Fresh, hearty, flavorful. What can beat a locally raised beef patty and Truffle Fries?!

Fresh, hearty, flavorful. What can beat a locally raised beef patty and Truffle Fries?! One of our fav burger spots in Waimea. Located inside the food court at Parker ranch shopping center. There are a few tables in the restaurant but also a bigger area to sit in the food court. Lighting isn't too bright inside the food court area.

This place was recommended by a friend and we give it a 4.5/5! We ordered the Hawaiian island beef burger! My husband added a fried egg and I added mushrooms! We got a plain burgers for our girls to share and they even cut it in half for us. It's the little things! We also got regular fries and parm fries! 10/10!!!! The fresh garlic in the parm fries made it extra delicious! The staff is kind and were apologetic when they were sold out of the lamb burgers. Next time we will just have to go earlier!! There's picnic tables out front, a few high chairs inside or you can sit in the food court area - tons of tables!

Ordered five hamburgers and sides on the mobile app today. We ordered medium to medium rare on the burgers and all of them came out rare to raw. Our tentative pick up time was 1232, we were standing in their pick up line for 20 minutes beyond that until finally somebody asked what we were waiting for. We never heard them call our name or a number. The french fries are called. The burgers were cold. It almost looked like they just threw the hamburgers in the bag. I believe in supporting local small businesses, but this is $100 waste of money. I will not be coming back anytime soon. I would recommend everybody go to Waimea Butcher, big Island brewhouse or McDonald's in lieu of this place.

Big island beef burger on the left ($18), mushroom burger on the right ($14.50) with fresh fries in the middle ($5).

I knew I was going to order an island beef burger but also got the mushroom burger out of curiosity. Both were really great. Local beef and veggies made these artisanal burgers stand out. The mushroom patty is kinda fragile but really tasty. Wanted to order a loco moco but ran out at 11:23am. Couldn't wait 1 hr for rice to be ready so just got the keiki a keiki patty and fries. We all enjoyed our meal and ate it in the food court.

On the last day of our vacation we went to eat at the Parker Ranch Center. I chose a burger at Village Burger. The burger was good, filling and well done, but definitely not memorable. It wasn't long before I couldn't remember what was in my burger except the bun and the meat. But I was definitely full and would probably do it again if I needed a bite to eat if I was nearby. I can't say anything about the atmosphere in the cafe because our family ordered different food and we sat at tables outside of Village Burger. The burger was prepared quickly and the staff was nice.

This is such a gem of a spot. Fresh and local ingredients really elevate the food. While the burgers are delicious they are a little heavy (depending on what you put on them; I love to do bacon, farm fresh egg and jalapeños!) so I've recently been getting their fish burger which is equally delicious! The star for me are the milkshakes and fries! You can tell they use real potatoes and you can get truffle salt seasoning on them! It's located in a shopping center so there's also some cute shops to check out while you're there. And while there's no indoor seating at the restaurant it's connected to a food court that has ample indoor seating with a few outdoor options as well. Service is wonderful! Be aware that they make everything fresh/to order so it can take a little bit to get your food if it's busy but that's just because everything is fresh and piping hot!

First time in the Big Island in a long time and we love to hit the local farmers markets where possible. Since we parked on the lot of the Parker Ranch shopping center and used the bathroom in there, it was time for lunch. Seeing the ahi burger on the menu here, I decided to give it a try. My mistake perhaps is not reading the menu because I expected a solid piece of tuna versus chopped. Especially when the cashier recommended that it be cooked medium. No fries included. Taste wise, the first thing I get is the sweetness from the pickled cucumber and spread. I didn't expect the burger to be fried either. The brioche bun maybe was old because it was crumbly on the edges and in the middle. Id like to try a regular burger next time as yelpers have good reviews, and the truffle fries. We sat outside at one of three tables on a nice day. I love people watching. Don't go inside to Domino's or get Burger King or McDonald's across the way. Give this place a try. Support the locals.

Awesome burger and awesome fries- visiting from CA! Missing In N Out and this is so much better!

They opened with beef tartare that ruined me for every other beef tartare I've ever had. The osso buco is legendary. Then came the double cheeseburger... and I need everyone to understand that I don't hand out compliments like ketchup packets. This is, without question, the best burger I've ever eaten. It's so good it makes you want a cigarette afterward--and I don't even smoke. I've come back many times just for that burger because nothing else I've tried on Hawaiʻi Island or Oʻahu comes close. Their tater tots have developed their own fan club, and the little bar with beer, wine, and cocktails makes it dangerously easy to linger. The staff is consistently warm and welcoming. After being away for six weeks because of a family emergency, one of my first stops after returning was this burger. It was still outstanding, but I did notice the beef patty seemed about a third to nearly half thinner than I remembered. At around $20, that's noticeable. I'm hoping it was just an off day because this place has earned enough goodwill for me to give it another shot. Don't overlook the butcher shop itself. The meat quality is miles beyond what you'll find in a grocery store. I bought their ground beef for a ragù alla Bolognese, and it was so spectacular that I went back specifically to buy more for homemade burgers. Bottom line: this is one of the hidden gems of the island. Come for the butcher shop, stay for the burger, and if you leave without wondering whether you should light an imaginary post-burger cigarette, we clearly ordered different meals.

We decided to try two different items on their small menu; a pastrami and hamburger. Both were so fresh you could actually taste the difference. Nothing like fresh meat! Both were well-seasoned and TENDER, the bun on the burger was a brioche which was very moist. We also got their version of Mac salad which was quite good The laulau sausage was very good, just never had laulau in a sausage before. GPS gave us the incorrect directions, but we found it. The exterior, and interior, of the building is nothing special. As a matter of fact, that's part of what I loved about it; it helps you realize it's an all around fantastic food joint, not just somewhere that charges overpriced amounts for average food because of the "vibe." It's extremely busy inside this place, and staff was extremely friendly and pretty quick with turning out orders. I ordered a two entree plate, which consisted of their teriyaki chicken and pina colada shrimp, per the recommendation of the woman taking my order. The shrimp was incredible and the pins colada sauce that it comes with it's something I now dream about! The chicken was also great. It's dark meat, which is something to keep in mind in case you're a pickier eater, but the char and flavor of it was wonderful. For the sides I ordered rice and their mac salad. They had both indoor and outdoor seating, the indoor seating looked more like a bar setting, not somewhere you would necessarily want to hang around for a while to eat. The outdoor area had more tables but was pretty bare bones. There were some TVs that looked like they were mounted but none of them were on and the one by us looked broken. My husband ordered vegan nachos which said it came with melted shredded cheese. We were extremely surprised when they came out not with shredded cheese but with grated powder parmesan cheeze (that you would sprinkle on a pasta). I honestly thought there had been a mistake but when I asked about it they said it was correct. Honestly the worst nachos we've ever had. The grated parmesan didn't melt of all of course so we paid $20 for some dry tortilla chips with dusted cheeze lol. I am baffled why they didn't use actual shredded cheese that melts, especially because I know they had it since it was on my sandwich. I got the buffalo chick'n sandwich which was ok overall. I think if they had breaded the chick'n cutlet it probably would have been a little better. Even though it did have the buffalo sauce on it I felt like it was lacking some flavor - like perhaps a coleslaw or pickled vegetables would have helped. Overall we had high hopes for this place and were disappointed. I do appreciate they made an effort with the vegan options, I'm hoping they make some adjustments to improve the dishes though.
