There aren't a lot of reviews for this restaurant. With the prices for this place, it's no wonder. It has to be one of the most expensive places in the state. Or for that matter the country. When you're serving Dover Sole for $60 or so...for lunch you are setting the bar high. Does it reach it? Not quite. And I suppose I should sing the restaurant one star for that. And yet I can't because the food and service were so darn good. A frisee salad with goat cheese and asparagus and wild mushrooms? Sublime with a mix of flavors and textures that made me want to savor each bite. The tuna was better with shoestrings fries. Tuna was near flawless. Just melts in your mouth. And even the bread was ridiculous good. Imported from France I'm told. FWIW. Still, it's nearly impossible to justify the prices. So the place is left to expense accounts and Old Greenwich money where the amounts are an afterthought. If you have either of those, this is the perfect place to splurge. Just get the white truffle risotto for $140.

Super overpriced. Food not that good. Don't recommend for anyone looking for a good time. Also, hard to find parking nearby.

This place jumped the shark in 2007. It went from being great to being kind of sad in a few short years.

We had a reservation and were seated as soon as we arrived, which was a great start to the evening. For an appetizer, we ordered the Calamars à la Plancha, and it was definitely an excellent choice: tender, flavorful, and delicious. For our main courses, we tried the duck (Magret de Canard), veal served with linguine (Veau), and the Cajun chicken (Poulet Cajun). All three were great choices and very enjoyable. A couple of suggestions: the veal cutlets had quite a bit of black pepper, so I think it would be better to let customers add it themselves according to their preference. We also ordered the truffle fries as a substitute for the pommes frites that normally come with the Cajun chicken, and they were absolutely delicious! And I can't forget to mention the excellent Kir Royale a perfect addition to the meal. Overall, a very enjoyable experience with great food, pleasant service, and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely a place I'd be happy to visit again!

We got the escargots to start alongside a salad, they also provide you with bread. Some call it class, others call it manners. Some don't know the difference but there is one. And so I didn't break out my phone as to not embarrass myself and my loved one. And to fit in with a crowd I don't belong to. Ashamed of myself? Never. Orienta is highly rated and beloved by locals. This is somehow takeout for some of the Greenwichites although in other territories nobody would ever dare takeout from such a lovely and lively ambiant. Suit jacket upon suit jacket crowd by the inside of the door, shaking each other's hands and sharing faux cheek pecks. I saw way too many salads hit tables even though they were probably very good. Anything to stay snatched, holla at boy. Excuse me, your man... gentleman. Pilates. Reformers. Hot yoga. Musical chairs at Orienta with everyone that walks by because somehow we know everyone in this town and we're all wearing the same clothes and speak the same and happen to be at Orienta on the same night and somehow decide to join each other all for dinner. Amazing town to study. Just amazing. Anyways - Bao Buns are very good, dumplings solid. Pad Thai is like a savory pad see ew / pad Thai combo - very nice. Their star savory crepe is very fresh tasting and the chicken inside the crepe is very very nice. Pricing is fair. Service was quick, the servers were nice but cautiously and potentially judgingly so if that makes sense. Like if you waved your mitts across their face their eyes would roll behind their sockets and they'd start hitting thriller. And maybe a Soulja boy... YOUUUUUUU. You should give this place a try. It's good. I wouldn't call it 5 star great though. I'd like to try a few more things but nothing really stood out, nothing really disappointed. For the local tribes it's straight vibes. For us outta towners, one go was enough but I won't say no to a second-go.

My favorite item were the lobster shooters and shaking beef, but would also recommend the pad Thai, shrimp dumplings, and savory crepe. Everything was great. Even my lychee martini! It's a cute, small place off Greenwich Avenue and I could see it getting a little loud on crowded nights, but it was very calm when we were there. Will absolutely return!

Mon Dieu! The warm goat cheese salad! I swore I wasn't going to eat it all, but somehow I emptied my plate. I added chicken and the meat was juicy and savory. The sour cherry vinaigrette was a lovely way to dress the toasted almond shavings and greens. The Montrachet melted in my mouth. The service was attentive and cordial. I felt bad they couldn't coax dessert because I've had their crème brûlée on another occasion and it was heavenly. C'est magnifique, Chez Vous! If you order a bottle of wine, it seems you get faster attention. Are used to come here years ago, but I think it's under new ownership. Not sure I will definitely try it again. It is very convenient to the Avon theater. It is quite loud, but for many that would add to the festive environment. Not good for older people who have hearing issues! I love French food and it's something we don't have very often so I was excited to come back. Unfortunately the food wasn't that great. The service was wonderful and the space hasn't changed (the carpets could probably be changed and the walls that have the quaint murals on them are dirty (splatters of food or drink were on the wall next to where I sat). My escargots and the foie gras were perfect, but the ravioli was overwhelmed by one of the sauces (a gravy type thing underneath). The filet was also very good, but I wouldn't say it was special. My husband got the scallops and there wasn't much of a saffron flavor to the saffron sauce. The worst part was our soufflés were all raw in the centers.
