely think about the small business owner or the stresses they're under trying to serve the public. My daughter is 4 and started in the kinder tots class and is now in the pre-team courses. She has grown leaps and bounds under Coach Erika's instruction. Realis seems to run a very smooth business and it's sad to read all of the negative reviews. I would definitely recommend this place for an aspiring gymnast or someone who wants their child to learn coordination, balance, and discipline. I'm thankful we made the move to Realis. read more

I wasn't too sure about trying this place with some of these reviews, however, i did it anyway and my child and I were made to feel welcome. My first interaction was with a coach who welcomed me and said the office staff could help me. I was greeted very pleasantly and all my questions were answered and more! She was gave me more information than I originally even asked for. I always get the name of the person helping me, her name was Erica, and she was great, very professional, helpful, and nice. My child did a trial class and also later participated at the open gym and all staff were great!! My initial reaction was hesitant, but am very happy i went in. People should stop judging just by reviews, because i am proof they can be wrong! And By the way, my child is mixed race , and i have no idea what people are talking about with race, Why is that always brought into things!!! read more

We have been with Realis for almost two years now. Both my kids found a huge interest in the Acro class. The coaches have all been great since we started Acro. Unfortunately the old coaches left the gym to move to another area but coach Braeden took over and is not only a great coach but world class athlete himself. At first, I didn't like the fact that we could not sit inside to watch, but after learning a little more about the layout of the gym there is just no room for anyone to sit because they have so much mat space and equipment to train on. They do have a zoom option to watch the classes or you can pull up a chair in front of the windows. I have never had an issue seeing the class the whole time. In the winter time when it gets dark, you can easily sit in your car and watch classes through the window and via zoom. They do allow the younger kids to have one parent in the building which is ideal for the little ones. read more

I would give it 5 stars if they would let the parents actually watch in person (inside - you can watch through Zoom or you can stand outside and look in, but that is not convenient). I've been coming here for a while with my daughter and has been an ok event some good and bad day's. Staff semi friendly but overall haven't had any negative experiences. Positive: -pop n play $4 for one hour -Lots of friendly customers -fun things for kids to play on Negative: -they get to choose the age limit of who is five and older in there eyes (Pop n play only) -hot in the summer had to complain about the heat for them to turn on the air in back where kids play. -dirty some equipment looks like it need some TLC Overall I still take my daughter here but I am considering an alternative place like wizards. They have something similar same price but you would get an extra hour of play for price read more
