Such a cute little bistro in the heart of Walnut Creek. I asked for the quiche at breakfast even though it's only on their lunch menu and it was the very best I've ever had! So fresh and full of flavor. I'd highly recommend the ham & Swiss version! I also had the featured Butter Pecan latte which was fantastic. Fabulous, we were in town for a few days, we ate breakfast here two days in a row and lunch one of those days as well. This place has very fresh local ingredients, we were very impressed. I Finally made it! I moved to Ohio in 2010, and every time I'm over in Amish country I try to stop here. For some reason or another it just has never happened. Hmm... Four stars for the food, three for some minor issues. We came in on Black Friday, and it was packed. They have a waiting area but it's not heated, so we got pretty cold. There is free coffee out there though... Once we got seated, service was pretty good. But they have a limited menu (a few sandwiches, two soups, a few salads) and were out of many of the things we wanted. We both ordered burgers, but a few minutes later we found out they only had one left. How does that happen? Anyway, Sweetie picked grilled cheese as an alternate. We shared both. The burger was pretty good, on a fresh bun with good toppings. Her tomato soup side was okay- I'm sure it was homemade, but seemed like gussied-up Campbell's. My side salad was good. And the grilled cheese was unlike any I've ever had. Not complaining- I just expected a really good, basic grilled cheese. (I didn't read the menu description when we changed orders.) When it arrived, I wasn't sure it was the right order. "Provolone and pepper jack cheese with cherry butter on cranberry walnut bread." Yep, that's exactly what it was, but it transcended that description. So good I wanted more. We'd come back- maybe when it's warmer and not as busy. read more

Ladies retreat in Amish Country. For lunch we were referred here by an employee of Schrock's furniture in Millersburg. We didn't have a data or wifi connection so couldn't use Yelp. Little did we know the restaurant had a 5 star review rating. This is an old house converted into a restaurant. It was small with just 3 great living room sized dining areas. They have a waiting area in what looks to be an old 4 season room. We had a 45 minute wait which was actually only 15-20 min. The decor has an eclectic cottage feel, somewhat like an old tea house. The menu is average in variety but everything we ordered was tasty and homemade fresh. I had the burger with a side salad. The burger was large and cooked to order. I had the pretzel bun and the side salad was of my choosing (any of the ones on the menu). The herb dressing made the salad and it is on they sell there under the owner's name. I'd have to say this was a great recommendation! We drove a few miles out of Millersburg but it was beyond worth it!! read more

What an amazing lunch. We did wait 45 minutes on the screened in porch for a table. There were heater and it was a comfortable wait. The food was fresh and amazing. We enjoyed the pineapple berry turkey sandwiches on whole grain bread. Which bib will order again. I had the side of cheesy potatoes and my husband had a side salad with homemade dressing. So good. First off the decor is really cute in this place. Our server did not introduce herself when she came to the table. She just asked if we were ready to order. As a first timer, it would have been nice to hear some favorites or even her name. The vegetable quiche was extremely mushy and barely warmed up. The crust was very soggy. The tomato soup was very sweet. I was excited to try this but only took two bites of it. Sort of tasted like a kids canned tomato sauce. The cheesy Potatos were very very bland. My fiancé ordered a Cuban and it wasn't pressed what so ever. It came to the table cold as well. All of the other sandwiches around us were nicely pressed. Well well well....where to begin. Quaint , cozy , and delicious. My 3 favorite qualities in a new restaurant. Your greater with a welcoming greeting l, smile and quickly seated. I'm not gonna lie. I was a bit upset that there sausage gravy was already gone at 10am. But I had the frittata. Look out. It was a explosion of delicious flavors. And then a blueberry lemon scone to end it. Here is what we found: They were out of Creamed Eggs - - My husbands first choice They were out of the Frittata - - - My husbands 2nd choice He Settled for the Panini - - - just lunch meat ham in a sandwich . OK I ordered the Stuffed French Toast - - - Hand dipped in batter never Happened! - - - the bread was VERY dry. The cream cheese was OK and the Raspberry was pie filling without any raspberries . Rebecca's is a must