Our favorites were the Shanghai pan fried pork dumplings and Hong Kong sticky rice. We had some leftovers to take home and the server recommend the best method for reheating the dishes. my daughter loved going to this place! We moved away so when we come back to visit, of course she wanted to go to dim sum. Well, we got some soup dumplings and unfortunately, there was no soup in the soup dumplings. They were all dried out. Let me start by saying that I LOVE Dim Sum Court. I love that this place exists, standing out from all the pub grub on Bridge Street, with lots of tasty food, fun drinks, and indoor and outdoor seating. Dim Sum is, in my opinion, the perfect meal, so I feel very fortunate to have Dim Sum Court in the community! I recommend following their Instagram for up-to-date menu items and other goings-ons. That said, I had to ding a star for my recent experience. I popped in on Friday night, dining solo. I honestly felt forgotten by the service team, and it took way longer than I anticipated to acquire my meal. Portions and prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly enough. Parking is street side only, which can be tough during a busy weekend on Bridge Street. The inside is a little small, so if you're bringing a large group - plan ahead. I think, however, that is the best way to enjoy dim sum, so you can try many different things. I haven't ventured much off the dim sum menu, and I've always been happy with my dumplings and buns. We decided to check out Dim Sum Court and we are very glad we did. The restaurant is in a narrow space, which they've made warm and contemporary- feel with a horizontal wood paneling. There were probably 15-20 mix of 2 and 4 to tables, with the center column packed closely enough that walking between tables is impossible. The restaurant was bustling and people were enjoying their meals. Noisy in a good way. We arrived just before the dinner rush, were seated promptly and our orders taken. Sheba ordered the Orange Chicken. I had the Mongolian Beef. Both were served maybe 15 minutes after we ordered, still piping hot from the kitchen. Well prepared, good portion sizes, tasty! Our check was presented 15 minutes later, we paid and graded back across the street with time to spare. By the time we left people were waiting inside and outside the restaurant. I only ordered delivery from here, so this review is only for their food. I ordered XLB, wonton soup and stir fried boc choy, so the review is only based on these 3 items. Their XLB arrived intact, with lots of juice inside, which was a good sign. Unfortunately the good kinda stopped right here. Although the XLB is juicy, the flavor was lacking. It's bland and the meat quality was meh ~ then the wontons in the wonton soup were pretty bad. The skin was way too thick and the amount of meat inside was sad and flavor was not there either. Their boc choy was also bland and very very oily. After eating this meal, my stomach was feeling weird all night. Dim Sum court finally opened about a month ago after a long construction period during the pandemic. Glad they did. They have an extensive menu that includes some Dim Sum favorites, Twaineese options, and what one would consider American Chinese options. It is not a traditional Dim Sum restaurants with push carts, but rather you order what you would like from the menu. Xia Long Bao (soup dumplings) have a slightly thicker wrapper than I would like but it is good to see these available in the suburbs. Like the fried peanuts and pickled radish served as an "amuse bouche". You could taste the "wok hei" in the Beef Chow Fun. Crystal shrimp dumplings were decent. I loved their housemade chili crisp oil. It is family-owned and the service is super friendly. Almost too much with the bright lights they use, but better than too dark. Take-out menus handed to us, which is fine. Just not very classy if I'm being honest. It lacked that sesame flavor and was soaked in some sort of liquid. Decent taste, but not a great start. I didn't finish them nor did my wife. For the meal, we ordered the Singapore noodles, which were delicious. A bit skimpy on the serving for $14, so I would not recommend trying to share just one noodle dish. It was gone in no time. A couple pieces of shrimp, more chicken than anything. Still quite good. Also ordered the Steamed Pork Soup dumplings and Shanghai Pan Fried Pork dumplings. The steamed came out first and those were for my wife, but I tried one and it was flavorful. I don't have much experience with these, but not overly filled with soup, but a more paste-like soup if that makes sense. I enjoyed them very much. Sadly, after about 10 minutes, we were out of food and the Shanghai dumplings never showed up. I was content, so did not want to try and force them in the belly. PSA there is only one place to get boba in Phoenixville and this is it folks. If that's not enough for 5 stars idk what is. We got the Taro of course and it was delicious. It's a mixed menu - it's not truly dim sum but they have a wonderful selection of dumplings and buns in addition to wonderful noodles. The food here is good but the dishes are served "dim sum" style, which means that they are small portions that are meant to be shared rather than entrée type dishes. We had the steamed pork soup dumpling, scallion pancake, crystal shrimp (har gow) dumplings, and the roast pork bun (chasu bao). Most of these dishes were good but the crystal shrimp dumplings were very small and I would not get it again. We also had the beef chow fun, which was small but was comparable to some of the best Chinese restaurants in Southern California. They had soothing music playing and a video of a field of flowers swaying in the wind on a large screen. There were peanuts and pickled radishes on the table. For appetizers we tried a new item - Five Season Beef. The Five Season Beef was cold beef tendons seasoned in 5 traditional chinese spices. It is probably an acquired taste. We also had the Beef on a Stick which were large pieces of tender beef on a stick. For our main dishes, we had Crab Fried Rice, Chicken with Garlic Sauce, and Chongqing Chicken. All three dishes were very good. The portions are large which gave us leftovers to eat later in the week. I liked that the servers inquired about our responses to the dishes. My first time hanging out in Phoenixville was during their First Friday event. We stopped by Dim Sum since it had some of the highest Yelp ratings In the area along with affordable prices. We sat outside in the street soaking up the sun with our dog. The employees seated us right away and made sure we had water to stay hydrated. We ordered the soup dumplings and a stir fry noodle dish. So this was the place to go as I saw they have Pork Soup Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao). My wife and I are big fans. We got there around 6:30-7:00 PM. It was full but not packed. We were seated right away. It seemed very clean in the dining area. A nice modern cafe feel to it. The menu was what I mostly expected from a dim sum restaurant. We ordered the soup dumplings of course and the pan fried pork dumplings. I had the noodles with pork and brown sauce. My wife had the Singapore rice noodles without shrimp. Everything was very good. I liked that the soup dumplings had a nice thing skin. Some have such thick skins and it takes away from the flavor. The broth was rich and flavorful but not super salty tasting. The fried dumplings had a much thicker bread-like wrapper which was very nice with the crispy bottom. The pork was savory with some green onion inside as well. My pork noodles were also tasty. The noodles were thick and a little chewy cooked just right. My wife also enjoyed her Singapore noodles excellent flavor. In addition to the great meal the prices were pretty good as well. I've paid more at similar places in other states. All in all we will be returning. Side note: during the summer months at least when we went the town shuts down 2 blocks which include the one the restaurant is on for a street festival. There were various performers.
