!We had a great meal at Rebel Kitchen. Cool spot with lots of beers on tap and some interesting drinks (lilikoi spritz) and excellent sauces. I had the fish sandwich on a home made bun with pineapple coleslaw. It was so good!! My friend had the steak nacho fries, also a big hit. The steak was delicious and the fries were fantastic. Our waiter was great and he knew the menu well. We will definitely go back again.

We ventured here for a change in our typical Hawaiian dining experience and were pleasantly surprised. It is a small location with locally sourced foods. We were greeted and seated promptly and our server, Maddie, was very friendly. I had the Ono and Shrimp Curry upon her recommendation, and it was delicious. My husband had a pulled pork sandwich with their special garlic and pepperoni fries. He enjoyed his meal as well. We shared the homemade Lilikoi Cheesecake for dessert. Yum!

double the maximun amount of stars would not be enough. Homemade bread, buns, grass fed beef sauces that are amazing. In fact I bought a bottle to take home with me of their Kona ketchup oh my goodness so good

Place is small and they warn you before going in that service will be slow...and they're not kidding, one waiter for all the tables. Food was good, portions are tiny. Wings app gave you 4 wings at $16,50 price tag! Parties of 6 automatic 20% so no real incentive for fast service.

If you are vegetarian and you are here to have the veggie garlic pasta with fried broccoli, that's not on menu any more. Have added the latest menu. The Cajun pasta they served was tasteless, they added more of the Cajun butter, and it was quite tasty after that. They tout their lilikoi cheesecake is best in the world, and it was so tasteless that you can never guess the flavor. The service was quick relatively, their bathroom has no lock! Average interiors and vibe. No crayons for kids.

Checked out Rebel in the Kona area after hearing about it on TV for their hot sauce. The vibe is super relaxed and definitely has that local charm. The owners were there when we stopped in and were really friendly. They mentioned it's been a little slow lately, which is a shame because they're clearly passionate about the place. I had the sangria, which was light and easy to drink. My partner went for the special beer on tap , he liked it, said it was crisp and cold, nothing fancy but hit the spot. We tried the pizza fries as an app... they were okay. Not bad, but not something I'd go out of my way to order again. All in all, it's a chill spot to grab a drink and support a local business. Would be cool to go back and try something else with their hot sauce next time.

Super delicious!! The staff were super friendly. The art on the walls was beautiful. Very walkable area with plentiful street parking.

AMAZING food. 100% recommend if you are looking for a tasty meal. Our server was incredible, got us a seat big enough for our group as soon as he could. The restaurant was very tidy and clean as well. I got the rebel burger and upgraded my fries for a dollar for their Parmesan pepperoni fries.

Consistently great food and service. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. It's a must stop when traveling between Kona and Volcanos.

My husband got the fried opelu. Gravy and grilled onions are an additional 50 cents each. The pork chops were pretty thick and was enough for the both of us. Honestly, it wasn't anything spectacular, but I read and heard so much about it. They bring out 3 side dishes and tonight it was potato salad, a cucumber/imitation crab salad and shoyu long rice. Rice is served like in a Chinese restaurant in a big bowl and you scoop your own into your bowl. The service was very good, local style with her calling us aunty. So Kona, I love it! The hotel itself is over 100 years old and it is very nostalgic. Don't expect too much, it is home style cooking with local vibes. I enjoyed our dinner there and would go back to try something else on their menu.

I'm sure she was the only one for the entire place, basically 8 tables, so it took her longer than normal to take our order and to bring us the tab. As she was the only server, it was understandable. My husband ordered a veggie burger; I ordered coconut shrimp. My husband thought the burger was decent, not overly wow, but he enjoyed it. The fries were delicious! My coconut shrimp was tasty and nice and hot. I could've had maybe 2 more, then I would've been super happy! A bit pricey for the portion sizes, but you definitely pay for convenience. With it being at the resort, it beats going anywhere. One thing to keep in mind: it's outside and by the pool. There were kids yelling and playing the entire time we were there, so conversation was out between that and the live music. However, if you have kids, you could always send them to the pool and still maintain proper supervision whilst eating a snack!

After speaking with other Wyndham owners and local business professionals we have discovered this has been a growing concern due to poor bar and grill leadership. The "golden rule" in the service industry is simple and relative to the best selling book in the world if that's your belief. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