if you're in the area! It has healthy and natural home cooking that tastes as fresh as possible. In fact, they only put ingredients that are in season on the menu. Rebecca's salad dressing is good enough to drink out of the bottle and you can purchase a some at the restaurant as well! Additionally, they know the menu really well and could advise me easily on gluten free options. They have really good gluten free bread! The salads are amazing, and the bistro burger is to die for. My only critique of Rebecca's is how small the joint is. There is always a line; however, they have quick service due to their small menu. Any time we are in the area visiting my boyfriend's family I practically beg him if we can make a trip to Rebecca's. To put things in perspective, I'm pretty sure it's impossible to get a bad meal here. Everything from the sandwiches, the salads, don't even get me started on the tomato soup (and I'm not even usually a big tomato fan)! They have such a nice range of things to choose from; classics to options with more adventurous flavor profiles. All delicious. Rebecca's also boasts a wonderful dessert case and extensive drinks menu. I swear one of these times I am going to visit just for dessert. I have had the seven layer carrot cake and it was easily the best piece of carrot cake I've had in my life. The issue is if I go in for lunch, I'm usually stuffed to the gills by the time I even consider dessert. LUCKILY, you can order a dessert to go! And they even sell their fabulous tomato soup in a jar up by the cashier - excellent for out-of-towners like me who don't want to wait months before having it again! Fortunately for us we got there before the real Saturday crunch hit and got a table with only about a 20 minute wait. It is small and is located in the heart of tourist/amish country. So on a Saturday the town was jammed. The only reason for four stars rather than five is that there was an obvious shortage of wait staff. Our server was very pleasant and was working her backside off, but she needed help (kiddingly offered me a job in the kitchen). The menu is good, with some unusual stuff and the portions are large. I ordered a cheese sandwich and got two! The tomato basil soup was a good side and would have made a good meal by itself in a larger bowl. My riding companions raved about the food. Rebecca's is one of my favorite local places to eat and I've been going for years. Brunch here is an absolute favorite! Service is always friendly. Miriam is the absolute best and just the sweetest! You will not be disappointed if she's your server. Be aware that there can be a bit of a wait if you go during peak breakfast or lunch hours. If you are there right when they open, you'll be pleasantly surprised. They fill up fast though and do not take reservations. My favorites: * The Saturday morning special. Home fries smothered with sausage gravy, bacon, cheese served with a side of toast. ( 4 pieces! I love the sourdough.) Oh, and as the name implies it's only available on Saturdays! * Three Egg Omelettes with your choice of fillings is always yum. Get either of those served with a Jamaican Me Crazy coffee and a Cinnamon Roll Cookie (just like the middle of a cinnamon roll and only $1) to top it and you'll be off to great start to your day! Lunch always needs to include Rebecca's famous Tomato Basil soup. Topped with croutons it's the ultimate comfort food. If you love it as much as I do you can always buy a jar to take home for later. I would highly recommend this as a regular stop whenever your in town. I had the tomato basil soup. It was the best I've ever had. And my coffee...I still think about it. Check to see if you need a reservation as you may have to wait for a table. But trust me it's worth the wait. They can handle small groups and they were great with the kids. My husband and I have been here many times. We love the food and don't mind the wait. The service has always been great and everyone is very friendly. This particular visit, we waited 45 minutes which was fine. Once we were seated, we waited 25 minutes and were never waited on. The table next to us that was seated after us got their drinks and order taken, but we were ignored. A couple that arrived about 20 minutes after we did were seated and were being served their food as we were leaving. When telling the manager/hostess why we were leaving and that I would leave a review the other waitress came over, raised her voice and accused me of attacking the hostess. I was not. I was just stating the problem in a normal tone. The hostess admitted that she didn't tell the waitress that we were there, but thought she would see us. She was very professional and nice, but your waitress was not.
